Those who have been longing for years for a Parasite Eve sequel could get slightly dissapointed by The 3rd Birthday, which continues the story, but not the gameplay, becoming a more linear and repetitive game, focused almost only on combat. But it is a great action game, with lots of customization options and a good control scheme.

Charming visuals and time-travel mechanics bring moments of enjoyment, but technical issues, outdated design, and lack of polish hold the game back from living up to its potential. Still, a fantastic sequel we’ve been waiting for a decade.

It’s been a tough start, but this is the way to go. If they keep polishing the experience and adding content, Los Santos is going to be our home for a long time.

Bayonetta 3 may have fallen a little behind the previous adventures of this charismatic witch, but even so, it has turned out to be a very complete game that, when focused on pure and simple action, gives us absolutely incredible moments thanks to a system of novel, accessible, fun and very deep combat and a staging that takes the show by the flag to leave us totally stunned with its choreography and the scale of the conflicts in which we will find ourselves submerged. And in the end, those virtues are the ones that end up prevailing in the face of the irregularities of its development and those that remain in our memory after the title credits, which leaves us with a very positive balance.

Punch Club is fun and incredibly addictive. It's one of those games you can't stop playing once you've started, so give this one a try if you're looking for something different.

The Division is big, fun, intense, deep... the list goes on and on. Ubisoft has delivered one of the best action games we've played in a few years, with a concept that can keep the players engaged for a long time. A truly next-generation game.

It may not have the same impact Disgaea 4 had, but it feels like a better game, and it's one of those very few Japanese franchises that continues to surprise us after many years.

It is not the best Mario game in the last years, but it is great as a portable Super Mario, one of the best portable games ever starred by Mario. Despite this, we think this game could have been even better, as Nintendo has always achieved extreme levels of quality will its major series. Anyway, a must-have for 3DS owners.

Behind a dull design, this is one of the best platformers we've seen in a few years. Extremely hard and addictive, it's one of those games that catches you for hours.

Dreams is an incredibly capable tool, full of possibilities that has been surprising us for almost a year now since it was first released in Early Access. The story mode is fantastic, although quite short, but the quantity and the quality of the user-made content makes up for it.

We know it looks like yet another farming simulator, but Stardew Valley is much more. It's so well-crafted, smart and deep that it made us fall in love with it in a matter of minutes.

It still is as good as we remember it. If you've already played it on Wii there are not too many reasons to play it again, but if you missed it, you've got in front of you one of the best platformers we've seen in the last few years.

NBA 2K21 feels like a new game on the new consoles. From the graphics to the gameplay, all the way to the new city, it all feels next gen. It still shares the micro transaction greediness with the previous generation, but that aside, it keeps to deliver an excellent basketball game.

Last year, The Show failed to deliver the right amount of additions to the series, but this year we've been overwhelmed by how many things San Diego Studio is bringing. Again, the best game for baseball fans.

A new experience in puzzle games that will keep us playing for a long while. There's a whole new way of solving enigmas while we learn some things about real life thanks to the philosophical clues the game gives us.

A surprisingly addictive experience, with loads of fun to offer as long as we have friends to bring home and play with, since it's multiplayer-focused and there's no online modes.

Frontiers of Pandora is a beautiful game with a fantastic open world, great ideas and solid gameplay that raises the bar for future Ubisoft sandbox titles. If you like the franchise and Ubisoft’s approach to the open world, we can recommend this adventure to you without reservations.

The Division 2 is a huge game, full of content and things to do. The best part of it is that, thanks to its excellent gameplay, you’ll enjoy every single mission. The missions themselves could have better design, and things like the matchmaking are far from perfect, but overall it’s a great ‘shooter looter’.

This is a JRPG that you shouldn’t miss if you enjoyed the 16-bit era of the genre, although it also manages to balance the nostalgia with a modern design to make both old-schoolers and new comers fall in love with it.

If the next main game of the blue hedgehog manages to maintain the level of quality, spectacularity and complexity of the levels of Shadow Generations while polishing the formula of open areas of free exploration that we saw in Frontiers and with which they have continued to experiment and test ideas here, we are convinced that the great future that Sonic told us about in 2011 is closer than ever to becoming a reality.

Cult of the Lamb offers a great combination of management and roguelite action in a beautiful, charming package that will keep us busy for many hours.

Warzone is one of the best Battle Royale out there, with great visuals and fantastic and original ideas… and also some hacking issues. The foundation is incredibly solid, and now it’s only up to Activision keeps updating it and making it cheater-free.

It is a great surprise, and even though we've felt the team behind could have pushed harder to make it a better experience, it's a game fans of the genre will definitely enjoy.

Telltale makes an outstanding season final to wrap up one of its best series until now. Fans of Borderlands and/or Telltale shouldn't miss Tales from the Borderlands.

Rise is a fantastic expansion that adds not only a great selection of new monsters, but tonnes of content and new gameplay features.
