Few licensed videogames have captured the essence of their source material as well as Rage Software has captured the heart and soul, not to mention the over-the-top style of the boxing matches, that makes a “Rocky” movie click.- PSX Nation

I could go on and on about how "CB 2001" acts and walks radical, but fails to deliver the satisfying appeal of an 'extreme' sports game.- PSX Nation

Doesn't bring an iota of freshness or anything even remotely unique or original (and no, the memorable theme song or the well-known voices of the Smurfs are not here to save the game from itself).- PSX Nation

If you are able to look past frustrating controls and a poor camera, the game is quite enjoyable. It’s also not one of those games that added a bunch of annoying sidequests to extend its length, and as a result, it can be beaten with a healthy weekend of gaming.- PSX Nation

Cheerful, juvenile and more fun than what our rating might imply, "Danger Girl" is undone primarily because it's engine is riddled with technical flaws (collision detection, slug-like speed and frame-rate, poor aiming).- PSX Nation

Generic and by-the-numbers, 007 Racing shoehorns one of the world's best-known licenses into a dated car combat engine that wouldn't be taken seriously without it.- PSX Nation

Daunting difficulty and narrow appeal...There are teeth of mine I'd pull with a pair of pliers rather than play this card game ever again.- PSX Nation

Blade in the end disappoints with frustratingly cheap gameplay that offers little fun.- PSX Nation

A good night's rental for the little one's as long as Mom or Dad are nearby to bail him/her out of the tougher spots.- PSX Nation

If it keeps the cool Career mode, Custom Boxer Creation, decent polygon models and line-up of solid fighters (tossing out everything else, especially the awful 'toggle active hand' controller configuration), it could have the basis on which to rebuild a better game next year.- PSX Nation

Besides gameplay modes (which are plentiful), the title comes up short in just about every category that EA’s “FIFA” 32-bit titles have been polishing for years now.- PSX Nation

Not even Working Designs' loving attention to minite detail can hide the average-at-best strategy RPG elements of "Vanguard Bandits".- PSX Nation

They have the right idea with the Virtua Tennis approach but failed to come even close with the graphics to match. Shoddy graphics ruin this game ultimately.- PSX Nation

It was rather boring and lifeless. The graphics were rather flat and one dimensional and just got old really quick.- PSX Nation

When is milking a franchise for all it's worth enough? How about when the franchise's 3rd edition comes out looking and feeling absolutley no different from it's second edition?- PSX Nation

Despite online support and being the only hockey game on the PSP Gretzky NHL’s sloppy controls, lackluster sound and choppy frame-rate make it a less-than-stellar representation of the sport it recreates.- PSX Nation

Outdated graphics, an unfriendly (but ultimately bearable) control scheme and a shockingly bad (i.e. incomplete) localization make Ultimate Battle 22 the lesser alternative to “Budokai."- PSX Nation

Little effort went into trying to elevate the premise of the game (a young woman struggling with the evil side of her personality trying to emerge and cause deadly mischief) into something more psychological and frightening than what we ended up with.- PSX Nation

Shox’s handful of self-titled innovations (Shox Zone, Shox wave, etc.) and good-looking engine can’t quite save it from its repetitive three-lap gameplay, cheating A.I. and sticker Shox price tag (sorry, couldn’t help it!).- PSX Nation

Unlike "Madden 2004" and "ESPN NFL 2K4" though, one doesn’t get the feeling when playing GameDay 2004 that the developers pushed themselves (or their game) to the PS2's theoretical limit. Cool online football experience though!- PSX Nation

It's still too boring and esoteric an experience for some of us to even take seriously. Add an extra point to our score for Save The Homeland if you're a fan of the series, or feel free to ignore whatever we say.- PSX Nation

The control gimmick of "Cookie & Cream" not only works like a charm, but also serves as the basis of one hell of a brain-teasing, pulse-pounding and reasonably-complex series of "Crash Bandicoot"-like forward-scrolling levels.- PSX Nation
