Starbloom is a simple game, and I was able to complete it over the course of two short sittings. I don't feel compelled to repeat the content, primarily because I just didn't find myself that engrossed. Starbloom has a pleasant aural accompaniment- which is probably the best thing about this otherwise unremarkable game.

All in all the game will probably satisfy the all-time Sim City fans out there; but if you are a new comer, like me, I would suggest you start learning how to play it somewhere else, or you get a friend to explain it to you, because $6.99 might be a lot to waste on something you might never get the hang off.

Nightmerica’s core components could be used in a better game, one with physical controls. The majority of the effort was clearly put into the weapon variety and effects- both of which should be implemented in a better, more meaty game. On their own, though, they aren’t enough to carry this arena shooter.

Mercenary Ops is still a decent arcade shooter for the iPad. The action is fast, the visuals are pretty, and it is a nice way to sit back on the couch and blast away zombies for a few minutes.
