While Monkey Race and Monkey Fight are not worth much of your attention, you can have fun with Monkey Ball for some time. But even with the fairly poor current library of the 3DS, there are better options.

Akiba’s Trip: Hellbound & Debriefed is the remastered version of a japanese PSP game, which never got localized before, and now we can finally figure out what's going on here. Considering its captivating cast of characters and the somewhat cool and engaging story featuring the player's ability to make choices, this bizarre game has aged extremely badly due to its cumbersome gameplay. Storywise, Akiba’s Trip: Hellbound & Debriefed is totally worth it. Although, it deserved a better treatment or even a remake rather than this low-effort remaster.

Fish'em All! is a medium game. It doesn't have great graphics, it bothers in sound effects (because banjos make anyone furious) and it fails it gameplay matters. If at least this last one worked, the other two wouldn't be of big importance.

Hellpoint is a satisfying sci-fi twist in the Soulslike universe, it brings an interesting setting and adds a lot of surprisingly positive mechanics to this gender. On the other hand, the Switch version is a bit lackluster as it comes with unimpressive graphics and general performance issues that compromise the experience for most players who are eager for a great Soulslike experience.

While Europe and Japan have launched Wii Chess, which has better graphics and a bigger variety of game options, the American Wii has as the best (and only option) chess game Silver Star Chess.

Shut the Box delivers something even simpler than the other games by RCMADIAX, and although this may be the one with the best game mechanic, its content is so shallow that, instead of delivering good fun, the game is just a distraction.

With well-implemented mechanics and a gradual difficulty curve that blends combat and platforming in a challenging yet fair way, along with enjoyable exploration and a story that does, in fact, fit the series, Legacy of Kain: Ascendance is not without major flaws: besides being short, it features repetitive enemies and environments, and it does not allow players to skip dialogue when revisiting stages for further exploration. That said, it is a competent 2D game for fans of the genre and a solid addition to the beloved series.

If you're looking for something that reminds you of the great classics, it's better to let Rodea pass.

Dream Alone is an unpleasant experience. It really needed a great amount of polish to even be a recommendable game. I was really disappointment with the enormous headache this game caused me.

AeternoBlade II had the potential to be a notable metroidvania in the Nintendo Switch’s library, but unfortunately it will be remembered as little more than a bug-laden mess, regardless of the couple of interesting ideas it brought forward.

The Force Unleashed II on the DS has medium graphics and interesting sound effects, but everything else is sad. The force, definitely, is not in this title.

It is a paradox that a paid product has less content and quality that dozens of similar freewares out there.

Assault Gunners HD Edition shouldn't be released at all, since there's no positive aspects in the game. A generic soundtrack, bad graphics and repetitive gameplay summarizes what the game is. While the mecha customization is cool, it took way too long to understand how it all works and the payoff isn't worth it.

Apparently, Nintendo had to revisit Urban Champion at least once. We should all be happy that's out of the way now, hoping that true classics show up next in the eShop as 3D Classics.

Hollow is a good horror game inspired by great games like Alien: Isolation and Resident Evil Revelations. However, the game sins by executing mechanics like melee combat, for example. Although the graphics are excellent and it has an excellent atmosphere, the weird movement of the enemies makes the game look odd at times. The game is frightening at times when you walk alone on the ship listening to voices succumbing to the dark, you do get some scares, but it is not frequent. The gameplay is within the standards of the current horror games. Despite its problems, Hollow is a highly recommended game for horror fans and games like Resident Evil Revelations and Alien: Isolation.

Despite its relatively low price, Monochrome Racing provides enough entertainment for a very short time.

Overall, Crystal Defenders R2 is better than R1, although it maintains the technical issues. It may keep you busier due to the greater variety of unities and the higher difficulty, but nothing changes the fact they should be launched as one, like in Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

There's nothing to see here. Another bomb from Aksys on WiiWare, which, this time, couldn't even fulfill the least a player expects from a generic Wii Remote game: swings of the controller.

