NiOh: Complete Edition is a lazy port of the original game: no support for mouse and keyboard, no settings inside the game (you have to use the launcher). Nonetheless is an edition that offers a lot of contents and all the three DLCs. It is a must buy for all the soulslike lovers.

Even though this is the worst version of Doom available up to now, it's still a remarkable achievement for Nintendo's hybrid console and a good version of one of the best shooters of 2016.

Need for Speed: Payback has a lot of competitions to complete and has everything you can expect from a game in the series. It is also heavily focused on grinding, because it's the only way to avoid the infamous microtransactions.

Etrian Odyssey V is almost identical to its predecessors, it's completely lacking of a narrative and it's not that pretty to look at. Still, what we have here is a rock solid RPG akin to the ones back in the Dungeons&Dragons days, that will keep you busy for at least fifty to sixty hours.

Rugby 18 is a game with lots of issues: a bad AI, crappy dynamics based on button mashing, a broken commentary system, insufficient animation and so on. In a nutshell: this is not going to be your next rugby game.

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds is a very good DLC that tells a new story and broades the scope of the main one. With many missions to accomplish and a brand new location in the frozen lands of the Great North, it is a must buy extra content.

ECHO is a good videogame debut: it's a fantascientific monologue about solitude represented like a theatre play. Its "scene" is highly detailed, but the game is not very technically optimized. The gameplay is deeply based on stealth, but sometimes it lacks of classical mechanics of the genre. Its minimal cast provides a different vision of the science-fiction future, and it's recommended mainly to those who like such an intimistic vision. Others may consider to ponder about.

COD WWII is a great chapter for the brand: solid gameplay and intense, dramatic single player campaign. War Mode is a great add and, in general, the game is well developed.

Oure fails to follow the steps of games like Journey and Abzû. The story and the game become generic very early and there are too many problems with the camera. Also, apart from the the titan fights, it is very boring for most of the 3-4 hours needed to complete it.

Total War: Warhammer II - Mortal Empires is the biggest Total War ever made and, first of all, is totally free.

Home Sweet Home is a good survival horror game that mixes hide & seek and stealth gameplay with thai folklore. Too bad for the cut ending that forces players to wait for the next game.

In The Pact, it's time to learn something more about the good and the bad guys we are going to deal with for the rest of the series, but the episode feels very slow-paced and forgets about half of the gameplay mechanics we saw in Episode 1.

Assassin's Creed Origins is a beautiful open world action-adventure game, a real reborn for the Ubisoft saga made possible by a fresh new combat and quest system. The story is passionate and the character of Aya is very cool. Perhaps the game is not perfect and had some trouble of game design, but we can surely say that is very good and a perfect way to follow for the next chapter.

A Hat in Time was presented to me by the developers as a "GameCube love-letter, cute-as-heck 3D platformer". Well, it is indeed a very nice 3D platform with a nice level design and some good platforming phases inspired by Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine, mostly. I enjoyed playing it very much.

Nights of Azure 2 has a fun and simple gameplay and interesting mechanics, but that get penalized by the game design itself and the repetitiveness of the title. If you enjoyed the previous game, you'll probably have fun with this one as well.

Gran Turismo Sport aims to become the leader of the racing e-sports games. Without a classic career mode and with a calendar of online competitions that will offer a lot of races throughout the next months, this chapter may disappoint the fans of the series. Also, the starting contents are poor and are comparable to the GT Prologue titles.

"The Enigma" is a strong episode 1 for this new series, in which Telltale tried to add something new to its formula, with different kinds of QTEs and interesting bounds between the main characters. Now, we just need to see how much of this will actually make the difference in the next episodes.

With Elex Piranha Bytes bites off more than it can chew, unfortunately: the game is huge, and we're sure a great effort went into the storytelling and world building, but the combat system is just too clunky and the difficulty curve is off, too much to recommend it.
