  • Summary: Konami's "Z.O.E.", which just so happens to contain a demo of "Metal Gear Solid 2" (also designed by Hideo Kojima), features Leo Starbuck, an Ender on a space station orbiting Jupiter, battles to return a giant robot to its rightful owners while battling other pesky robots in the process.

  1. Finally a game that boasts graphics that we have been promised would come out of our PS2s.
  2. This is one game that is not afraid to lay it all out on the table and let the chips fall.

An enjoyable action title that's easy to pick up and play. If you can get past the preachy narrative and dialogue, you'll be immersed in intense combat and cool weapons.
  4. But although it introduces some exciting new concepts into its gameplay and environment, some of these don’t seem to be as well thought out or tested as they ought to have been, and a few other important game elements seem to have been sacrificed altogether.

The 3D engine and control scheme they have created are absolutely marvelous, and the game's visual designs are top-notch. It has flashes of brilliant scenario design... So I hope their next game builds on those strengths, and does something about the problems I've already discussed at length.
  6. Fails to live up to the lofty Kojima standards but delivers a technically sound and smooth-playing experience.
  7. The fighting was fun but only to a point. After the endless battles with little variation even the fighting became tedious. Once that happened it was merely a matter of waiting for the game to end. Fortunately it was not a long wait. The game is ridiculously short.

An action mecha game which combines 3rd person shooter and hack and slash/action elements. Bear in mind though that it gets really repetitive. The controls are just okay and the fixed camera could annoy you sometimes. As long as graphics are concerned, they look fantastic. People who like mecha games and action games in general will definitely enjoy it. Expand

Love how the girl says "i know where to go" but doesnt say anything on one objective, just to trigger you ;^)

Gameplay is amazing but it i dont know if i would be able to progress without googling every 10 minutes.

You fall into a robot and then go on to save the world. The fighting is nice and fast and you can cost alot of damage to the surroundings but they weapons you work so hard to get you use quite little and they will probaly rust. The main character is just annoying and you will skip most of the cut scenes. You may get stuck on a certin mission such as finding the raptor. You will spend hours looking for the way to pass the level. Thats if your mission isn't stoped dead on hostage rescue missions. This game is a good rent but a bad buy unless you wanted the Metal Gear Solid 2 demo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Expand

This game is unplayable mess from every point of view.
I strongly suggest you never launch this "game" even if you got it for free.

Plot is non-existant, main character makes me want to kill him every time he opens his mouth.

Worst of all are awful gameplay mechanics and fact that this is unplayable without a strategy guide, because game NEVER explain what needs to be done next so its up to you to decide which of 5 already finished levels you must visit for 5th time to get another "password" to progress further.
