NFL Blitz has all the personality and appeal of installments during the franchise's glory days. It can feel a tad thin due to a lack of options and customization – you can't change the quarter length, for instance – but I doubt the old-school fans will be disappointed.- PSX Extreme

There's this strange lack of weight to Kazuma's movement. It almost feels as if you're gliding around the pavement when exploring, and this sort of transfers into the combat, too. It just doesn't feel like a tight, finely honed mechanic, which brings the entire experience down a few notches.- PSX Extreme

Just based solely on its gunplay, Alien Hominid is worthy of mention in the same breath as classic shoot-'em-ups like Contra and Metal Slug. Nonetheless, it is the game's uniquely refreshing (albeit crude) visual style and attitude that justifies the price of admission.- PSX Extreme

It’s somewhat unfortunate that it’s not the definitive "best version" out there, as the inconsistent frame rate drops it a bit behind the Xbox 360 version, but that’s okay. It’s not visibly inferior, either, and for the most part, nothing is lacking in the PS3 version. Both are extremely well done, and that’s that.- PSX Extreme

In the end, Ghostwire: Tokyo will satisfy that weeb-y curiosity when it comes to Japanese folklore while also giving you a fair bit of busy-work to keep your playtime high. Its overall gameplay is pretty solid, the story is above average when it comes to games from Bethesda-owned studios, and the feeling you get when you reach that points of unease can hit you like a ton of bricks, even if it does get repetitive from the second you capture your first set of lost spirits and send them off to Ed.- PSX Extreme

The control is beautiful (and I'm pretty sure the momentum physics have been ramped up), your opponent AI is intelligent and challenging at higher levels, the presentation and atmosphere is immersive, and the Career Mode never ceases to be entertaining.- PSX Extreme

I see a missed opportunity with the story, the AI can be iffy, and the game isn’t as stable as one would like. Still, there’s no denying that Last Light is worth your money and your time, particularly because you won’t soon find another game quite like it.- PSX Extreme

With crisp visuals that feed your eyes nothing but visual sugary sweets, and gameplay that engrosses you from the start to finish[line], Sega Rally Revo really does have everything rally fans, racing fans, and fans of the arcade franchise will love. Best of all, with multiplayer, and a solid number of things to unlock (such as cars and tracks), you're certainly getting your money worth.- PSX Extreme

Yeah, the frame rate isn't quite where it needs to be, there's some pop-in, and it just doesn't look downright amazing due to today's standards and this slightly lesser port. The vehicle control is loose and the AI is stupid, but this remains a lot of fun, and the campaign speaks for itself.- PSX Extreme

I'm happy to say that this round of Mortal Kombat, while unconventional in concept, may be the best one we've had in over a decade. Don't let the DC Universe mash-up fool you, because at the core of this game is the very essence that made Mortal Kombat 3 so great over a decade ago.- PSX Extreme

Yes, it's just Madden but the "just" part is sort of an insult to a series that has delivered so consistently. They just need to recognize that a few more important steps must be taken as we enter a new generation…- PSX Extreme

Sure, LEGO Star Wars is easy. Sure, it looks like a game for kids. These things are undeniable; however, what else is undeniable is just how much fun that playing this game is, despite its appearance.- PSX Extreme

But the story really does take too long to unfold, the battle environment is far too repetitive and often boring, you don't have as much control as you would like (only controlling one character isn't much fun), the soundtrack gets ridiculously repetitive at times, and there's no actual world map you can physically explore.- PSX Extreme

The set pieces are fantastic, the audio features some of the best highlights you'll hear this year, and there's plenty of player choice/freedom available in most missions. The difficulty is just about right (even though Agent 47 is a little too resilient, in my opinion) and fans of the series should be happy.- PSX Extreme

If you’ve laughed at the no-holds-barred, no-punches-pulled comedy of Matt Stone and Trey Parker, you’ll very likely enjoy this game. It’s not very long but I have a feeling that when it’s done, you’ll say you’ve had your fill…and your face will still sport a smile.- PSX Extreme

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge for the PS2 is still great despite missing a features the PSP game has. At its very core, it does everything that the PS3 games have been doing for years now, with the one and only major difference being the visual sacrifice.- PSX Extreme

Enslaved really fits the "fun" label. It's not as technically proficient as it should've been, one may question the built-in ease of certain aspects of the gameplay (i.e., hand-holding), and there can be camera and frame rate issues. This is what keeps it from being an elite production. At the same time, the characters, story, atmosphere, design, presentation, and acting make it a must-try.- PSX Extreme
