Its immense thrills and spills through the open-ended city of Bayview is exhilarating, and the culture that is emerging is created in the game to great effect.- Total Video Games

It's a surprisingly long game, with plenty to do away from the main story; Thief will consume you for months on end.- Total Video Games

Call of Duty 3 continues the heritage of the franchise to great effect. The new structure builds towards a steep and shell-shocking climactic crescendo, and shows a clear unravelling of events that precipitated one of the most important battles of the Normandy Breakout, making the experience much less fractured than perhaps it's been in the past.- Total Video Games

Split/Second is an original concept made irksome by a lack of depth and highly questionable balancing in the gameplay. Nonetheless, we can't help but feel that there's a lot more mileage left in Blackrock's big idea.- Total Video Games

It’s a fantastic system that allows you to become more involved with your troops and resources on an individual level, ensuring a higher level of attention is paid on developing tactics and strategies based on the different warriors you’ve got.- Total Video Games

Quite honestly the first realistic shooter I’ve found myself completely enthralled within. It’s cross between Medal of Honor/Call of Duty and Full Spectrum Warrior gameplay creates an experience that is fresh and compelling, while the multiplayer mode should make this one of the most popular titles around.- Total Video Games

Some gamers will complete the campaign mode fairly quickly, but thankfully the addition of the Infrastructure modes and the voice chat lift the game to a strong comparative position to its PS2 cousins.- Total Video Games

It may not be the most original game in the world, but the fact that it offers a level of fun that is certainly unparalleled in the genre more than makes up for that.- Total Video Games

All of the Xbox Live gametypes offer support for the oft forgotten Xbox Live Vision Camera, where players can see their opponents in a small Picture-in-Picture screen in the corner of the TV. A nice detail that's more about bragging/flaming rights than an in-depth addition to the gameplay, perhaps it's an option for developers to make use of the peripheral.- Total Video Games

The amalgamation of Tony Hawk's and "Jackass" is the videogame equivalent of a match-made in heaven, and certainly makes a marked improvement upon the weak story of its predecessor.- Total Video Games

By eliminating many of the factors that we've come to expect Square-Enix has delivered a Final Fantasy XIII that is different, but also desperately attempts to cling on to some elements of the past purely to maintain conventions. Unfortunately, the biggest criticism is the fact that you're left with a feeling of playing for the sake of it, rather than savoring it.- Total Video Games

EA went with the idea that if they put in the ‘freestyling’ option, everyone would love the game – this may set the game alight, but by no means does it make the game stand out from the crowd – there just isn’t enough quality in the rest of the game.- Total Video Games

It seems a little harsh to accuse Enslaved of presenting style over substance but the feeling remains nonetheless: much like Heavenly Sword before it, Enslaved is an exceptionally well produced game from Ninja Theory where gameplay takes a passenger seat and cinematic presentation drives the experience.- Total Video Games

Halo Wars is a solid enough Real-Time Strategy experience from Ensemble, with a campaign that's just about challenging enough on the harder difficulties, and multiplayer features that has everything you'd would expect from any example of the genre.- Total Video Games

MotorStorm Pacific Rift retains the same charms that MotorStorm offered but, as with the original game, there's just not enough variation in the single-player campaign because the race modes on offer are fairly rudimentary.- Total Video Games

Packed full of rewarding and entertaining features, Saints Row 2 is an unadulterated videogame that makes no attempt to rival GTA4. Instead, it's quite content to offer plenty of fun and set itself as a worthy alternative to Rockstar's opus.- Total Video Games

Blur is to racing games what Modern Warfare was to shooters. It easily combines the solid racing action we've come to expect from Bizarre Creations with power-ups that provide plenty of depth and options in the game. More significantly its the multitude of layers to the game, in terms of extra challenges and multiplayer, that creates the most absorbing arcade racing action we've had since Burnout Revenge. Simply a must-have for racing fans.- Total Video Games
