Just like all of its predecessors, in that it is all about taking a character, wading into combat, and decimating the enemy ranks.
-
For now, this is still the most fun you can have hitting random people with random things by the hundreds, while still whetting your appetite for more of the same.
-
With simple controller schemes, this game is very accessible.

This budget-priced bonus pack features several additions to the original game, but it also exists as a playable, stand-alone product--albeit one that isn't as interesting on its own as it is when combined with the original.
-
Cheat Code CentralThe various modes will keep you busy and detract somewhat from the repetitious nature of the gameplay. But if you really get into it, you won't have time to be bored. You must attain a Zen-like state to be at one with this game.

PSX NationPredictably competent.
-
The big reason for diehard Warriors fans to pick up Samurai XL obviously lies in its four new characters. Yep. Four. That's pretty pathetic compared to the nine added to "Dynasty 3 XL" (and even though "Dynasty 4 XL" featured no new warriors, its fun new gameplay modes compensated nicely).
