-
The purists choice for outstanding baseball action...a fun, authentic, and accurate baseball sim.
-
At the plate, the cursor-assisted hitting is solid, but base-running can be a button-pressing adventure with multiple runners on the bags.
-
While the different batting camera angles are missing, ASB 2003 is outstanding.
-
If you want to play franchise you have to shell out the cash for a 3rd party card or wait for the larger card from Nintendo. We can't really blame Acclaim for the memory card woes, but its dissapointing that the hardware is holding back some of the bigger portions of the game.
-
Questionable baserunning AI, lack of tuning options, and some fielding issues.
-
Though you see the initial action (as in the pitcher delivering the ball and the batter swinging) in real time, the replays dont show the ball actually hitting the bat, nor the outfielder, or infielder, actually gloving the ball. It all just disappears as it gets close to the contact point.
