Sometimes a Hollywood studio tries to make a blockbuster, but the end result is so dumb and pathetic that you can’t stop chuckling while watching it. Aliens: Colonial Marines is a game equivalent of that kind of failure. So do yourself a favor – wait until it hits $4,99 on Steam (oh, it will!), buy it, gather your friends, and get ready to laugh for four hours straight.

Storytelling-wise, Dead Space 3 falls flat, but it’s an enjoyable action romp -- if you play it with someone. Oh, and it’s definitely not an “quad-A” game – more like a decent B-movie.

There was a time when Steam was an upscale digital store, and now it looks more and more like a flea market. You never know what you’re going to get there, and sometimes you run into a sly salesman asking an arm and a leg for some musty old stuff. Like, you know, Triple Town.

Graphical flaws and overly linear gameplay aside, DmC is a solid first installment in the relaunched franchise.

I probably should berate Battle of the Bulge for having only one map, but I can’t bring myself to do it. By focusing on just this scenario, Shenandoah Studio honed it to almost perfection. Plus, $9,99 for a game that will captivate you for 3-4 hours straight is, I think, a good deal.

No matter how much content is recycled here, New Super Mario Bros. U is a gem in Wii U’s launch line-up. Problem is, there is nothing that sets it apart from a long line of its predecessors.

A unique visual style alone does not make a great game. I wish that Derrick the Deathfin had something else going for it besides colored paper.

In-game currency is the root of all evil in Fieldrunners 2. Useful bonuses cost a lot of money, and the game is very stingy when it comes to rewarding your victories. Want to triple your payout? Like a map on Facebook. Post about it on Twitter – you’ll get even more cash. And those who dislike this kind of “integration” with social networks will find the game unfairly tough.

It takes a couple of hours to fully realize that ZombiU – not an eerie game, but a rather eerily boring one – is a goner. I hope that Ubisoft will hack the head off this franchise before it turns into ZombiU 2 and starts biting people’s wallets.

Scribblenauts Unlimited is a rare opportunity to forget about scripts and usual conventions, to create your own rules instead of playing by someone else's. Turns out, playing God is not as hard as it seems, and it's a whole lot of fun.

Aftermath is the best out of all Battlefield 3 DLCs. Its maps tend to favor infantry, but the experience is as tense as ever.

At first glance, Puddle looks like a simplistic game – after all, you have to press only two buttons. But it offers so many diverse challenges that you'll be quickly proven otherwise.

Primal Carnage is not a bad game, but you'll get tired of it after a couple of days. If you want to find out what is feels like to be a monster, try Natural Selection 2.

No Time Left is Telltale's best effort to date. It has the longest heart-to-heart talk in the entire game, the most exciting action sequence featuring Lee, a hatchet and a horde of zombies, and a quiet, emotional climax.

Quantum Conundrum lacks many things that made Portal so entertaining. It never shocks you with amazing possibilities. It doesn't make you head spin with ingenious ways to solve a trite problem. It doesn't force you to look at the problem at a completely different angle. This is just a puzzle about moving boxes from one place to another.