Like the game's focus, the realism on the graphics could only be great, and are. For a WiiWare game, the textures are extremely detailed and, in addition to the great sound effects and fish movements, it creates an atmosphere like the one promised.

No graphic (there aren't even movements on it!) or sound appeal, it only serves as a test on WiiWare.

It's easy to understand that this title is for kids. For fans of the series, there isn't appeal in the package that, despite some minutes of fun, won't captivate for too long.

Your levels require memorization of what to do and after a while you can progress smoothly. Boss battles are the most fun of the game. The soundtrack is not bad, but it does not match the game, it bothers you even more in battles against bosses. The small price of Deep Ones makes it a good option for those looking for a few hours of fun at a light price, but it is not even a mandatory game for Switch owners, as Deep Ones is a game with a very specific audience.

Spiral Splatter is a game that does not deserve your attention and is not worth even for fans of puzzle games. It is something that deviated from the previous pole of being released.

Where Are My Friends? is a game that made me happy playing. Anyone venturing out looking for lost friends will be pleasantly surprised.

Concept Destruction offers fun disputes involving battery powered cardboard carts, in which your objective is, literally, to crush and avoid being crushed by your opponents. The game has a great soundtrack, good gameplay, themed scenarios with cardboard structures, and customizable vehicles.

Steven Universe focuses less on world interaction and more on combat, which is odd considering the protagonist rant on peace, but it’s still a great RPG to kill some time and the Switch port is excellent.

World Splitter is a very beautiful puzzle platformer, with a big replay factor due to several available achievements and a multiplayer mode. Its innovative gameplay is a nice fresh touch for platformers and makes for extremely satisfying puzzles to solve.

Exodemon goes beyond its original objective of paying homage to retro FPS games, being able to be at the shelf with them. Its gameplay is faithful to its source at the same time that it manages to not feel outdated.

Afterpulse is a good shooter that provides casual fun for many hours, but that's it. The game feels very generic as it doesn't build a narrative and is really lookalike to military games like PUGB without any novelties, making it hard to be attached. Graphics are also not impressive and are very similar to the mobile version, making it look a bit lackluster on Switch.

Hindsight 20/20: Wrath of The Raakshasa brings a much welcome Indian touch to the gaming universe, in a very well made action adventure in which your choices really matter. Moreover, hard moral decisions that don't have a judgment to follow make this game different every time you play it.

A very accurate and well remastered simulator. Guaranteed fun.

Mickey Storm and the Cursed Mask is a game that doesn't look ready on the Switch. The story is generic, the characters are as bland as they come, the stages are repetitive and with physics that seem completely random, not to mention the huge amount of bugs.

Secret Neighbor doesn't do a good job at being an asymmetrical multiplayer that kids can play. At least the Switch version looks incomplete, and to make matters worse, the game is heavily unbalanced and the maps feel repetitive. Not being able to play with friends is only another reason to at least wait until the game is more complete.

With a good but poorly executed premise, BATS: Bloodsucker Anti-Terror Squad tries to be frenetic and action-packed, but ends up being frustrating and monotonous. It served very well as a parody of the action squads, but as a game it is mediocre.

Super Mombo Quest is a great game that mixes different types of gameplay and explores them in a unique and lively way; it is impossible to read MOMBO COMBO and not sing. It is a highly recommended game for players who love metroidvanias and platforms.

Airborne Kingdom is a unique experience in civilization games, in which the only enemies to combat are gravity, the mood of your inhabitants and a possible scarceness of resources with a creative gameplay that is, most of the time, relaxing and fun.

Pile Up! - Box by Box is a great 3D platform game, which brings together all the pretty basic elements of games of this genre into a fun experience. Assuming the purpose of a cardboard box, you must use your skills to jump and to stack up other boxes, in order to reach all the objectives and bring peace back to the island.

