Super Meat Boy Forever is not a bad game but it feels like a regression from the original, which was just as tough but offered more options for players willing to try and get past the many obstacles the game threw at them. Fans of the concept will appreciate the unyielding difficulty and the lack of ways to tweak it. But given the changes to the mechanics, it would be nice to see Team Meat make their new title easier to appreciate with less frustration.

Monster Jam Steel Titans 2 is fun, at least for a couple of hours. After that, you will not be inclined to run the game again, because you will already have figured out everything it has to offer. It feels like even the developers designed the game as a temporary distraction, aware that the magic quickly fades out. It is only a small improvement compared to the first Monster Jam Steel Titans and even with a more modest price tag and online multiplayer, it is hard to recommend for someone. Monster Jam Steel Titans 2 is way too arcade for the fans of the sport and offers very little to anyone else.

Speed Kills feels like an overall smaller-scope game than its target audience would have liked. It's limiting in many ways, and the actual racing mechanics aren't solid enough to make it an immersive experience.

There are a ton of small annoyances that collectively detracted from my overall experience with Worlds of Magic, mainly because the game was still unfinished. Glitching tooltips and crashes (which happened less often since one of the updates), together with the obfuscated nature of how things work, made the game unsatisfying.

Taken individually there are some aspects to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League that are enjoyable. The problem is that cloning the same few basic gameplay mechanics seen in most live service games creates a negative overall experience. As a result, even if playing alongside your friends as a full party, you will feel like participating in a chores marathon. The monotonous endgame can be fixed by adding new content, but seeing the already existing one it is hard to believe that we can expect a major improvement. It is a shame that such a fresh and unexpected take on the superhero universe is wasted on a live service model that fails to fix the mistakes of the genre.

Aaru's Awakening has a serious difficulty curve, but when you combine the twitch-based controls, the confusing art style or the camera zoom, you end up with an experience that, once completed, doesn't offer a feeling of joy or accomplishment. Just like Ancestors, AWAY: The Survival Series is based on an interesting idea, but the end result is far from being entertaining or even educational. Instead of being a nature documentary it is a rudimentary combination of platformers with a bad combat system and even worse stealth mechanic. Perhaps the greatest drama here is that AWAY: The Survival Series fails both as a game and as an interactive documentary. The numerous bugs still present in the game ruin even the last ounces of potential, turning it into something you better stay away from.

Paleo Pines is another cautionary tale about wasted potential: such an enticing premise based on cute dinosaurs would have deserved much better treatment. The junior players might enjoy the game for a short while, but the repetitiveness and lack of originality will bore them quite soon as well. For those looking for a relaxing farming themed game there are plenty of alternatives out there, that do a much better job of entertaining, with a price point similar to Paleo Pines.

I like Diesel Punk to some degree and I had some expectations from The Last Shot, at least to be refreshingly different and maybe memorable. Instead, I got a game that is neither fun, nor original. Sure, the visual style stands out at first, but it is not enough to keep you invested in a bad game. The Lats Shot feels like the result of childish enthusiasm, a game made by a kid who does not really understand game design and just threw together his favorite moments from his favorite games without considering whether they work together or not.

Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles is a nostalgic throwback that fails to transcend its origins. For those who grew up playing the original, it offers a bittersweet reminder of the early 2000s, warts and all. Yet, as a remaster, it falls short of expectations, offering little more than a cosmetic update to a flawed but beloved classic. For fans of Star Wars and retro gaming, it may be worth a visit, but newcomers and casual players are unlikely to find much to enjoy in this uneven return to a galaxy far, far away.

Overall Weedcraft Inc. stands out like a lonely bong forgotten on the shelf of a tobacco store. The interesting premise does not translate into an interesting gameplay, the general theme of the game being repetitiveness from gameplay structure to soundtrack. The control scheme is simply horrible and the main reason most players will get tired of this game, even before having the chance to get fed up with the mediocre story and monotonous gameplay. Although developed for PC originally, Weedcraft Inc. feels more like a mobile game, and not one of high quality.

Batman: Arkham Knight is a decent entry in the series that, while innovative in some areas, is weighed down by the cumbersome Batmobile. There is no point in comparing Sacred 3 to either of the two previous games in the series, as it unfortunately shares nothing with them. The game does not do much better even as a standalone title, feeling like a rushed project that has more in common with tablet RPGs than with PC ones. It quickly becomes a tedious ordeal, where gameplay is segmented and extremely linear, mechanics feel repetitive, and you end up clearing the same room over and over again, with little variance.

