Sakura Wars So Long My Love is an interesting Visual Novel fused with strategic Jrpg elements. The cast is well characterized with so many different girls to interact with. Battles are always challenging but with a good Jrpg degree you can overcome any hardships. The bad thing is that the game lasts just 15 hours and the control system has not been rebuilt for the Wii version.

Samurai Shodown Sen is the worst beat'em up seen in the Xbox 360 library and, probably, one of the worst games of this year.

ZootFly had good chances with Prison Break: great characters, a fascinating setting and a good plot. It's all still intact, but sadly the gameplay is completely pointless. Clumsy stealth sequences aside, what's left is some dumb brawling and unrewarding fitness. Better save the money and go back to enjoy Scofield & co. adventures where they belong, on your DVD player.

Dead or Alive Paradise is basically Extreme 2 ported to Xbox 360 without any improvements, and some features entirely cut off, like the scooter mini-game. The activities are few, poor in gameplay and boring after a (little) while. Interesting (for some) could be the collection of erotic videos and bikinis, but the user's entertainment will anyway collapse way too early. Only for the greatest fans of the franchise.

Mount & Blade: Warband blends together a solid single player campaign with some roleplay elements and huge multiplayer battles. Nonetheless, it would be much better suited as an expansion pack of the original game instead of a stand alone title. Some problems with the map balance in the capture the flag mode and some repetitive dialogue and quests don't let it achieve excellence.

There's not much to say: one of the worst titles in the already-not-so-good PSP JRPG lineup. Annoying combat, a going-nowhere story and flat characters is enough to stay away from Mimana Iyar Chronicles.

The most complete, durable and rewarding creative tool that can be found, especially on a portable system. Only some A.I. limitations keep it from excellency, and the sense that this is more a creation tool than a real game.

Just Cause 2 is an excellent game with some weaknesses that lower the overall quality of the game. But if you love extreme gameplay, you should to give a chance to this action and discover how beautiful Panau can be.

Sharp sword fighting and a believable new universe unite in this amazing game. There's a little bit too much backtracking and enemies look sometimes like clones, but if you love your Wii, you can't miss this one.

Monumental Games lacks the courage to take the series one step forward; despite the arcade turn not being a bad thing per se, the simulation doesn't convince on many aspects, starting from the very bad physics. A true shame, that makes us hope in the next SBK installment.

Command and Conquer 4 brings some major twists in the gameplay; a brave and admirable choice, sadly not supported with adequate testing and know-how. The battles feel too fast-paced, amassing big armies always wins over strategy and the overall magic of the saga feels lost. The big potential in what could’ve been a true tide-turner for the brand is thus gone, and this feels just as a mediocre RTS, unable to stand out on its own qualities.

An incredible FPS experience, mixed with survival horror elements. Great graphics and a good plot (by the Russian author Dimitry Glukovsky) make this the shooter to have these days; don't miss it!

The intense satisfaction bestowed by the credits rolling after the last struggling sequence testifies the nature of God of War III: a masterpiece, a glorious testament from one of the most iconic characters of our media. Unforgettable gameplay sequences, over the top graphics and an almost flawless gameplay make it a title to have, at all costs.

Awakening is the biggest DLC Dragon Age Origins has ever seen. New lands, new weapons and new evils are the reasons to buy it for who loved the game, but same old graphics, the price and the classic gameplay won't make it more appealing for everyone else.

Resonance of Fate is a good role playing game, probably the best creation from tri-Ace studio so far. A deep combat system allows hardcore players to find what they need, although poor storytelling and a not impressive graphics are two cons to deal with.

Pokemon Heartgold (and obviously Soulsilver) is simply the best game in the Pokemon franchise and on the Nintendo Ds. The new features (in particular the Pokewalker) and the fascinating region of Johto overcomes the issues of an old gameplay and incongruous plot.

One of the worst titles we've seen in the glorious life cycle of our beloved Nintendo DS. An example of how a strategy game shouldn't be, slow, poor and with a boring storyline.

If you expected a traditional JRPG, Final Fantasy XIII will be very disappointing for you. But that's not what Square Enix wanted it to be: this thirteenth chapter is a completely new point of view for the saga, which was in terrible need of a new direction. The plot is intense and built on an enjoyable smaller scope, the battle system is deep and satisfying, and technically (albeit a couple of unexpected flaws) the game delivers. So that's it, a NEW Final Fantasy: if that's what you were waiting for, big time.

A complete lack of innovation and old graphics make this game suitable just for who is looking for an atipic and subtly weird game. It's full of subquests and funny things to do, but gameplay sadly feels completely unpolished.

Calling is an interesting adventure in J-Horror style. There's atmosphere and some nice ideas, although the gameplay is sometimes missing something, and not every situation in the game feels impressive. Worth at least a try, if you're a big horror fan, but don't expect much.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 meets its expectations, providing another High profile game for this exciting 2010. Though short, the campaign is spectacular and one of the best multiplayer experiences makes the title essential for all the fans of the genre. On the other hand, EA's shooter doesn't achieve perfection for the lack of any co-op mode, some small technical issues, but especially for the partial loss of the first Bad Company's originality.

Charming, and magic in some way. Sadly the core hasn't changed in the last seventeen years, except for the graphics, and this can be a pain for all the new-generation players. The old aficionados will still enjoy it, despite the wiping of a higher difficulty level.
