Feature-light and shady DLC practices aside, Blazblue Cross Tag Battle isn't a particularly bad game, but its lack of content will struggle to keep the attention of fans of the represented series, who may be expecting more.

Draw a Stickman: Epic 2 is a charming little papercraft puzzler that offers players the unique ability to personalise their story creatively, even if the campaign is quite brief and some problems leave you scratching your head for too long.

Memorrha is a solid first person puzzler with interesting puzzles that make you feel smart. It has a few performance issues here and there, but if you can forgive them, you’ll love the brain-teasers within.

Overall, Nadir: A Grimdark Deck Builder is a fun title that offers a different spin on the deck-building rogue-like genre. Sadly though, there are so many other alternatives that offer much more in-depth and fleshed-out gameplay that it’s hard to recommend this one.

Railway Empire tells a great tale of the Westward Expansion of the US’s railway system. You have to wrestle with some poorly explained and non-intuitive controls in order to get the most out of it, though – but once it’s up and running, this is one of the best train set video games you can get your hands on.

Sky Force Reloaded offers your standard arcade shooting fair, but it doesn't do a lot that your old NES was't capable of. That's not a bad thing if vertical SHMUPS are your thing, of course.

DISTRAINT: Deluxe Edition offers great story and perfectly crafted ambiance, regardless of it’s short run-time. Although it drags in the middle with questionable mechanics it is still a unique take on the point-and-click adventure genre.

Millie is a charming puzzle game which can hold your attention for hours, not least because some of its levels will take you that long to solve. With bright, colourful visuals, enchanting background music and some complex mechanics for an indie puzzler, Millie is well worth its £4.49 eShop price - though it does have faults in its controls and its progression requirements.

State of Anarchy‘s visuals and sound are its highlights, though the gameplay doesn’t set the world on fire. It’s one for the genre enthusiasts.

Wondershot is a fun game to play with friends and family, but that fun will expire after an hour or so of playing. It’s a shame that for a multiplayer game, the most fun can be had from the game’s single-player offerings.

Almost There: The Platformer is bare-bones platforming, with simplistic visuals and sound, but the platforming shines. If you fancy a challenge and have a few quid spare, it’s worth a spin. Be there and be square.

Roguebook is an interesting roguelike deck-building game with a difficulty curve that could either frustrate or excite you. If you like a challenge, and enjoy card battles, consider picking this one up.

Rally Racers seeks to mix up the kart racing formula and actually presents some fun ideas but core gameplay is lacking just enough that the game doesn't quite fulfill its potential.

Realpolitiks is a difficult strategy to get your head around. With so many manageable things to be watched at once, it it likely to alienate new starters.

Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires adds a satisfying strategic element to the Musou formula, helping to make each strike on the battlefield more meaningful. However, poor performance and a hefty price tag make it difficult to recommend on Switch hardware.

Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast has the makings of a great Star Wars game inside it, but an incredibly frustrating front-end makes getting to the enjoyable meat a chore and will likely turn off most modern players.

This is the Police 2 tries to take every single element from the first game and turn them into something more complex and compelling. While its distinct art style brilliantly portraits a narrative about crime and corruption, the new addictions result in a convoluted game, more frustrating than its predecessor.

Monster Jam Steel Titans is a competent racing title with some fun stunt sections, although it’s hampered by an extremely touchy physics system, and barren open world areas. Still, I felt like a kid playing with toys, which was enjoyable.

The Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection is a no-holds barred, hack and slash experience that offers fun and challenge in equal measure. It isn’t perfect, but it really doesn’t need to be. Just enjoy it for what it is, as it was intended.

Worm Jazz doesn’t aim for the top of the food chain, but it’s well-designed for its primary task, and it layers some interesting notes together, with an occasional groovy flourish to tickle your grey matter.

Resident Evil 6 on Switch offers staggering value and bombastic action, but its muddled tone and lack of survival horror may leave long-term fans torn.

Robots under attack! doesn’t overstay its welcome, nor does it leave you wanting more. It’s a solid effort that will benefit from its cheap pricing and should hopefully be the springboard for future releases by Dmytro Derybas.

Youtubers Life 2 perfectly encapsulates the grind of growing a channel on Youtube without the stress that comes with it in real life. Side activities and subscriber growth keep you coming back, but the game feels like more effort than it should at times.

Crimsonland offers some good twin-stick shooter fun that you'll really enjoy blasting your way through. It's great and addictive when trying to polish off the levels, but it is a little simplistic - that's ultimately what separates it from the likes of Doom.

Turnip Boy is an attractive, accessible Link to the Past-like with some nice touches and an original premise, but its execution provides nothing new and it’s over very quickly. It’s Great for a short burst of handheld action, though.

Converting the classic The House of the Dead experience from the arcades has resulted in a short game with not-so-ideal controls. However, the high replay value may be more than enough to satisfy starving fans of the rail shooter genre.

With its unique premise and enjoyable art style, Deiland: Pocket Planet Edition could have the potential to be your next fave farm sim. Unfortunately, its clunky structure transforms part of the experience into an aimless chore.

Let's Sing 2018 is a fun karaoke experience and has a decent range of songs to keep most palettes engaged. Given that the game is costly, I do hope that there will be a price cut on the DLC extra songs, though.
