Shadow Warrior 2 is a magic slaughterhouse that every fan of trash and gore will love unconditionally. The crazy number of weapons and power-up guarantees an unlimited number of approaches to the battle. Alone or with a friend the fun is assured, pick up your katana and a big backpack for all the others death instruments, and go to teach who is the Wang to all the deamons on your way.

Skylanders Imaginators manages to find a way to offer something new in the gameplay. The crystals, however, represent another constraint to the immoderate purchase and the Sensei have no unique selling proposition. Imaginators, however, has the great honor to have revived Crash Bandicoot, proposing it in a unique and pleasant way.

od of Word starts from interesting ideas but developers don't accomplish to solidify it in a proper way. Game mechanics are not as functional as they should be and the graphics are not really polished. The game doesn't seem like worth buying for several problems by the way the experiment of mixing two genres was interesting.

Mafia III is a game with two souls: It tells an impressive story about revenge and honor in an accurate historical context, but it suffers from many technical flaws.

Rogue Wizards has a good cartoon style with some intuitive gameplay choice. Unfortunately the character growth and the fight progression are too simple and decrease the quality of the game.

After a year after its original release, Rise of the Tomb Raider finally lands on the PlayStation 4, coming into the houses of all fans of the most iconic archaeologist of the videogame. Crystal Dynamics has managed to improve what already was good in the previous installment, raising a series that has made the history of the medium.

A classic survival horror with clear pros and cons. The game delivers good levels of tension, different types of enemies, good visuals and sounds. Still, some gameplay choices do not feel so right, while the PC version shows some technical flaws. All in all, a pretty decent product first survival game.

The console version of Darkest Dungeon retains all of the good that we experienced on PC months ago, while adapting the controls for the better without a mouse: the overall experience is probably still more intuitive on PC, but the bonus of cross buy and cross save make the Sony versions hard to not recommend.

The console version of XCOM 2 is not as good as the PC one, especially if you analyze graphics, framerate, loading times and the absence of mods. Still, this is one hell of a strategical ride that should not be missed by anyone who is starving for a game like this on consoles.

Gears of War 4 lives up to the expectations and even improves an almost perfect formula. The campaign introduces a new generation of heroes and enacts the passage from the past to the future, while the classic multiplayer modes and the most competitive ones are very entertaining and might keep players busy for an unquantifiable amount of time.

The Voice of Freedom tells the story of Benjamin Walker right before his arrival in Philadelphia. It lasts two hours and has a good pace, but it maintains quite the same frame rate problems seen in Homefront: The Revolution.

Apart form the fact that it is diverging more and more from its original RPG roots, the Paper Mario saga continues to evolve, and Color Splash is a good example of how to successfully mix different genres to create a cohesive and fun gaming experience, albeit a little too much on the easy side.

Mario Party Star Rush may be a turning point for the franchise, fastening the game mechanics and letting players enjoy its minigames even in short bursts. Just don't think you can play it alone: its single player is still relatively disappointing, but all the rest is well done.

Dragon Quest Builders is a natural Minecraft evolution, but in its huge world became quickly redundant and repetitive. The RPG component is enjoyable, but quite limited.

Episode 5 is a breath of fresh air for Hitman, after the not-so-brilliant missions in Marrakesh and Bangkok. This chapter is harder and you need to be smart in order to take down more targets than ever. Still, we enjoy 47 more when he has to infiltrate some civilian mansion and not a militarised orchard.

The Huntsman: Winter Curse is a pretty accessible RPG. The graphic is cool and if you never played an RPG before you can appreciate it. Otherwise if you are a hard core role player gamer you will find the mechanics of the game too easy and the story already seen in a lot of similar productions.

All the settings are beautifully reproduced, but this is not enough, only a new mode is added, and the design of the maps is too linear. By the way, you can fight with Chewie and for most of you this is enough to buy the game.

Even being the best title inspired by the Sonic Boom cartoon (Ryse of Liric and Shattered Crystal were both a mess), Sonic Boom Fire and Ice fails to impress long time fans of the blue Sega mascot, due to a bland level design, a childish difficulty level and the unimaginative repetition of the same puzzles and monster types.

A disorienting game which delivers a twisted story and a wonderful soundtrack. The gameplay, though, puts the player in a passive role, and the PC version shows some technical flaws. A conceptual project that will be judged as brilliant by some players - but also boring by many others.
