Overall, Golem Gates, is a unique take on the card-playing genre and welcome addition to the Switch library. Nonetheless, it has some minor flaws, even if it remains functionally intact. Either Way, Golem Gates is a must try for anyone looking for a strategy game on Switch and/or a fun multiplayer option! I can definitely see this game being something I come back to during airport gameplay sessions, or even just when I have a bunch of time to kill.- Pure Nintendo

Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II will provide a mana-blast of nostalgic glee for those who played the original Dark Alliance hack-and-slash RPG on their GameCube, but it doesn’t offer enough excitement or variety to otherwise hold your attention.- Pure Nintendo

Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots clearly needed more practice before teeing off on the Nintendo Switch. Thankfully, some necessary updates have significantly improved the game; however, one could argue that even more improvements are desired. I’m glad I held off on this review, because now (as a fan of video golf), I can appreciate it as a pretty good and content-rich title. Those less forgiving of its restrictive unlockable structure might bump it down a point, and wait to grab the game on sale.- Pure Nintendo

Super Meat Boy Forever will frustrate you; there’s no doubt about it. But that’s part of its draw. Just as games like Cuphead have an audience, the Super Meat Boy franchise has a slightly less masochistic one.- Pure Nintendo

Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 2 doesn’t even have local multiplayer unless you have two systems and two copies of the game, which is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve seen of late! The polish, quality, and most of all fun, simply isn’t here.- Pure Nintendo

Surprisingly, the online play works well, and it is cool to have a portable version of ARK for playing on the go. But would I recommend it on Nintendo Switch? $49.99 is…pricey for the quality. It’s worth it if you have no other way to play ARK, but only if it goes on sale. ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition itself is a very good, if not great, game, but this port is more mediocre than the best it can be. While I like playing it on Switch as an existing fan, I’m not sure I would if I was new to the game.- Pure Nintendo

AdventureQuest 8-Bit: Dungeons & Doomknights has its heart in the right place, but it relies a bit too much on parody to appeal to most gamers. Gameplay is outweighed by the comedy, leaving a generally flat experience if you’re not in on the joke.- Pure Nintendo

Cricket Through The Ages was a unique experience. I enjoyed my time with it, but I’ll probably rarely pick it up again. As soon as you play it once, you’ll have your fill.- Pure Nintendo

Detective Pikachu Returns is a welcome return for our mystery-solving duo. Although it comes across as simple in many ways, you’ll still find enjoyment if you’re in the mood for a relaxing game with a good story.- Pure Nintendo

Double Pug Switch is a challenging platformer, short but sweet, where you’ll find yourself saying, “just one more level!” The controls are easy to learn and hold a fun challenge that will keep you addicted. Multiple checkpoints are a saving grace.- Pure Nintendo

Gal*Gun Double Peace is an on-rails shooter with light elements of a dating sim. The lightly smutty aspect of the game is unashamedly its big selling point, but if you get into the mechanics of playing it successfully, you can get some solid gaming entertainment out of it.- Pure Nintendo

Beautiful Desolation is a deep, intelligent, puzzle adventure presented with a unique isometric view. It’s an easy recommendation to sci-fi fans who prefer narrative over action, but the Switch is not the best way to explore this apocalyptic world.- Pure Nintendo

Unlike many remakes glutting the market, the existence of Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World makes complete sense. After all, many gamers in the west never got to delight in what is likely the best entry in the Wonder Boy/Monster World series. How does this fancy remake play? Imagine for a second that Zelda II: Return of Link was good. That’ll get you pretty close.- Pure Nintendo

Overall, Youngblood is a welcome reinvention of the series, but lacks the personality of what makes a Wolfenstein game. Microtransactions aren’t as bad they’re made out, but it is still understandably going to impact each person differently. The extensive replay incentive and a charming, albeit short, story are appreciated. If you are a Wolfenstein enthusiast, this game definitely deserves at least one playthrough— just make sure you won’t have any interruptions during your sessions.- Pure Nintendo

