A successor mostly in name and less in essence that suffers from limited scope. It tries to attract veterans and newcomers alike, ultimately failing to provide challenge and depth to the former and something innovative and on par with the competition to the latter.

As cold as the waters around Alcatraz are, according to the game, such was my personal chill after completing 1954: Alcatraz. While I was waiting for another hit from the German studio, what I finally faced was the weakest and most problematic adventure game they have given us so far. Unfortunately one adventure game that we had many hopes for, turns out to be a disappointment.

A typical action adventure game with an interesting crafting system. Although it doesn't have big designing mistakes, the game fails to be interesting enough and something we would remember for a long time.

Skull and Bones is visually beautiful, and the frantic pace of its ship-to-ship battles can potentially provide intense PVP and PVE thrills. However, as a result of its turbulent, decade-long development cycle and the game's resulting "identity crisis", its high points end up getting lost in a sea of mediocrity.

It desperately tries to reproduce some of its predecessor's elements that led to success, but fails miserably. There's a very specific and suitable word that captures it: Disappointment.

    Kyn
Kyn is a disappointing title. I don't recommend anyone to spend their money and buy a game with a bad and unfair battle system, problematic path finding, shallow scenario, uninspired characters and minimal character customization. Get the soundtrack instead.

A fun but technically unstable Zombies mode and some nostalgic additions to Multiplayer probably don't make up for the worst Campaign we've seen so far in a CoD game, nor do they fully redeem the game's integrity, a game which would have been better off released at half price as an expansion for MWII.

Despite its issues, Black Legend can offer an enjoyable 20-hour playthrough to fans of the Tactical RPG genre. A lot of work is needed, however, if it is to achieve anything greater than that.

Gorgeous visuals, an evocative soundtrack and a dreamy, magical realist vibe are hindered by poorly designed puzzles that hinge more on mad trial and error rather than actual observation. A unique experience that falls short of greatness.

Ubisoft failed to deliver a fresh Ghost Recon title and they were focused on how to import the open world of Wildlands into a virtual store. During the making process, they forgot that Ghost Recon series were always about realistic tactical shooting and not about exploring and looting like a maniac.

The promising implementation of Warhammer 40k's universe collapses under countless technical issues. In its current state, Space Hulk: Deathwing can be suggested only to die-hard fans of the franchise, who are willing to tolerate an unfinished product.

The fact that it successfully revives the 2000's style of games, along with their problems, doesn't mean it deserves any kind of a pass. Wanted: Dead is aimed at a strictly specific audience and no one else. It doesn't even have impressive graphics to grab the attention of the rest of us, and the voice over is mediocre and irritatingly repetitive. The fact that, price-wise at least, it's being marketed as an AAA title can only be described as another joke by its creators.

Scrap Garden is a very charming and relaxing 3D platform game to spend an afternoon or two and its simplistic gameplay and low difficulty make it a decent point of entry for children or beginners to the genre. With its main drawbacks being little duration and lack of sufficient adrenaline inducing set pieces, I would be hard pressed to recommend it for a full price.

Combining many indie games in one sounds great in theory, but the implementation isn't as good as in practice. Although it is a solid platform game, the puzzles and the collaboration between the heroes struggle to maintain the player's interest. At least if someone is inclined to overlook the game's problems, he will have some good moments with it.

Randal's Monday had the potential to be a really great adventure. The plot is interesting enough and tickles the curiosity of the player to see how the story ends, but the game suffers from many exaggerated puzzles and some tiresome dialogues.

It's a real pity that a promising game like Armikrog, which is shining in terms of animation, voice acting and persona, falls so short due to various bugs, sound problems, puzzle repetition and serious design flaws such as lack of hot spots and corresponding indicator. It could be a much better game but obviously it wasn't ready for launch at this time.

Full of the ghosts of “the game that could have been”, The Technomancer’s solid combat mechanics and well thought out character classes cannot mask the absolutely terrible voice acting and presentation of the story. Through it’s 30 plus hour campaign it is fairly impossible that you will care about any of the characters you come across. Extensive backtracking and enemy respawning will test a potential player’s goodwill to it’s limits.

Can't remember another adventure game that features such caustic satire on real life phenomena of the era in which it's being released. It tries to send various messages in all directions and becomes a strong voice against violence and racism events.

Monster Jam Steel Titans 2 does not seem to try hard enough in any of its fields, and especially in the most important one: being a fun game. Both its open world and exploration elements, as well as the racing part, seem unfinished and rather dull. Perhaps we should have gotten an expansion to the first game of the series instead of this release.

The “blindness” premise commits narrative suicide by effectively presenting the player with a complete, yet terribly drab view of the game-world. Furthermore, no real sense of danger or urgency is ever created and the game’s narrative falls victim to genre tropes once too many. The very definition of a noble failure, Perception fails to engage the player on an emotional level and crumbles under the weight of its monotony.

There are great, better priced RPGs out there so I do not suggest investing in this title of Spiders. Any good ideas are destroyed due to mediocre implementation, appalling technical issues and countless mistakes, an outcome of haste and sloppiness.

To the question if Monochroma meets the high expectations raised from the Kickstarter campaign, the answer is no. However, despite the game's mediocrity, there are some glimpses of quality and since it's the studio's first attempt, there could be better results in the future.

Despite various shortcomings like lack of polish in combat, some disorientating segments set in three dimensions and a very short duration, it manages to maintain a satisfactory level of quality through its unique world, beautiful, artistic design and pure enjoyment. Woolfe - Red Hood Diaries is a "fair-y" game after all.

Warhammer Quest is a great digital port of a classic tabletop dungeon crawl. Unfortunately the extra content should be open to everyone. Feel safe to invest only for a full package at a solid discount and you will enjoy many epic adventures of old school awesomeness.

Moebius: Empire Rising bears a resemblance to an expensive item, like the ones its protagonist values. While initially it seems extremely valuable, even though it comes in a not so beautiful package, in the end it appears to be of not so high value. It's not fake by any means, it's just that it does not correspond to the promises its fame and figure had created.

The Preposterous Awesomeness of Everything may at times be too pleased with its eviscerating critique of Western civilization but this does not change the fact that this short, albeit inspired adventure game packs essential truths of life in its two hours. Ideal drinking companion for malcontents, loners and assorted Enemies of the Majority.
