Remove the polished visuals, multiplayer options, cast of historic characters, gorgeous CG movies and nauseating English voice-overs from Koei’s "Dynasty Warriors" series. Add buckets of blood and a mostly-linear quest that seems lifted straight from the hit 2000 movie "Gladiator." Voala!- PSX Nation

An acquired taste that blends mainstream graphic appeal with a methodic pace and a compelling story to great effect.- PSX Nation

It's slick, colorful, challenging, well-rounded, has a soundtrack to die for and it allows you and a friend to waste more time playing "Pong" than either one would ever care to admit.- PSX Nation

Too bad the game’s bloody battles (starring Agrippa) far outpace its stealth segments (featuring Octavianus), resulting in an uneven experience that makes players anticipate half the game and loathe the other.- PSX Nation

Light on story and depth but packed with tons of action (particularly in multiplayer), Legends is an X-Men fan’s dream come true and the best non-fighting game ever made featuring Marvel’s legendary team of superheroes.- PSX Nation

A jack of many videogame trades (RPG, “Mario Paint”-type paint program, “Pokemon”-like arena battles, etc.) that somehow succeeds at making a fun and coherent whole out of its many disparate elements.- PSX Nation

Fanboys (and girls!) of Bender, Frye, Leela and the Planet Express gang will definitely want to add this game to their collection; it’s much better than comparable software based on TV shows cancelled prematurely.- PSX Nation

Based on expectations there's more fun to be had in Konami's shiny and pretty new virtual b-ball court than EA's.- PSX Nation

These two versions of SNK’s long-running franchise compensate for their outdated visuals and muffled sounds with well-honed and rewarding gameplay that’s as hard as it is rewarding if you’re into this type of game.- PSX Nation

This isn't a game for everyone, namely those with little patience, but for anyone else willing to put the time into playing this game will find an adventure like no other on the PlayStation 2 and currently the best RPG out there.- PSX Nation

A fun little cartoony racer that's meant for here-and-now thrills and for the young-at-heart grown-ups that still watch Looney Tunes.- PSX Nation

Thunder 2002 comes as close as any NASCAR title ever could to making me a convert to the sport, which is a high complement from someone that finds NASCAR races on TV way too boring and repetitive.- PSX Nation

Not for everybody, but the committed few that love F1 racing can purchase this puppy knowing their $50 are getting them one heck of a decent-looking, long and challenging affair.- PSX Nation

The cakewalk difficulty, absence of key characters from the book/movie and uneven control schemes (turn-based battles geared toward melee combat) overwhelm one’s gaming senses more than the detailed visuals (character animations are off though) and stellar audio.- PSX Nation

It's this sense of bike duty and absurd self-imposed goofiness (the game has a sunny and lighthearted side to complement its brutish exterior) that ultimately make this game the perfect '7.'- PSX Nation

When it clicks it's such a magnificent marriage of concept and execution (particularly the control) that we wish everything in it had been as well thought and designed as the portions which were given more attention (like the graphics).- PSX Nation

The car sounds are just a bit bland with hardly any exciting over the top effects. The announcer is quite a smartass but not really in a funny way.- PSX Nation

It’s not the worst BGM I’ve heard in a racing game but I’ve certainly heard better music from little cartridges for portable videogame systems (“Checkered Flag” for the Atari Lynx anyone?).- PSX Nation

The "Power Stone" style of fighting isn't done justice by this 32-bit engine, which isn't fast-enough or polished-enough to elevate it past mediocrity.- PSX Nation

Live 2003’s identity crisis and average-at-best graphics are inexcusable. It belongs next to “ShootOut 2003” in the rental bin while “NBA 2K3” spins happily ever after.- PSX Nation
