If the first Modern Warfare wasn’t your cup of tea, then it’s unlikely the numerous additions and small tweaks will do anything for you here. Yet for anyone else who’s a fan of console first person shooters with plenty of replay value, this is a game that’s definitely worth signing up for.

Plain and simple, The Godfather 2 is an action packed thrill ride. Even though it may not deliver on the strategy element’s pursuits, the action is constantly intense, and keeps you excited to play more up to until the credits begin to roll.

At the end of the day, Guitar Hero: Metallica is essentially what it sounds like: a Guitar Hero game for Metallica fans; by the fans, for the fans in the purest sense.

While I was hoping the 360 version would add something entirely new (not counting the Peg Party), I highly recommend Peggle. It’s a casual game that appeals to everyone. For only 800 Microsoft points ($10 USD), you will definitely get your money’s worth.

Despite the questionable change to the graphical presentation, The Lost and Damned is a very well developed piece of content for one of the best games of last year.

However, if you’re not a fan of video game storylines or don’t really care about video games as a medium, Prince of Persia is still a great game. There’s plenty of fun to be had with the platforming.

Despite the dull design and terrible frame rate, I found myself playing KFK for five hours straight. The entire game I personally had a feeling offelt “This isn’t very fun, I wish I wasn’t playing this” but continued to do so anyway.

Mirror’s Edge has an excellent but short singleplayer campaign with a few added whistles.

Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 includes many elements that can make real time strategy games successful on consoles.

If you enjoyed Modern Warfare or FPSs in general, this is one of the higher quality shooters you'll find this year. If you're not a fan of grit and prefer your war games more sanitized, such as in Halo, then you'd do well to steer clear.

Gears of War 2 manages to be everything that the sequel to an intense, violent shooter should be.

Vigilante 8: Arcade sets out to be an exercise in updated, nostalgic goodness, but ends up falling short.

Bethesda has done an excellent job at creating a living and wheezing post apocalypse world. Combining RPG elements and gory action orientated combat flawlessly.

At the end of the day, as I've said many times before, this is an amazing game.

In closing, Fable 2 seems to be a light hearted, witty, casual role-playing game offering you more of an experience than an actual challenge.

There isn’t much to complain about in Far Cry 2. As I’ve already raved about before, the visuals are gorgeous, the use of fire is amazing and the gunplay is viscerally satisfying.

Midnight Club: Los Angeles has the right concepts in place with plenty of realized potential, but much still untapped.

At the end of the day, Saints Row 2 manages to be a mostly satisfying sequel with a few key issues holding it from true greatness.

It’s scary at first, but once you get a bigger gun it becomes a Horror Action game, with no real threat present. That being said, Dead Space is an excellent game that’s worth checking out, even if you don’t like horror games.

Overall, Blitz: The League II suffers from terrible announcers, annoying soundtracks and a boring campaign mode.

If you expect to open up your mech (or in this case, War World) to see this decked-out, snazzy, cool game, you are going to be extremely disappointed.

Mega Man 9 is definitely a challenging game and designed for the hardcore gamer that remembers a simpler time consisting of two button controllers, cartridges and 8-bit graphics.

All in all, Silent Hill: Homecoming is a successful entry to the series. Even though it doesn’t do anything spectacularly new in terms of the franchise or the genre, it does do the old ways justice.

There are plenty of battles to fight through, collectibles to discover, and techniques to perfect in Hell’s Highway, and I fully recommend purchasing.

There isn’t much I can find fault with in this game. It’s certainly one of the best racing games out there and possibly the best in its little subgenre as well.

If you enjoyed the original, have younger children or just like light-hearted same console competition, you’ll definitely want to grab FF2 for 800 Microsoft points. Time to warm up those chompers and have some fun!

If you want to play an average Star Wars experience, The Force Unleashed is par for the course. Those of you looking to have an engaging video game experience, may want to invest time looking elsewhere, or rather, replay God of War, since this is practically the same game.

The game’s still plenty of fun, offers enough challenge without being unbearable, has a couple great additions and will still bring out the inner rocker within you.

For the little enjoyment being offered and problems that are present, a 800 Microsoft point purchase just cannot be justified. There are too many negatives and scarce positives to be found.

If you have not played Viva Pinata, then it's most unlikely this release will do anything to change your mind to the contrary. If you expressed an interest but did not make the plunge the first time around, I would highly recommend this as your first foray due to all the excellent additional features included.

The arcade style shooting mixed in with the Hollywood blockbuster epicness delivers one of the more satisfying action games in recent years. If you’re a skeptic you should at least give Mercenaries 2 a shot.

The Behemoth has made one of the best games on Xbox Live Arcade, and it's a 2D beat 'em up that feels fresh from an early '90s arcade.

Braid is a wonderful game. It costs a little more than your average XBLA title, true, and you’ll probably beat it in 4-5 hours or so, but those 4-5 hours will be extremely well-spent.

There's truthfully nothing wrong with this package. If you have any interest in dual stick shooters, Geometry Wars 2 is definitely the cream of the crop.

Unless you're a huge fan of on-rail space shooters, and also enjoy being a completionist then you'll be disappointed with the lack of content in Aces of the Galaxy.

GRID's delicate straddling of the line between arcade and simulation racing is one that works well for it, appealing to fans of either simulation or arcade racers, once you get used to its handling quirks.

Better games can be bought with 400 Microsoft Points so do yourself a favor and defend yourself, and your wallet, from these Warlords.

If you're a fan of dual-stick shooters, or want a game that accurately represents the genre, there’s no better choice than Assault Heroes 2.