The problem is that by the time you get anywhere near something that resembles a scratch for your itch, the entire area of your body that prompted the search for it is already decaying, and just like an Alzheimer's patient without a GPS bracelet, you'll find yourself lost in the woods, confused and wondering what exactly it was that you were doing there in the first place, apart from chasing those kids off your lawn, of course.

Remothered: Broken Porcelain should have not been released in its current state, since any resemblance with a finished game is pure coincidence. You can barely finish it, and only if you have iron patience to try until you get lucky with some of the bugs that can be game-breaking. It is a shame because the atmosphere of the game is so on spot, feeling creepy and scary, constantly wondering what horror awaits you after the corner. Even though it would still be very short, if the technical aspects would have been fixed, the artistic part and atmosphere would have compensated for the length by offering an intense and memorable experience. Unfortunately in its actual form, even the most basic gameplay mechanics from Remothered: Broken Porcelain are broken, and as such, no one should waste time with it.

Dungeon Stars is like that movie title that gets 30% approval from the critics and over 70% approval from the audience, mainly because it has no deeprooted substance to it, but it sure is fun. Overall, the game is well suited for an era where people don't always have time to spare for long story arcs and missions that need hours to finish, instead focusing on dungeon runs which they can be done within a few minutes. However, why a game with such a simplistic and automatic playstyle is available on any platform that isn't portable is way beyond comprehension.

The remaster of Mafia II remains a great opportunity totally missed by the publisher to turn the bad memories, softened anyway by nostalgia, into a new worthwhile adventure. Instead, we received a console port put together haphazardly and without any care or consideration. The Definitive Edition of Mafia II dooms the game to go down in history as an experience that went from bad to worse.

As I mentioned I have struggled with this game more than usual. I wanted to make sure that it is not an art installation that requires patience and examination from different angles to reveal itself. Ultimately, I had to admit that Shines Over: The Damned is just an uninspiring experience completely failing to immerse the player. It can hardly be called a game since it does not have a story or coherent gameplay elements, and the mysterious atmosphere crumbles without any anchor points. If at least it would have been so outlandish that it became interesting, but alas. As it stands Shines Over: The Damned is a 30-minute complete waste of your time.

Animal Hospital as a mobile game is mediocre, as a console game is an insult. Why? Because beyond the bare minimum it does not address in any way the transition from a freemium game to a premium one. It asks a console game price for a free mobile game. Sure, the microtransactions have been removed, but no value has been added. While it can be very short fun for kids to kill the time, there are much better games out there focusing on taking care of animals and building a virtual career. Stay away from this one!

Stray Souls is a great example of how hard it is to create a horror-driven experience that manages to marry an interesting narrative with some solid mechanics. The story setup is somewhat intriguing but almost every beat after that is something gamers have already seen better executed in other places. Worse, Daniel and the sister aren’t believable as individuals. And players can’t ignore the story to focus on the gameplay. The puzzles do not impress and there’s no reason to like the combat or exploration aspects. Stray Souls will make for an interesting Halloween game for anyone who has already played the hits and wants more of the genre. But the title simply doesn’t offer enough to keep players engaged.

It’s hard to judge NHRA Speed for All based purely on the gameplay experience, pretty much because this would make it one of the most disappointing releases of the year. So while the gameplay leaves a lot to be desired, let’s applaud the well-built career, which aside from the lack of an option to skip the dialogues, actually comes with lots of tutorials to introduce beginners into the world of NHRA. But at the end of the day, NHRA Speed for All feels like a half-baked game that’s still in development, and which is currently out for beta testers only. Well, it’s not, and if you want the PS5 version, you need to pay $79.99 for the Ultimate Edition.

I’m a big fan of the Tolkien universe, and I really wished Gollum, a game that no one wanted and asked for, would at least meet my already low expectations. I sincerely hoped to find a decent game hidden underneath all the technical issues. I also hoped that fixing the crashes and some of its other problems would eventually lead to an enjoyable experience. Alas, this game does not seem to be redeemable. Even if the development team manages to fix the plethora of crashes and errors, the game itself is faulty at its core. There is no trace of an enjoyable experience, and Gollum is doomed to remain in the game’s industry bin.

Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition for PlayStation 4 is not just a technical mess, it is an expensive technical mess. The magic of the PC version released in 2012 has vanished completely because Beamdog is trying to pull a cash grab taking advantage of our nostalgia. Instead of delivering the careful remaster of a legend we were promised, the producers are throwing at us a cheap port that will offend the D&D fans.
