Ultimately, The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is a decent overall package that succeeds more due to the remastering of quiet classic Butcher Bay than the somewhat disappointing more recent episode Dark Athena.- Thunderbolt

After experiencing The Godfather II in its entirety, it’s impossible to deny that this is an unfinished, irrational product that fails to capitalise on the license which has been well and truly worn out after two poor iterations.- Thunderbolt

It wields simplicity and charm as convincing hooks to keep players interested in a genre that hit its stride nearly two decades ago, and its as fun now as it was then. Platformers may be a dime a dozen these days, but there isn’t one game on the PSP that matches Hammerin’ Hero in pure style and refreshing playability.- Thunderbolt

From Software’s goals with Ninja Blade appear to have been slim to negligible, and with a considerable portion of fans of the infinitely preferable Ninja Gaiden ready to buy up anything with a similar remit, they’re unlikely to be nearly as disappointed as I am.- Thunderbolt

The whole notion of a scored review seems a little arbitrary in the face of the niche and dedicated fanbase this game will attract, and its attempts at populist window-dressing are virtually pointless because for the rest of us, the whole entity is at its most lenient completely mystifying, and at its most uncompromising utterly impenetrable.- Thunderbolt

It speaks to so many things fans love about Nintendo and their products. The game shows off both the simplicity and complexity of DS, but more importantly, Rhythm Heaven is an insanely good time.- Thunderbolt

Comet Crash certainly isn't the most sophisticated looking tower defense title, but if you pass it up because of its simplistic visuals, you're truly missing out. It's chock full of clever design and great unit/tower balancing, plus it has some of the most generally engaging local multiplayer found on the PlayStation Store. Additionally, it might very well be the best RTS on the PS3.- Thunderbolt

Honestly, there aren’t any pros of playing this over buying a few Japanese comics or light novels instead if this is the sort of thing you’re looking for, and at least you can go at your own pace versus not being able to wade through the mostly trite dialogue.- Thunderbolt

If you’re a zombie freak and really like the sub-genre then this might be worth an investment, but for the rest of us there’s not really a great deal here that will pull us away from Super Stardust HD, Flower or PixelJunk.- Thunderbolt

It’s fun, it gets the job done, but it fails to genuinely improve on any of the overall Worms experience.- Thunderbolt

This could have been an inspired game, and it certainly contains some original touches and good ideas. However, just when it should be hitting top gear it is knocked back into neutral by inconsistencies and average execution.- Thunderbolt

If the end of the world is anything like that depicted by Stormrise, we can expect our siblings to lose their sense of direction and choose extraordinarily complex systems to order themselves around with. Lord have mercy on our souls.- Thunderbolt

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time on Wii is a complete mess. It’s simply unpleasant to play, which is a real shame, because content-wise it’s not half bad.- Thunderbolt

It’s still not particularly polished, however, as I experienced a couple of crashes and some audio glitches with character speech, but other than that this is a fairly solid expansion that captures what makes Fallout 3 so good.- Thunderbolt

The story and hijinks found within could’ve been the basis for yet another Oscar winning short for director Nick Park and his team at Aardman, but instead are the premise for one of the most genuinely wonderful and funny adventure games in years. It really is a grand day out.- Thunderbolt

If you can treat and accept it as a balls-to-the-wall action blockbuster, Resident Evil 5 is, if nothing else, a great looking and decent entry into the third person shooter genre with a great co-op mode that’s worth at least one play through. It’s just a shame Capcom has forgotten what it is to make me scared of the dark.- Thunderbolt

It’s one of the best looking games on the market, has impeccable presentation and wonderfully campy voice acting (this time, intentionally), a strong plot that brings back a handful of classic characters and, most of all, it’s just plain fun. Whether it’s padding slowly down a dim concrete hallway, complete with flickering florescent lights and ominous blood-splattered walls, or running from a horde of crazed, zombie villagers, Resident Evil 5 delivers a truly engrossing survival horror experience.- Thunderbolt