In essence, if you absolutely loved the film to bits and absolutely must have an Iron Man game to go with it, then Sega have done as good a job as they can of producing a playable version of the movie.

All things told Condemned 2 is a good sequel that does manage to do the first game justice on most counts.

If you missed Bully the first time around, scholarship edition is a great game to pick up.

Despite a mediocre story and familiar gameplay aspects, Commanders: Attack of the Genos isn't afraid of showing a goofy side of an enjoyable experience. At eight hundred points, it's more than a welcome addition to the Xbox Live Arcade.

Lost Odyssey may not rewrite the rules of the genre, but it performs a wonderful job improvising with what’s on the table.

In closing, while Devil May Cry 4 seems to be a hard fit in the series due to Dante’s significantly reduced role, the gameplay is as tight, stylish and entertaining as it ever was.

So if you’re a skeptical Burnout fan, there’s nothing to fear. Burnout Paradise is another great edition in an already fantastic series.

Story line is nil. I found myself becoming “stuck” with the camera angles more than once. The last boss was too easy. But, with the amount of fun to be had, both solo and multi-player co-op and length of game, I cannot recommend this title enough. It is definitely worth the 800 Microsoft Points.

Despite my complaints, GripShift isn’t a bad game, it’s just flawed in all the wrong places and at the end of the day, it’s completely unremarkable.

Undertow stands tall above all other Xbox Live Arcade games as the best of the bunch and accomplishes this by being pure fun in a ten-dollar package.

At the end of the day (or night even), Rock Band is easily one of the best party games ever made and one of this generation’s best, most enjoyable experiences.

Assassin’s Creed is by no means a bad game; it’s fallen to the fate of many other games by having too much hype surrounding it. If you’re expecting a ground breaking Game of the Year quality game, you won’t find it. If you’re expecting to play an average action game, then you’ll find yourself very pleased with your purchase.

The game is merely another mediocre bag of wasted potential tossed out that simply begs you to lower your expectations right before diving in.

All in all, this is a nice addition to the XBLA collection. When you’re ready for some “down” time from the hectic fraggin’, Switchball is a good change of pace.

At the end of the day, Call of Duty 4 is a superb accomplishment that has already shown it has what it takes to at least get a Game of the Year nomination. The single player may be rather short for a Call of Duty game, but there’s plenty of reason to keep coming back over and over.

All things considered, Mutant Storm Empire is a pretty good game. The unique, creative and colorful level designs and variety impress. The combat is intense and satisfying for an arcade shooter but it’s all over in a flash

Although TimeShift brings a neat gimmick to the table, that's about all it brings.

All told, Guitar Hero 3 is another solid, worthy entry into an already highly-successful series. While not all of the changes and additions made benefit the game, the core gameplay is still there and that’s more than enough to make the game appeal to Guitar Hero veterans.

Clive Barker's Jericho is the type of game that would have made an impact a decade ago. Its onslaught of enemies is far more reminiscent of old-school shooters like Quake, and if that's your bag then you should be able to at least marginally enjoy what Jericho brings to the table.

Every Extend Extra Extreme shows that big things do indeed come in small packages. While its core gameplay may not appeal to everyone, this is definitely one of the best values you’ll find on the Xbox Live Arcade.

Those who have lost interest in the katamari series may feel disappointed as no advancements on the formula have been made since the inception of the series.

It’s odd that a game with so much new content could feel so familiar, but such is the case with Proving Ground. I think it’s time for Neversoft to go back to the drawing board and seriously attempt to innovate if they ever expect this Hawk to fly as high as it once did.

No matter how one looks at it, The Orange Box is an astonishing deal that should be considered a mandatory purchase for any real fan of the genre.

Avoid this at all costs. Simply put, it's just a hair shy of being completely broken. Yaris may be free but somehow, I still feel ripped off.

Tetris Splash doesn’t bring anything exciting or more enjoyable to the table of Tetris. Unless you’re feeling extremely nostalgic or wanting to add an additional 200 achievement points to your gamer score, I suggest you pass this one by.

For what its worth, PGR 4 is the best game in the long running Project Gotham Racing series but sadly, this title isn’t sparkling with innovation and occasionally feels like more of the same. On the other hand, the core gameplay is good enough here that it doesn’t need significant changes.

The game is definitely far superior to its predecessor and is just about on-par with the original, maybe even more so since it feels more complete.

Poor dialogue may occasionally shatter this otherwise remarkable backdrop, but the rest of the story is more than adequate enough to convey a story of love, struggle, life, and death; at times in captivating ways.

Skate’s intuitive, but incredibly deep control scheme and extremely realistic physics model feel wonderful in motion. If you’re looking for a realistic approximation of skateboarding, look no further. Skate will not disappoint.

NHL 2K8 reminds me of a hockey team that looks unbeatable on paper but fails to perform in a big game.

If you're short on cash and waiting for the big blockbuster games this Holiday Season, you may want to skip over this game. Stranglehold probably best serves as a rental unless you're really into action games.

The problem is, World War II games are a dime a dozen these days and aside from the increased freedom and highly entertaining multiplayer modes, there isn’t much to make this stand out in the crowded first person shooter genre. It’s certainly a good game, just not as good as it could’ve been.

All in all, Blue Dragon is the type of game that would have made much more of an impression about a decade ago. Unfortunately, a forgettable story, cast, score, and battle system make for something that feels more akin to the eager ambitions of novices as opposed to the calculated work of seasoned veterans.

In the end, Stuntman Ignition may be frustrating, difficult, and require a large amount of patience, but it’s undeniably fun.

It's a shame that for every step forward, Two Worlds takes about five steps back.
