While Zombies may not feature a definite storyline and doesn't prompt an extensive play-through outside of a lame achievement system connected to the player's profile through the official game site, it does play pretty well, for a touch screen FPS and manages to capture all the things I like about the Nacht der Untoten level from World at War.

IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey is a step in the right direction for flight-sims on consoles. It’s accessible for both newcomers and hardened veterans alike, and its variety of locales and mission types should hold your attention for a good few hours at least.

For sheer, adrenaline-fuelled entertainment, this game is hard to beat. So, whether you love or hate GTA IV, whether you previously dismissed Saints Row as a tired wannabe, or if you simply long for the “glory days” of Vice City, Saints Row 2 is well worth your entertainment dollar.

It is by far the most entertaining, thought-provoking, and possibly the longest game in the series. Fans of the show are in for an especially grand adventure.

Stand it beside Papa Sangre and they make a strong argument for design that begins with the technology first, refusing to force an idea onto it without contemplation - and this makes The Room feel necessary and unique, providing something unavailable elsewhere.

Apparently The Last Hope will be the last Star Ocean game to be released - if that’s the case then it’s a fitting swansong.

Overall, though, Aliens vs. Predator is a dream game for fans of the source material and, despite lacking a slick coat of whiz-bang graphical polish, ranks as one of the most unique and absorbing first-person titles for the PS3.

With its assortment of tweaks and gameplay additions, as well as a story that evolves with Nintendo-esque pacing, Supermagical manages to feel like a whole lot more than merely another casual novelty.

But the bottom-line reveals that Bejeweled 3 does nothing unexpected. It is the same game that you've played before, with a fresh coat of paint and a couple of new modes.

The side missions are exciting, and the brawls and precision aiming are superior to most of the gameplay mechanics in "GTA." It’s just too bad the whole game feels unpolished and the slowdown is so annoying.

Brutal Legend’s multiple gameplay styles are competent enough on their own, although I feel the RTS elements could have been explored more during the single player.

Mortal Kombat definitely provides a fighting experience like no other. With a return to the original all-star cast, the involving Challenge Tower, the best Story Mode in fighter history, approachable gameplay, and mindblowing graphics, this is an affair that definitely requires your attention.

The minds behind this game took what was arguably the best puzzle game on the DS, modified it to fit with a Disney theme, and managed to not screw it up.

An awesome game. It just could have been better.

It may be hard to swallow, but this former iPhone exclusive is easily the best puzzler found on the PlayStation 3.

There’s an adherence to old design tropes throughout much of Broken Age, but there’s also a yearning to find a way to tell this fun story.

The slippery movement commands make basic platforming a tedious chore. They make the potentially great online multiplayer into a convoluted mess. Despite such flaws, Uprising is still a great addition to the 3DS library.

It’s an old-fashioned beat ‘em up done right. The co-op play is excellent and even going solo can make for an entertaining time.

A charming little tower defence title with a decent story and challenging gameplay.

Despite a lopsided difficulty Midnight Club L.A. is quite enjoyable, especially if the previous installments hit home.

With a greater sense of brutality, speed, and gut-wrenching track design, the franchise is really beginning to take off.

All in all SingStar is a great game, instantly accessible with nothing to unlock, but plenty of downloadable content available online.

It provides a solid and refreshing online shooter for the hardcore and casual alike.

While technically sound, even with its enhancements Persona 4 Golden is still a port of a PS2 game. There was only so much the system can do, so if you're expecting something that will utilize the potential of the Vita, you won't find that here.

So do yourself a favor and pick this up. It’s time to throw something.

Advent is clearly a step backwards in this regard and this only serves to prolong the stagnating circumstances that the series is currently in. That said, the game is still as much of a blast as the first one was with more forms to assimilate, plenty of crazy boss fights (those who complete Expert Mode deserve much respect), better production values, and an overall smoother ride.

It might lack the brisk sense of mystery that propelled the first half of Daud’s story, but it ends on a far more satisfying and conclusive note that both expands upon the possibilities of the universe and sheds new light onto the events of the main game.

To say that 'this is the best FIFA' yet' has become a cliché, but again it's undeniable. The series' momentum continues and there's no doubt that EA have yet again outdone themselves.
