Visually and acoustically pleasing, easy to control and with a future update bringing a multiplayer mode, Infinity Blade is incredible. This is one iPhone game you need to have. Whatever you do, don't skip the end credits.

The bottom line is that this game is a lot of fun, does what it sets out to do with ease and I'm sure you'll find yourselves going back to this again and again if you get hold of it, especially if you can talk your mates into buying it too.

Switchball is an innovative new take on the traditional marble game, with a plethora of interesting additions to spice up the old formula, and stunning graphics to please the eyes.

Although it's visually dated, New Vegas is a bona fide Fallout title that contains well over 100 potential hours of quality post-apocalyptic RPG gaming that ought to please existing fans and gain the series many new ones.

The transition between the Gun del Sol and the multiple weapons is decent, implementing a slew of new features necessary to see you through the game unscathed.

Although it’s DLC, Dragonfall is an improvement on the base game, Shadowrun Returns, in every aspect. The campaign is superior, the narrative more engaging, the characters well fleshed out and the quests more compelling.

The turn-based and map-scouring gameplay is a fresh take on the series, even if the timed missions aren’t nearly as epic as the battles of the previous games.

It’s not the best racing game on the system (a title I still contend is held by "Ridge Racer"), but it is probably the one that’s going to keep you entertained the longest.

If you’re a fan of Fallout 3 and also a PlayStation 3 owner there really isn’t much reason to pass on Broken Steel.

The premise may seem downright ridiculous and this is reinforced by the witty, pun-filled dialogue bursting with enough memorable and laugh-out-loud quotes to inflame one's haemorrhoids. The actual cases themselves can, however, be quite sombre and very touching at times – sure, you will laugh, but you may also shed a tear.

Mario Kart 8 is the end result of years of refinement. It zeroes in on exactly what we want from Nintendo.

The sheer amount of destruction is satisfying and the sense of humor is refreshing, but the short length and lack of saves during lengthy missions are what makes this potentially great game merely a good one. Even so, it's still hard to resist the Destroy All Humans' charm.

It’s too much like its predecessor. For a lot of people this will be a great thing, whilst others may find the formula wearing a bit thin. It’s an enjoyable experience but may leave you wanting something more.

For a title that offers equal billing to both pirates and zombies, the latter get left backstage for a large portion of the game.

More than any of its clipping issues or framerate dips, it's Caballero's opening words that resonate throughout the entire experience, an emotionally raw dedication to his family that lingers in black and white, piercing each heartbreakingly symbolic interaction between Quico and Monster.

The sheer variety of playing styles and technical options at your disposal is staggering; this is easily the deepest and most demanding title currently on the 3DS.

The absurd number of things to do after the main quest has been completed almost makes the adventure feel like a side-mission to a much grander story that unfolds as you dig deeper into the goodies that lie buried after the first 8 badges.

A brilliant game. It combines the classic sci-fi cliché of giant robot battles with the obsessive tinkering of real world mechanics. Anyone who enjoys computers, cars, or other machinery will get a kick out of the customization aspect (from body parts to paint jobs) and mecha enthusiasts, will, well... love blowing the crap out of everything.

If you've already got the 04 version, then all you're really paying £40 for is the online mode, and whether that's worth it is debatable. If you're new to the series, then by all means spend the money on what is a superb rally game.

Some stealth games end up solely being about moving from one shadow to another, but Monaco has a good balance between fast paced action and careful planning. That’s what makes it successful in the end, despite its – at times – confusing and cluttered visuals.

If there has to be a game that epitomizes the phrase “substance over style,” Break’em All clinches it. The design of this game is based upon some of the most addicting arcade and console games ever conceived.

When it plays a game of football so streamlined, so natural - so real, it’s hard to not feel justified in handing over more hard earned money to a company who seem to be learning from past mistakes.

Lights off and headphones on is a must. Allow yourself to fall deep in Red Barrels’ asylum and the reward is a frightening descent into the bowels of man’s search for greatness. The sound design is exceptional – even more so when considering this is a lower budget production – and the weight of the world is tight.
