Liberation Maiden received praise on the 3DS, but in losing the element of physical control it seems that a crucial component of this brisk-paced shooter has been lost.- TouchGen

If you are a fan of Bejeweled, Triple Towns, Alchemy or slide puzzles this is a no-brainer. If you cringe when playing Resident Evil, and the slide puzzles show up this is not for you. Alien Hive is a refreshing mashup of genres, and it is a game that is easy to get into and really hard to put away.- TouchGen

It’s a real shame that there are so few levels in the main game then. There are challenge and practice modes included, but the whole thing is so fun that it leaves you wanting much more to play with; 18 just doesn’t seem enough.- TouchGen

No one particular element of Legion struck me as better than its peers available on the PC. However; it happens to be the only game of its specific kind on the iPad. The iPad specific controls work well enough- though not as well as a game like Battle of the Bulge. This is a good start for historical grand strategy on the iPad, but there is significant room for growth.- TouchGen

Unmechanical isn’t a bad game, but it lacks that bit of extra polish and fun that I had expected.- TouchGen

Metal Slug X is a fun shooter with a load of content. The touch screen controls let it down at times, but most of the time they work well enough. I am not sure if Metal Slug X is worth it if you already own Metal Slug 2, and it would have been nice to have it as an IAP upgrade as well. For newcomers to the series this is a perfect start.- TouchGen

Sonic Dash is a quick automatic runner that harnesses the essence of the franchise in a great way. Perfect for both a five-minute break, and a lazy evening in the sofa.- TouchGen

Overall it’s a simple, fun and addictive package. No iAP, no complications, and impressive in the looks and sound department. Plays a good game too.- TouchGen

This is a pretty classic hardcore experience down to the perma-death, annoying mechanical movement (you MUST go AROUND this small pool of water that any human could simply step over), and unhelpful menus (get four layers deep into a menu and you have to press ‘back’ four times to resume your game).- TouchGen

If you are just playing Mini Ninjas for a quick diversion and don’t get caught up in the implications that a paid system has on the scoring you are in for a treat. Those who want to sink tons of time and money into the title certainly can. I’d say that Square Enix has done a much better job at publishing a much better free to play title than they have in the past.- TouchGen

You see ‘Gun Bros 2’ isn’t exactly engrossing; it’s actually repetitive at best. There’s an initial piquing of interest as you hoist those oversized bits of kit around, putting colourful things out of their misery, but it’s not enough to keep you coming back long term.- TouchGen

Nightmerica’s core components could be used in a better game, one with physical controls. The majority of the effort was clearly put into the weapon variety and effects- both of which should be implemented in a better, more meaty game. On their own, though, they aren’t enough to carry this arena shooter.- TouchGen

The presentation is stellar: both in graphics, and sound. The levels are also varied forcing you to find new ways to optimize the effect of each throw. To me this is almost a perfect game, and the only thing I really miss is a local multiplayer mode that would make this a real party game for a long time.- TouchGen

‘The God’s: Rebellion’ is the game equivalent of fast food – pretty (tasty), not exactly good for you (not much depth), but you can’t help having more. It might not be the most sophisticated title, but there’s a thousand other App Store games for that. If you’re in the mood for the simple act of putting pointed steel to soft demon flesh, you could do far worse.- TouchGen

It is easy to have a blast with Hell Yeah! Pocket Inferno due to simple controls, and constant action. It is even worth replaying when you have upgraded your guns to allow new routes to be taken. Don’t expect the same game, as on console, but rather something more suited to mobile gaming on the go.- TouchGen

Up In Flames is a fun physics puzzle playing with fire that adds some new tricks to the formula. I just wished it could be a bit friendlier to kids, as putting animals on fire isn’t the nicest thing to do. Especially since they whimper in pain. I hope to see a kid option in future updates. Other than that this is a game well worth your time.- TouchGen

King Cashing 2 improves on the original in ways I couldn’t even imagine, and takes the formula into a completely new realm. This is the kind of game that you can play for hours without knowing it, or just as well play for five minutes on the bus. No matter how, and when you play it you will have a great time.- TouchGen

Little Inferno shines softly with originality and cuteness but never moves beyond this. As a more luxurious variation of Doodle God ($ 0,99), the game falls short and is not worth the hefty price tag. With all the tapping at coins and waiting, I can’t help but wonder: could Little Inferno have turned out better as a freemium game?- TouchGen

Penumbear is a quality puzzle platformer with a lot of content, and unsettling presentation. It never feels casual, and finding all the hidden stuff means you have to be prepared to have Penumbear impaled on spikes quite a lot. Not a game for the kiddies, but rather a game for those into darker games such as Limbo, Nihilumbra or Oscura.- TouchGen

Stardust Hero is one of those games that you just want to keep on playing. Sadly it ends, and when it does you haven´t got much left to do. Sure there are bonus levels, and some secrets to find but I never wanted it to end no matter what. Still this comes highly recommended, and you will get hours of relaxed exciting fun.- TouchGen

Love Gears is a casual gear puzzle game that brings smiles to gamers. It might not be a revolution to the genre, or provide the hardest gear puzzles out there. It is one of those games you can play together with your kids, or by yourself if you are keen on maximizing your scores. An easy game to recommend.- TouchGen

The developers of Wanderer shouldn’t have expected the virtual joypad to work, and it doesn’t. All of the art and fancy lighting in the game don’t make up for the fact that it is a highly simplistic arena brawler with shoddy controls.- TouchGen
