In YIIK: A Postmodern RPG, you’ll be thrown into an uncanny world full of mysteries and relatable characters. Its inventive turn-based combat may become a bit repetitive with time, but it still delivers an experience like no other.

Ms. Splosion Man rightfully deserves to have another chance at success, and certainly deserves to not be so quickly forgotten about. Tight controls, bundles of character and great multiplayer mayhem is to be had throughout, and I can’t thank Twisted Pixel enough for having the gumption to release this upon us once more.

Sundered is a solid metroidvania with gorgeous visuals and a strong progression system. Unfortunately, the roguelike design and ongoing waves of enemies let it down somewhat.

Akihabara completely lacks any personality, and only should be bought if you’re a fan of everything Japanese or Tetris.

Catch ‘Em! Goldfish Scooping can be a laugh if played with friends, but is a bitter disappointment overall. The poor-quality single-player content, inconsistent hit detection and dull, repetitive gameplay makes the game a poor catch – and there are plenty of better party game fish in the eShop sea.

Gris is a beautiful puzzle-platformer about making it through the ordeals of hardship, and it’ll likely stay with you long after the credits have rolled.

Despite the many similarities to its predecessor, Kingdom: Two Crowns is a minimalistic town-management game that still holds many wonders. With the addition of couch co-op and many improvements, this can be seen as the definitive edition of the series.

Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland DX is a charming and enjoyable RPG title but the continuous pressure of time management will be off putting for many.

Rough around the edges, Madorica Real Estate does well in managing to still be unique enough to be memorable. It’s not puzzling perfection, but it’s certainly fun to work out.

Horizon Chase Turbo is an unexpected surprise. A quality arcade racer that builds upon the groundwork of the classic 80s racers and brings it up to date with dazzling visuals and engaging racing action.

Tetra’s Escape offers fun pick up and play puzzling. It’s not a mind-blowing experience, granted, but it certainly has a place in your eShop collection.

YouTubers Life: OMG Edition isn’t necessarily a bad game, but it’s an awful port for Nintendo’s finest. Considering mobile iterations also exist, it’s bizarre that touchscreen inputs are nowhere to be found. Whilst that certainly wouldn’t be the saving grace, it would certainly alleviate some of the many control issues found throughout. A unique take on the sim genre, one that’s unfortunately hampered by technical woes that almost make this unplayable. Almost.

GRIP: Combat Racing boasts exciting gameplay that is sadly held back by technical issues. It's worth a look into for fans of racers, but other folk may want to wait until a price drop.

Causing chaos in Roarr! Jurassic Edition is fun for a short while, but saving the world from squids as a sleep-deprived dino soon grows tiresome.

Coloring Book is one of those "as good as you make it" type experiences. You won't be playing it for ages, but it's a handy app to have as a time-killer stored away on your Switch.

RollerCoaster Tycoon Adventures has a long history and it's a shame this Switch version doesn't really hold a candle to the original - it's let down by long loading times, a clunky coaster creation system and a painfully slow progression. Fans of the series will get a little enjoyment but you'll be much better off sticking to the 90's originals.

Whilst BELOW is a perilous, tense, and dangerous descent into the unknown, Superbrothers is the perfect counterpart for relaxation and pondering on your handheld, or simply the perfect entry point into Capy's games if you don't have access to a Microsoft platform. Not only does it hold up, but it's the best version of this indie gem.

Bendy and the Ink Machine is a decent environmental puzzle title. Sadly, though, it just doesn't work as a survival horror. There are more effective examples already available on the Switch, and you'd do well to check those out first.

Guacamelee! 2 is a brilliant continuation of Juan's story. It's largely more of the same, but when the gameplay and visual design is this good, there's little need to change it. Yet another fine example of the Metroidvania genre.

The VideoKid, though bearing noticeable similarities to popular mobile titles and with its fair share of faults and issues, is an affordable and entertaining drop-in indie title that you can pick up and play anytime. Challenging, yet charming, and with plenty of nods to 80s pop culture, this is a game that you will be retrying for hours in the hope of reaching your precious Jessica.

Aaero: Complete Edition is a must-have for fans of the rhythm genre or fans of great games, actually. Sure, the aggressive soundtrack (Monstercat fans take note) may not be to everyone’s taste, but this trippy and downright visually stunning experience that comes packed with all of the previously released DLC is a perfect fit for Switch.

Storm Boy: The Game is an interesting take on interactive storytelling, and young children or fans of the book may find enjoyment here, but its short length and lack of any real gameplay make it one worth passing on for the average Switch Player.
