Unique, entertaining, surprisingly diverse, and quite addictive. There's a lot of ingenuity and creativity here, and Laughing Jackal should be applauded for the effort.- PSX Extreme

But it's all just so… Just pick your favorite synonym for bland or flat. The control is fine, some of the backdrops are cool, and particularly hectic firefights can deliver the energetic goods. But the skill shot system clashes badly with the overall theme, the campaign is way too short (and quite boring), the multiplayer is lackluster, and the AI isn't bright.- PSX Extreme

What surrounds these upgrades is an air of amazing accomplishment; it pervades every second of your journey and continually reminds us why we love originality in the world of interactive entertainment. The only other downside is this- after playing, you'll probably cry at the thought of a long wait for The Last Guardian.- PSX Extreme

In short, the game has more ups than downs but it's impossible to ignore the downs.- PSX Extreme

It hits you right between the eyes from the start and never lets up. The control is tight, the variety (fueled by different enemies, upgradeable weapons, and gigantic bosses) is absolutely essential, the atmosphere has a large impact, the story and characters are compelling, and the pacing and technical style is second-to-none.- PSX Extreme

It can be immensely frustrating, the story is insane, and the Shift feature really does feel overused in the campaign. At the same time, the inherent diversity and versatility is excellent, the graphics are pretty and presents great detail, the soundtrack is awesome, and the control is reliable (if a little weird).- PSX Extreme

The Baconing is a competent, fun, and mostly diverse title with plenty of kooky humor. It's a decent option for those who never played DeathSpank, and if you did play the first game, you'll probably like the similarities found in the sequel.- PSX Extreme

Just isn't a significant upgrade by any stretch of the imagination, despite some noted enhancements. They ignore things like crazy ball physics and collision detection problems, and opt for changes that are just plain bizarre. I liked the increased AI, the strategic demand, the cool animations and sweet visuals, and better tackling mechanics. I really liked all that. But the rest feels either dated or uninspired and in the end, I just don't have much fun with this year's entry.- PSX Extreme

It can look a little too dark in places and there's a strange halt or pause at particular points, but overall, this is a package that absolutely cannot be missed. If you never got a chance to play either title on the PSP, you have no choice; get it now.- PSX Extreme

Exactly what it should be: an upgrade of a recognizable game that plenty of fans have adored. It's very pretty, the audio is borderline amazing, the captivating, addicting gameplay is back in full force (with even a little extra force), and player choice and customization immediately gives us a sense of purpose.- PSX Extreme

A fun, delightful, challenging romp through a beautifully designed world. It can really get on your nerves due to minor control and camera issues but it's also quite rewarding.- PSX Extreme

The camera and control can be a little iffy, the maze-like quality of certain districts can get annoying, and the AI and technical presentation feels somewhat dated. But the gameplay is absolutely stellar. It's a pleasure to play such a COMPLETE experience. The depth is there, the style and atmosphere is there, the action is there, and the story is there.- PSX Extreme

The only big problem is that our sense of accomplishment is greatly diminished due to a lack of a challenge. It's really just too easy, even for the younger crowd.- PSX Extreme

A competent action slash-fest, loaded with tons of great enemy and character design, impressive animations, and an accessible, moderately rewarding combat system. But the backdrops are just too bland and uninspired, the repetitive nature of the gameplay gets tiresome, and that accessibility borders on tedious simplicity.- PSX Extreme

Catherine is like nothing else but it doesn't succeed on originality alone. It features a spectacular puzzle concept, fast-paced and very rewarding gameplay, interesting characters and an effective story, and an atmosphere and style that's second-to-none.- PSX Extreme

The style, attitude, and ideas are all good, and the graphics aren't too bad. But the game is way too slow for a shooter, the faceless enemies never miss a shot, the AI is terrible, collision detectiion is iffy, and the extra features designed to let the game shine fall flat.- PSX Extreme

A decent puzzler that is humorous, relatively well written and presented, and plenty challenging. The spiking difficulty due to puzzles that simply seem bizarre and obscure can stop you in your tracks but hey, isn't that a common trait of the genre?- PSX Extreme

Quite simply a high-definition version of an established classic. This version enhances the good and diminishes the bad; although we should probably admit that time itself works to exaggerate the low points.- PSX Extreme

The design, style, attitude, and bearing of the game is great; it's loaded with a certain swagger that is to be expected from Shinji Mikami and Suda 51. There's even a fair amount of genuine comedy...your gun's name is "Johnson," after all.- PSX Extreme

The pacing takes a hit because I think the developers went a little overboard in terms of character depth, the camera can be problematic, and a few too many of the abilities seem pointless, but in the end, DSIII is a dungeon-crawling winner.- PSX Extreme

Why such a focus on action when the control scheme can't really handle that emphasis? Why not do a lot more with the atmosphere and storyline? Why does it take the story so long to get anywhere? These are questions I didn't want to ask.- PSX Extreme

Loads of fun. There's a great deal of ingenuity here, and the power we feel wandering about is almost unparalleled in third-person shooters. The package really is quite solid and well worth a look…provided you're done playing the elite AAA titles out there.- PSX Extreme

When all is said and done, DiRT 3 is a robust, in-depth and almost sparkling package that is immensely appealing to racing fans of all kinds. The realism combined with great accessibility is quite possibly the biggest draw.- PSX Extreme