What Lies in the Multiverse was one of the best platform games I've played this year. Very accurate, with great challenges, it's not tiring and has good breaks to see the plot developing (which is all located in PT-BR, in a wonderful way). I want to go back and finish the achievements just to see if I can extract anything more from the worlds of What Lies in the Multiverse, even though it doesn't have more than one ending, which I found a bit disappointing considering the plot.

Red Wings: American Aces is a great game for those looking for an arcade style shooter and with plenty of potential pro multiplayer (especially because it is coming out pretty cheap). He could be a little fairer in solo mode. I would love to be able to go online and always find a room to play.

Tasomachi is a good frame to be admired, but not to be played. The game feels like a beta thing, not to mention that there's not much to do in terms of gameplay aside from collecting stuff and solving repetitive puzzles.

Hazel Sky is an indie that seemed to be a very ambitious project, however, it gives me the impression of having narrowed down its scope to get good to go on the launch date.

Commandos 3 is the living proof that an old game, when done with care and balance, retains its fun even after 19 years of its release. I would be lying if I say I didn't immerse myself again and had a lot of fun with the HD Remaster, but sadly, the immense quantity of bugs and game breaking quickloads that comes with full price make it hard to give a high score, especially when you have Commandos 2 HD, a more complete package. But, if you wanna try, it's still Commandos with its addictive gameplay and personality.

Heidelberg 1693 has an interesting and grotesque way to tell its story, and is filled with cool secrets to be found. But sadly, the graphical mess added with its gameplay flaws prevents it from being enjoyable, becoming an unfairly hard and frustrating experience.

If you enjoy games with psychological narratives like Silent Hill, the story behind Saint Kotars plot will not let you down: it's scary, sinister and will keep the player longing for answers all the time. But sadly, the technical problems like the non-intuitive menus and the bad performance every time you make a choice will make this somewhat interesting experience into a real chore.

Perseverance - Complete Edition has an interesting and complex family drama, but falls short when it comes to the horror segments that, mixed with an uninteresting art, make this game only advised for the die hard fans of mystery visual novels with nothing better to play.

NASCAR Arcade Rush is one of the worst racing games I've ever had the chance to play in my life. Its lack of content and superficiality is absurd - in addition to the removal of features on the Switch version - is definitely a shame for the NASCAR franchise.

For fans of the series, the collection is an excellent opportunity to revive classic titles and with a considerable amount of content that can keep them busy for a long while. For those that don’t share the nostalgia, the collection has four racing games that are very good, but also need a lot of practice and patience to be enjoyed.

All Things Wicked, the new chapter from Dead by Daylight, has become my new favorite original chapter. Along with a formidable survivor with an original mechanic and rich lore, it also brings a terrifying killer with a variety of playstyles and an exquisitely made new map. Though there are a few disappointing perks, this is overall the greatest original chapter that Behaviour has created, and I sincerely hope there will be more chapters that tie in with previous ones.

This port is an amazing comeback of one of the greatest counterparts for The King of Fighters in the Neo Geo era. It has many interesting extras, achievements to enrich the single-player experience and, although it could have some balance against bosses and less long loading screens to access modes, this is a great port to have on Switch if you are a fighting game enthusiast.

Footgun Underground is a 2D roguelike with a unique take on gameplay—while its combat system attempts bold innovation, it neglects essential elements like variety, balance, and immersion. For all its potential, the game falters in executing its core vision; even its standout mechanics fail to shine.

This is definitely a game done with passion by the team, with a classic approach on the fighting genre mixed with modern aspects to bring young players to the ring, packed with many extras modes and unlockables. That said, the constant slowdowns, hit detection that needs polishing and some bug crashing game hinders the fun on the Nintendo Switch platform. Let's hope a patch will correct all this in the near future.

even with the new engine, Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate is a remake that doesn't correct its fatal flaws: easy (to boredom) gameplay and dumb AI. It has some nice ideas, like the RPG system of level up, but because of the flaws mentioned above, these mechanics are completely useless. Still a little fun to play 4 co-op to pass time, though.