There’s a solid base for a kart game here, but there’s just not enough content to be considered a contender on the Switch. As a result, it’s hard to compete against something like Mario Kart. And priced at $40, spend the extra $20 and get Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Switch instead.- Pure Nintendo

Kirby Fighters 2 will certainly appeal to fans of the franchise, as will anyone who enjoys playing as the Kirby characters in Super Smash Bros. It’s not a game to which you’ll likely return, however, once the initial charm wears off.- Pure Nintendo

Heroland enters the fold as the ultimate “sit back and relax” JRPG. Even though the game has hands-off combat and long-winded dialogue sections where your participation is questionable, you have charm oozing from every pixel. The self-aware humor and quirky characters make up for most of the shortcomings.- Pure Nintendo

The Legend of Legacy HD Remastered for Switch does a decent job of modernizing the visuals of the 2015 3DS game, but the important issues from the original still remain. Its lack of story and the difficulty spikes with its unique combat system make it hard to recommend to anyone other than the most fervent of JRPG fans.- Pure Nintendo

It’s not blowing it out of proportion to say that Pac-Man is one of the most significant characters in video game history. He’s so widely known and loved; that alone may be enough for some to pick up his latest release. Others with a fondness for the fledgling days of 3D platformers will find PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC is a good release that grows on you, even with its dated aspects. The pros definitely outweigh the cons, and $29.99 is a fair launch price for a physical game.- Pure Nintendo

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed may be an older game, but it’s still fun to play and Star Wars fans who haven’t previously enjoyed this title should give it a go. The engaging story and excellent voice work help bring it to life, despite the slightly dated graphics and relatively simple gameplay.- Pure Nintendo

Action Arcade Wrestling is a beautiful and smooth game that’s very attractively priced. Easy to pick up and play, it boasts a deep (but separate) creator’s tool with plenty of community-created wrestlers to download. What it does, it does well. But it’s missing features to make it a great game, specifically a career or federation mode. The framework is there, so hopefully, we will see that in the future.- Pure Nintendo

Overall The Red Lantern is full of heart and charm, but with some disappointing execution that had much potential. The journey felt short, and I noticed a few bugs, at one point getting so bad I had to restart. I feel like it is too short to be $24.99. But if you love dogs, making choices, and the great Alaskan wilderness, this game would be worth picking up if on sale.- Pure Nintendo

Super Blood Hockey varies away from traditional hockey games, though, it still is a ton of fun. It manages live up to it’s name as it is super bloody. The bloodiest hockey game I have ever played in fact. Luck for it the game has more to it than that, it is also really fun to play In some ways, the nontraditional gameplay allows for it to be more fun. There is some unexpected twists and turns along the way. Players wanting to get a fairly decent hockey title to play on the Switch should certainly check it out.- Pure Nintendo

It’s easy to see why this is a cult classic. BIOMOTOR UNITRON is a retro RPG done right. While it can be something of a grind, it offers more depth than you might think. And considering an original NGPC cart commands triple-digit pricing, this eShop release is a steal at only $7.99. So, if you’re a fan of dungeon crawlers, this sci-fi take shouldn’t be missed.- Pure Nintendo

Space Invaders Forever is a solid but overpriced collection that presents three unique spins on the classic Space Invaders formula. It’s by no means complete, but whether you’re looking for a quick party game or some solitary nostalgia, there’s a variation or two here for you.- Pure Nintendo

Despite its cheap price tag of US$5.OO, it remains hard to recommend due to its non-intuitive nature without a tutorial. I’d highly suggest that AskAnEnemyStudios considers adding a tutorial section if they want more people to take this game on Switch seriously. Personally, I don’t see the game being worth anyone’s hard-earned cash, especially for parents looking for a game to pick up for their child.- Pure Nintendo

Graveyard Keeper’s limitations and shortcomings come real close to outweighing the fun that can be had from playing a new game. When I got the game and read the premise, it sounded quirky and fun. As I played, it seemed more awkward and vexing.- Pure Nintendo
