Marvel's Midnight Suns is a successful experiment: mixing up both Marvel's worlds and a soul that comes directly from X-COM, the game manages to offer a layered and smart gameplay that, even if we can't say that everything is always at the right place and at the right pace, works and entertains amazingly.

It's a pity that Square Enix and Forever Entertainment had both settled for a (too) faithful remake of a game that was fascinating and difficult but also unbalanced and often unfair. Little things like new menus, new tutorials and a slew of QOL options could have made this a much better game overall. The way it is now, it's only recommended to hardcore long-time fans.

Just Dance 2023 is a two-faced production: on one hand, it's hard to not appreciate what's becoming a new beginning for the series. On the other, removing so many features that were in the previous chapters will certainly disappoint some fans.

Despite having to adapt to Switch, as it comes from VR devices, Aftermath Collection is a short but interesting experience and we wish that the developers may have the chance to work further on this idea in a new episode, in the coming future.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me is the season finale that tries to make forget the ups and down of the series. This time around pays homage to the great slasher movies of early eighties, but the story is too weak and the gameplay limitations hold back the developer's ambitions.

Scarlett and Violett, in all their hicupps and issues, try to do something new for the franchise. We can't definitely say that they are good at everything they do (not at all) and they still run pretty bad on Nintendo Switch, but some of their ideas are way more entertaining than what we saw in Sword and Shield. And, maybe, in Sun and Moon, too.

Goat Simulator 3 makes no prisoners and comes out as a fun and non-stop parody of modern open world games. Some of its ideas are way better than others and it lacks that sense of surprise that we got with the first game, but it delivers on its mission to make you laugh again and again.

One of the two kings is back (the other one being Final Fantasy Tactics), and it is in a wonderful shape even eleven years after its last appearance. We're not 100% sure this is the best version of this classic, but it's a version no strategy fan should miss nonetheless.

Football Manager 2023 is a solid iteration of one of the most beloved sim franchises on the market. It's addictive as usual, it adds some welcomed new features and an extra layer of strategy and official licenses. Now all that remains is to fix the abnormal injury rate and we're done.