A sequel to a game that nobody remembered, Beyond the Ice Palace II is a welcome new addition to the 2D platform indie metroidvania library, with great action and puzzle mechanics, an amazing atmosphere, and outstanding music. It's a bit too short, has some bugs, but nothing that ruins the fun experience.

Despite the controversy, Tokyo Ghoul proved to be an excellent way to bring anime/manga elements into Dead by Daylight. Ken Kaneki makes for a powerful and enjoyable Killer to play, though frustratingly oppressive to face. His design fits DBD's core gameplay seamlessly—with some balancing tweaks, he could be perfect. It's just a shame his Perks don't quite live up to the same standard.

Spiritfall is one of the best roguelikes I've played in recent times. Fluid, satisfying and highly addictive, its highly versatile gameplay creates a wide range of possibilities and ways to play. A great choice for those who like to try to create combos and attacks, even if they don't think they know how to do it.

Starlight Legacy doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it offers a cozy, nostalgic love letter to the 16-bit era that feels like finding your favorite childhood blanket. While it treads familiar ground, its comfort and charm carve out a space worth noticing—even in a crowded field of similar titles.

With so may classic fighting games out there for the Nintendo Switch system, its hard to recommend ADVANCED V.G Saturn Tribute. But if you have some sort of connection with the game, being nostalgia or curiosity towards the story (but for that you gonna have to know Japanese!), there are new graphical and guide options to improve the game.

Chronicles of the Wolf is a true ode to the classic and mid-era of Castlevania, blending the best of both to deliver a progressively engaging game, well balanced difficulty, and highly atmospheric in its storytelling, with plenty of secrets to uncover. That’s not to say it lacks polish—but by no means do these minor flaws get in the way of the incredible experience the title offers.

Dead by Daylight: Five Nights at Freddy’s wasn’t just the most anticipated chapter in DBD’s history—it delivered. A landmark moment for horror gaming and a stellar kickoff to DBD Year 9, this chapter gives us the Animatronic Springtrap (a nightmare perfected for DBD’s roster), a meticulously crafted map, and quality-of-life updates that feel long overdue. A love letter to FNAF fans, merged perfectly with DBD.

Beat 'Em Up Collection (QUByte Classics) is far from having titles that could be considered classics like Final Fight or Streets of Rage, but brings solid titles (and a few pretty bad ones too) to the mix. It’s fun for those who enjoy classic Beat ‘em ups or to play with friends.

The Wandering Village is a breath of fresh air in the city-builder genre. Juggling a thriving settlement atop the back of a massive, living creature that you have to take care of offers a delightfully unique twist — and while the story isn't the deepest, the sheer variety of gameplay modes ensures hundreds of hours of engaging playtime — an absolute gem.

Karma City Police is a very interesting and creative narrative adventure in many ways, but its gameplay lacks polish. It succeeds in conveying its story, but it loses immersion because of it.

Let’s not sugarcoat it: Dead by Daylight: The Walking Dead is the worst chapter BHVR has released in a while. Not because of the characters - they’re well-made, with original voices and cool interactions, plus at least two genuinely useful Perks - but because of everything around the release. The update is a mess: packed with bugs, riddled with stability issues, and with all the communication issues, it gets even worse. BHVR dropped the ball hard this time. Here’s hoping they can rebound sooner rather than later, because right now, playing DBD is a sad balance between fun and frustration.

Spy Drops is a charming stealth espionage game with a nostalgic feel and concise gameplay. However, the lack of polish, poor AI behavior, and randomly generated stages that always feel the same make the game boring very quickly. It has good ideas but is poorly executed.

Here is another indie that relies on the Overcooked formula, but does not seem to understand what made the saga so successful.
