The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters isn't a particularly challenging experience and most of its story events unfold in a predictable way. Nevertheless, it has some really unnerving moments and it's a worthy sequel, improving upon every single aspect of its predecessor.

Essentially a board game with deeper game mechanics and an enjoyable plot, Here Be Dragons is sure to pose a serious challenge to those who will make the mistake of underestimating its difficulty.

It might not be the most innovative DLC as far as core gameplay elements are concerned, but the new types of hard challenges and dilemmas it offers, as well as its extremely interesting additions to the game's lore, make the Last Autumn a more than worthy addition to the Frostpunk universe.

Farmer's Dynasty is a great Simulation game, for sure. It features, and introduces even to the most ignorant, the whole cycle of basic farming activities throughout the year. But, as is the case with possibly every other similar simulator, its repetitive nature can bore those who lack the passion to plow every single tiny bit of their land.

Even though the areas feel somewhat detached from one another and the story doesn't advance as much as we'd like, Episode 3 is on par with the previous parts and leaves us craving for more.

Perhaps it was a bit unexpected, but Darksiders Genesis is more than a decent game, honoring the name of the long-time series. Featuring remarkable graphics and an amazing soundtrack, the new installment can provide you in with at least fifteen hours of enjoyable action.

Even though it would have certainly benefited from being a bit more open-ended as far as its main plot is concerned, Coteries of New York is still a remarkably fun visual novel based on the 5th Edition Vampire Rulebook, that should serve as an adequate appetizer ahead of the "main course" set to arrive in 2020.

I really wanted to love Blacksad. The noir story is quite compelling, being in the spirit of comic books. Alas, not so compelling as to overlook the severe technical issues which fester the title. This is a game that would have been better if it had been delayed a little further. Wait for much needed patches before trying it out.

Shenmue III is full of heart, but it's geared towards a very limited audience that doesn't mind playing a 2019 game with outdated and tiresome game mechanisms. Newcomers, however, will find very few things to keep them interested.

With Jedi Fallen Order, Respawn have made a small miracle and have delivered a stellar single-player Star Wars game. I daresay that JFO resembles what a modern Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast would have if it combined the best elements of gameplay defining games, sensibly unified and supported by a story which sets the rules without trying to be ground-breaking.

Little Big Workshop makes a Henry Ford out of you, requiring of you to plan and execute complex products while also handling machinery issues and your workforce. The stage for this labor drama is set on a tabletop providing comic relief and an authentic aesthetic. You get plenty of hours planning and enjoying the fruits of your intellectual labor for a very nice price.

Modern Warfare is by far the top CoD of the current decade, featuring improved graphics, a remarkable campaign and the freshest multiplayer the series has ever had. It remains CoD to the bone, so if that doesn't discourage you, buy it without hesitation.

Song of Horror breaths some fresh air into the Horror genre. Searching for clues and solving puzzles while being stalked by an omnipresent entity that adapts to your actions, has never been more terrifying.

Moons of Madness may be the best implementation of traditional puzzle-solving we've seen so far in an interactive narrative experience, in a setting that skillfully merges unearthly horrors with more "tangible" science fiction.

The Outer Worlds offers an RPG experience that brims with most of the qualities we could expect from its developers, based on their previous projects. It might not be the most ground-breaking or "deeply written" RPG of our times, but boy is it fun.

Creating a decent point 'n' click adventure is not an easy task. Angelo and Deemon starts with an interesting idea, but it falls flat in almost all aspects of what we call a high-quality adventure game.

Ubisoft failed to deliver a fresh Ghost Recon title and they were focused on how to import the open world of Wildlands into a virtual store. During the making process, they forgot that Ghost Recon series were always about realistic tactical shooting and not about exploring and looting like a maniac.

They say that if something ain't broken, don't fix it and Trine 4 is one of the brightest examples of that saying. Trine 4 removes with a single scratch the misstep of Trine 3 and it will be undoubtedly listed as one of the top indie games of the year.

Children of Morta breaks the roguelike conventions with stellar narrative delivery. The little events married with its exceptional pixel-art provide a deeply emotional journey, even if it is a hack'n'slash game down its core. The limited endgame is what hurts one of the Indie of 2019 candidates the most.
