Goat Simulator Pinball is another solid piece of DLC from the folks at Zen Studios, who have made so many tables by now that they likely relish a chance to do something off-the-wall like this. It’s a tricky table to learn, but once you do you’ll get to see some truly wacky stuff. Fans of the Goat Simulator games who can stick with the game long enough to learn the ropes will be rewarded, but it’s going to take a bit more work to get there than with some other tables.

Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth is a little different from the usual Ace Attorney game, but it carries a similar feel and quality that should please fans of the other games. The mobile version is sensibly improved from the original Nintendo DS release, as well. Adventure game fans would do well to give this game a look. As with other Ace Attorney games, it's a bit of a long haul, with over 20 hours of play required to reach the ending, but you won't notice the time passing by for a pretty good portion of that.

Just like the Fitness Boxing Fist of the North Star release from Imagineer, Fitness Boxing feat. HATSUNE MIKU is a solid fitness-focused game that does a great job of bringing Miku to the world of Fitness Boxing to try and appeal to her fans. Lichtspeer comes with a solid amount of content. The 13 levels alone for $3.99 would be worth it, but there are multiple difficulties to play after that, not to mention the quest for gold medals on each level. If you preordered for $1.99, you're a freaking genius. The developers estimate about 4-6 hours, and that sounds about accurate. There isn't an endless mode, though this would be perfect for mobile in particular. While the game doesn’t do a whole lot to shake up the formula and its story is going to be largely nonsensical to those unfamiliar with the somewhat vintage Record of Lodoss War property, the controls are tight, the pacing is brisk, and the map designs are strong. While Picross -LogiartGrimoire- doesn’t do anything revolutionary from a mechanical standpoint, its new framing for the puzzles makes this the best entry point for the series in quite a long while. If you’ve never played a Picross game before, I think this is the one to start with as far as the Switch releases go. If you have played a Picross game before, you probably picked this up the minute it released anyway.

It's pleasant but shallow. That said, I recommend Color Zen unequivocally, and I'd easily plop down more money for even more content, especially if it gets more difficult.

I really like TypeShift. I think it's an awfully fun game, and I always found myself coming back to it not long after putting it down over some irritating puzzle or another. But its various parts don't quite lock together as well as smoothly as you might hope, leaving the overall experience a little wanting. It's also a bit of a battery hog, surprisingly enough. If you enjoy word games, you'll almost certainly want to check this one out in spite of the little problems I've mentioned. There are tons of free puzzles to try out that should give you a solid idea of whether this is your thing or not. TypeShift might not have the accessible charms of SpellTower, but it does quite well in carving out a different sort of enjoyment all to itself.

Escape From the Pyramid will scratch your itch if you're looking for another challenging runner that actually has an end. It could use a few tweaks control-wise and maybe a bit more content down the line, but for now it's a great way to unwind and watch all of the IAP-heavy runners pass you by.

A great game to pick up if you are bored of other match three games but don't want to give up on the genre.

My advice is to play in a padded room, or to get a wrist strap for you phone, because this one is going to do your head in, get you throwing your device at the wall and keep you coming back for more.
