There is most certainly an audience for Rebus. After all, if there are people who can complete the New York Times' Saturday crossword in less than six minutes, then surely there are people who can look at the number 6135 and work out that the answer is "face". If you're one of those people then go ahead, download and enjoy. But for the rest of us, you'd better be ready to spend some cash on clues.

If you have a few hours and an axe to grind against angry tortured spirits, embrace the panda. There is a chance you won't hate it, instead, like me, you might actually really enjoy it.

To be honest, Proto Raider is one of those games you're likely to only play through once. You'll have a great time figuring out the trick to each level, collecting all the treasures, and seeing every stage.

Strangely enough, I ended up enjoying this one a little more than the previous games, even while recognizing that the trick is starting to get old.

If you enjoyed the first game, Five Nights At Freddy's 2 is a no-brainer purchase. It's a better game in almost every respect, though its difficulty might turn some away.

It's not just unique, Breath of Light is pushing boundaries in terms of what a game can or should be and is definitely worth a look.

This episode starts off with you having to remove a man's eye from its socket so that you can do a retinal scan to access a computer...with a darkly comic kicker. So yeah, this episode is a step down, if only because Episode 1 consisted of significantly less eyeball trauma.

I definitely have to recommend Silly Sausage in Meat Land. It involves a stretchy sausage dog that can sniff its own butt, and it costs you nothing to download.

This is pure arcade blasting action on your phone or tablet. But, for me, with its pernickety jumping challenges, Jump'N'Shoot Attack stops being fun and becomes tiresome very quickly.

Stickman Rush is a bit of a one-trick pony: It looks wonderful, and little else.

So, if you enjoy puzzle games, hidden object games, crime-solving games, or all of the above mixed in one, I have just the right number of dead bodies for you.

Combining a respectful homage to its source material with a decent battle system and loads of unlockables, Final Fantasy: Record Keeper is the real deal in my book.

If you enjoy relatively deep management games and have even a passing interest in science and space, then this is definitely a game you should check out.

I see Heavenstrike Rivals as a mobile game that just happens to have connections in console gaming.

Magenta Arcade is definitely a shoot 'em up worth checking out for anyone who appreciates the genre, or even has been looking for something that feels right on mobile.

SwapQuest is a perfect example of a game with a simple premise that is executed so well and includes so many complementary layers that it becomes an experience far beyond that premise.

Even with its failings, I still think it's a good game that may not live up to the highest standards of Sid Meier's name, but certainly doesn't tarnish it.

I’ve been really impressed with Odd Bot Out, even the lack of tutorials provided a challenge which was a puzzle in itself. The game is fresh, challenging, and the wobbly walk of our robotic hero is definitely worth checking out if you like puzzle games.

If you can stick with it and see it through, I promise the juice is worth the squeeze. If you're prone to moving on to the next game when you hit stubborn walls, I'm afraid you've probably got the wrong number here.

This game is utterly uproarious, and Tin Man did a great job at using their gamebook engine, along with their visual and music touches, at making this come to life.

RAD Boarding is incredibly well-made as a game, but everything around the game feels like it needed some tweaking and time in other people's hands to be changed and improved.

I have seen better looking games, and I have heard better sound tracks, and I have played more complex arcade games. But not very many at all that have managed to combine them half as well as Imps in Tokyo.

Make no mistake, Dungeon Hunter 5 is knee-deep in its freemium systems and it’s not going to make any converts of those that are staunchly against such elements. However, for those others willing to engage with what it offers in the environment that it offers it in, I believe you’ll have a good time.

If you're even slightly weary with the whole JRPG idea, I'd steer clear of Grace Of Letoile, though. While its plot is unusual and its specific mechanics are unique, the overall trappings are about what you would expect at this point from the Kemco assembly line.

Maybe with a fully featured story, a world map, and multiple paths to pursue, Combo Queen could have been a really cool action-RPG hybrid. Instead it's a rather limited rhythm title that isn't going to appeal to everyone -- especially if you don't have the patience to painstakingly learn the ins and outs of the system.
