TT Isle of Man Ride on the Edge 2 is a good game, but maybe not so much for the Switch’s limited Joy-Cons. I feel gamers shouldn’t have to fight the controls to get a game to feel right.

Although Eclipse: Edge of Light is a highly atmospheric game of planetary exploration, it loses its luster when moved from its VR origins to the flat screen of the Nintendo Switch. It’s an easy world to explore for a few hours, but one that offers little overall reward for its $15 asking price.

Excalibur Games has serious work ahead if they want to make Tracks – Toybox Edition a good game for the Nintendo Switch, especially if targeting whole families. Having a proper tutorial, improved UI, and touch screen support are some of the fundamentals they should revisit.

If you’re an avid fan of the Monkey Ball series you may find some entertainment here. Otherwise, I’d say you should pass, or wait until it’s on sale as Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD is not the grand return of the series it could have been.

Mosaic is a wonderful title that does an impressive job of showing the downsides of modern society. While light on gameplay, there is a lot going on in the narrative through repetitive segments, dreary scenery, and a magical fish. This is a game for the person who does not know how to cope with the bland nature of the modern world.

Torchlight III is a decent action RPG with plenty to do but with a side of repetitive quests and some glitches.

Land of Screens has an interesting storyline, but there’s no depth to it or its characters. The music is fun and it’ll keep you busy for about an hour but that’s about it.

Save Koch is an absorbing story with well-written characters and a genuinely engaging mystery.

TAITO Milestones is a no-frills package of ten ’80s-era arcade games, most of which are available separately in the Nintendo eShop. If you don’t already own the ones you want, it’s a decent collection with some obscure gems that may become your new favorites. A couple, however, don’t make a smooth transition from their arcade controls to your Joy-Con.

I give Dragon Quest a point as a piece of video game history, a point for the music, another for its DNA in Fortune Street, and one more because I’m feeling charitable. But beyond that, I just think this is a subpar port of a dated game, especially with no nostalgic value attached to it. It’s definitely not for me. With the graphical issues, I’m not even sure it’s for fans either.

As a fan of cinematic platformers, I rather enjoyed playing Stela from start to finish. Be that as it may, it didn’t take me long at all, hence one of my leading (but not my only) concerns. At under three hours, and with little replay value to speak of, $19.99 is a lot to launch for on the Nintendo Switch. On sale, this would be one to consider for sure, depending on how burnt out you might be on the subgenre.

Townscaper offers little to keep players engaged and seemingly never will. I have to call it what it is, an early access Steam experiment trying to pass itself off as a full-fledged Switch release. Since the developer admits no DLC’s on the horizon to address expected features that are MIA, this incomplete title’s one to skip, even at just $5.99.

Overall, Disney Tsum Tsum Festival is worthy of your time if you are a Disney enthusiast. The game is also worth a look if you want a family-oriented game and/or party game. Despite some of the title’s concerning game design choices, it has such a charming atmosphere and no performance issues. Therefore, having a jolly time is inevitable.

Redout 2 is a blast play for long-time F-Zero fans. Its blisteringly fast gameplay and brutal difficulty make it feel right at home with some of F-Zero’s more recent outings. The game demands precision, insanely fast reflexes, and the willingness to fail and try again. Redout 2 does this with just the right level of frustration, but also rewards and entices you back for more. It’s definitely not for newcomers to the F-Zero-like genre, as it’s easy to get frustrated and consistently lose races. It also doesn’t help that this Nintendo Switch version currently has a few visual and gameplay hiccups; they don’t ruin the experience but ultimately hinder it a bit. Regardless, Redout 2 on Nintendo Switch is a must-play for F-Zero fans.

The Stone of Madness has all the elements required for a fantastic stealth puzzle game – a gorgeous settng, an intriguing story, vibrant characters – but is sadly let down by bugs that cause it crash consistently in one place, leaving the otherwise absorbing story incomplete.

Beautiful to watch and genuinely challenging, Etherborn offers an innovative approach to puzzle games that has resulted in something unique and provocative.

Astria Ascending checks off the proper JRPG boxes while adding enough unique twists to satisfy fans of the genre. It won’t sit at the top of your “must complete” list, but it’ll serve you well when you need a break from higher profile releases.

Bookbound Brigade had the potential to be a good or even great game. Unfortunately, it fell victim to being dull and obnoxiously difficult. If the new take on the Metroidvania genre is being as boring and frustrating as possible then Bookbound Brigade met it’s goal. I would suggest saving your money to buy the book of the character you find the least interesting. Reading it would probably be more enjoyable than playing this game.

Fashion Dreamer is an open-world fashion game in which you can dress up yourself, other players, and NPCs with the aim to grow your brand and following. If you like choosing outfits, creating your own clothes, or styling hair and makeup, this game delivers that. While it lacks a story and any real challenge, Fashion Dreamer holds up as a good fashion game.

Monark has a refreshing battle system that will appeal to turn-based strategy gamers, but the dated graphics and overall redundancy make it a hard game to recommend at its full asking price. As with the game’s dangerous Mist, enter with caution.

Lost Ember provides players with an open world to explore through the viewpoint of various animals. And although it can be effective, its high price and downgraded graphics mean the Nintendo Switch may not be the best way to play it.

SpellKeeper is an addictive puzzle game that finds the right balance between teasing the brain and comforting it. It presents a unique premise and enough content to keep puzzle fans busy for quite a few hours.

Jurassic World: Aftermath Collection is a decent experience for those looking for a horror-like game of cat and mouse set in the Jurassic Park universe. It does a decent job building tension with its gameplay, its surprisingly competent raptor AI, and its unique ability to switch up the puzzles. That said, deaths can feel quite cheap, especially when the game has you die for reasons you can’t understand (I’m telling you, I was completely under that desk before that raptor came in!). It also drags on a bit too long and doesn’t change things up nearly enough, making the experience become quite predictable. Jurassic World: Aftermath Collection provides you with some fun but ultimately a mixed time.

All in all, Senran Kagura Peach Ball feels less like a game than a poorly-crafted joke about anime, porn, and video games.

While AWAY: Journey to the Unexpected features some great 2D character models and animations, the gameplay simply didn’t provide a fun experience. Close-up first-person combat and first-person platforming has never been easy in games and AWAY doesn’t take any meaningful step forward in solving those issues.

Overall I enjoyed my time with Shadowgate. I found myself frustrated from time to time but still really immersed in the game. As admitted above I am not always the fondest of this genre however fans of the adventure point-and-click games may find more enjoyment. If you are a fan of the genre or just want to give the style a try Shadowagate certainly is a good starting point. The story is compelling and the music and graphics are great.

Though not without some issues, this is a fun game for friends and family looking to waste a night without going out. So grab a mic and drink, sit down, and have fun playing Let’s Sing Country.

Don’t let its children’s book aesthetic and promise of being “jump scare free” fool you. Clea is an effectively creepy survival horror game that requires plenty of patience and courage when you’d rather just run.
