Streets of Rage is an excellent and well made game. Whether your a fan of the series or a newcomer, it is fun and addictive experience. The developers did a great job of making it feel like the old games but also make it have a fresh and updated feel to it. Right i'm off to beat some more people upside the head with a pipe.

With hilarious dialogue and world details, the wholesomeness of these hard-working monkeys, and a variety of fun mechanics and pleasant physics displayed in it, the sum of all these parts helps to build an absolutely delightful experience for us to enjoy. And as tense as the gameplay can be, we will enjoy as many cooperative building adventures as we can handle in a lighthearted space journey, full of Bonkies, bananas, and aliens.

A lot of co-op games these days are not 'truly' co-op but two solo players playing together, this is not one of those games. Even though it is short and not very difficult, Covert truly excels at being a co-op adventure like no other on the medium. It is a game where both players depend on each other heavily and things cannot be accomplished alone. It will only last you a few hours but they will be entertaining. I can see a lot of VR fans loving the game and what it achieves, we certainly did.

Renegade Kid’s throwback to yesteryear in both style and gameplay make for a rather difficult, but ultimately rewarding game that perfectly captures the tone of pulp sci-fi.

Due to the bleak landscapes, the depressing situations your characters find themselves in and the challenging tactical combat, this is a game for those who will find the challenge rewarding rather than those looking for lighter entertainment.

Get packed is fun, well designed and has something you do not see a lot of these days. It is full of co-op fun and playing with people sitting next to you is amazing. You will laugh, you will cry and you will certainly enjoy yourself. Right, I best get back to the packing.

Pumpkin Jack is a fun, quirky 3D platformer that will both entertain and challenge you over the course of its 6-8 hour campaign. Though its platforming and camera controls can sometimes be a tad clunky, the experience is engaging enough for that to not be a problem, and you'll be far more concerned about the monsters trying to take you down. If you liked MediEvil or similar games, you'll love Pumpkin Jack.

While sometimes skirting a bit close to the line between inspiration and clone, Rogue Heroes has a lot to love. If you have a few friends to take dungeon crawling with you, you will laugh together, you will loot together, and you will have to work as a team to succeed. My boys and I got a lot of enjoyment from playing Rogue Heroes, and I think most other players will do too.

A brilliant shoot 'em up that harks back to the good old days of video games but with a refreshing modern update. You can jump in for one run and leave five hours later because the game play is so enjoyable.

While it may not have a single mechanic that changes the way you feel about the game, such as Braid’s time manipulation or Fez’s 2D/3D dimensionality, it gets the basics of a logical puzzle platformer down perfectly, succeeding on many levels.

Arguably this may result in a more watered down experience than PC gamers are used to, but it rarely hinders the gamer in any way. Yes, It does not have the extreme finicky depth of Frozen Synapse, yet it does not really need it.

Like its predecessor, Grid 2 offers a pleasing mix of driving sim and arcade racer and is accessible to seasoned veterans and tarmac newbies alike. It’s an evolution which doesn’t take many risks, instead opting to refine and polish the original game to a glistening sheen, but doesn’t do it to the game’s detriment.

It is certainly not a complete success however. Even on the easier difficulty setting players will still be sitting through repeated animations, and the loss of huge swathes of time after each failure can drive one mad. Meanwhile the reliance on chance, while admittedly in fitting with the reality of such situations, feels cumbersome and can really ramp up frustration. In the end it all depends on how much suffering you are willing to devote to a game.

Football Drama is an easy game to turn on and get stuck right in. with the game being available on mobile, this makes it even easier to have a turn while on the go. The season can be over in a handful of hours but, there is always the option of having another go for a different story and ending. The game has great artistic style with its UI and in particular the cards that you can use. The audio is what you would expect from an indie studio, but with that little bit of something else. This game would be ideal for anyone who enjoys their football genre-based games, as it adds that extra element to the world’s favourite sport.

This is the best DBZ game that I’ve ever played and like the anime it’s based on, it comes with flaws of its own. I floated in the middle when scoring this one, but rounded up because when this game hits the right notes, it hits them perfectly.
