I don't know if Keanu Reeves is a gamer, but if he is, he would probably say, "Whoa, these are some most excellent graphics...dude!"

If you enjoyed "SSX Tricky," you will love SSX 3--it's as simple as that. Even if you hated "Tricky," you still might dig this sequel.

If EA Sports increased shot making difficulty and paid a little more attention to golf physics detail, Tiger Woods 2003 would probably be the first game I ever gave close to a perfect score.

I love both games, with ESPN being a better gameplay game and Madden holding the edge with game modes and options. But, graphically, the two are similar and so is the replay value.

Even in a year when EA's FIFA series was pretty solid, Winning Eleven again reigns king because of its excellent game engine and overall depth.

I'm not saying Street is more or less realistic than "Live," but Street is better at being an arcade b-ball title than "Live" or "2k3" at being a sim.

The additions of the VIP, online seasons and tournaments, and weekly schedules make this game hard to pass up.

The secondary play continues to be a sore point, and the CPU still can't run the ball effectively with the default AI settings. On the positive side, the human-controlled running game is as good if not better than "NFL2K1" on the Dreamcast.

Even though the other two versions of this series are more fun, the incredible customization depth, tons of unlockables, and the addition of online multiplayer make up for the V3's flaws and make it the best of the three games in the series.

At first, I was so taken in by the new physics, sound, and overall look that some of those faults didn't bother me...With some more work, especially on the AI and damage modeling, we could have a real winner here, but as it stands, a great driving model wrapped in a far less than satisfactory overall experience just doesn't quite make the grade.

If it had a couple more adjustments for force feedback and pedals, and had the ability so save unfinished races, it would almost be as perfect as a racing game is capable of being today.

Not only do you have to be able to play street ball, but you also have to be able to break some ankles and score with style, not just a wussy 15-foot jump shot, which likely would get rejected/goaltended in the game.

A great portrayal of professional basketball. While its counterpart, "NBA Live," may have more razzle and dazzle, ESPN has the fundamentals covered. If you know the difference between a "2" and a "5" when it comes to basketball positions, ESPN is your choice.

The most realistic playing hockey title to date and a fun one at that.

It may not be revolutionary, but it has enough going for it to suck in most gamers, regardless of their skill level or feelings toward golf. Only haughty golf purists or those truly burnt out on the Tiger Woods franchise should consider getting their golfing fix elsewhere.

Some of the major AI problems (specifically the lack of fast breaks and effective CPU team defense) mentioned above definitely took away from my enjoyment of the game.

A damage model makes the game more intriguing, although it is available in only one mode. The graphics suffer from pop-up and collision detection miscues, but overall the game looks good.

Some of the elements need to be fine tuned in next year's version, such as presentation and audio. With these problems asides, the depth of the Legacy mode, increased Xbox Live features, and better gameplay make this a good buy at $20.

The 3D accelerated graphics are a big boost in my eyes and the addition of the APCD is going to give this sim the legs it's been lacking in recent years.

If the game had more depth or difficulty it would perhaps be the top arcade racer on the PS2--instead it's just a very good, though not great, game.

CM3 has only a fraction of the features of "CM2" and fails to add significant upgrades. While the sound, driving, and stages are excellent, the game ultimately comes up short.

College Hoops is the second best sports game I played in 2004, with Madden taking the top prize.

Despite some of the AI problems NASCAR Thunder 2002 still provides a good race. The huge field certainly enhances the gameplay and makes passing a key aspect of the game.

While the graphics aren't as good as I expected from this PS2 title, they are still a huge jump up for PlayStation owners. The reported slowdown hardly detracts from enjoying the game.

While there are some audio and AI issues, overall the game has progressed since last year. The grudge and alliance system adds a whole new element to gameplay.

I had a lot more fun with the PSX version of Fifa 2001. Sure, it's also an arcade experience, but the passes don't move as fast, the tackles aren't as vicious and there isn't the useless shoot bar. Fifa 2001 PC is a huge disappointment and it's time the Fifa series got a major overhaul.

Flaws in the graphics and lack of improvement in 24/7 mode are outweighed by the positives of improvements in gameplay, the Association, and online.

This new edition could have been so much more (and some of its features should have been in the original).
