Navigating through traffic, hills, and obstacles isn't easy, so it takes a skilled cabbie with no fear to earn the big bucks. Players can drive through the two original maps of Crazy Taxi, including the arcade map and the original Dreamcast map, both inspired by the steep hills, trademark cable cars, and breezy waterfront of San Francisco. Then they'll head for the Small Apple maps in "Crazy Taxi 2," which is inspired by New York's large building fronts, hectic downtown streets, and the city's famous Central Park and subway system. Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars offers cabbies several single player modes including the mission-based Arcade mode, where skilled drivers earn time bonuses, and Time Trial mode where drivers collect the highest fares possible in the time allowed. In addition, for cabbies to practice their crazy driving skills, two mini-game training modes are available.     This is just one of those games you can pick up and play on a whim for two minutes or two hours. The game can get quite addicting as you try to shave seconds off your delivery time while sneaking in an extra jump or a few more yards of crazy drift.

    There is not much to say exactly about the Crazy Taxi games that haven't been said and they fit perfectly on the PSP, quick arcade session gameplay, try and make the most cash in 5 minutes, and then try again and again. Driving and cornering is as smooth as you can get and both games handle like their DC counterparts. Crazy Taxi has the best level design, but Crazy Taxi 2 adds in the boost feature that makes leaping over traffic a breeze, and making those huge jumps from freeway to freeway possible.

    It's hard to fault any Crazy Taxi game because the game play is just so good, but if your looking for representations of Tower Records, The Fila shop or KFC in the psp version, you will be looking for a long time, as those licenses expired years ago. Those iconic images are staples in the history of Crazy Taxi, but you can still have kick ass game sessions without them.

    Fare Wars is another PSP release that just keeps on giving, you might of played them before, but you cannot pass up playing them again, this time possibly in the back of a taxi yourself.    … Expand

    Bout time Crazy Taxi showed up on the PSP - it's been on every other platform. Good port of the arcade/DC version.

The game controls fine, plays fine, looks fine, and works pretty much as you remember. I certainly haven't noticed any framerate issues. This is Crazy Taxi, and that's why it gets a 7... because CT has always been a fun but limited game.… Expand

There are some constant framerate issues. Also, as with other racing games on the PSP, because of the widescreen format, it's kinda hard to see far ahead. What makes it even worse is that this is an extremely fast paced game and there are occasional pop ups. Throw in some framerate issues, jaggy graphics and you can have some serious problems. But I'm such a huge Crazy Taxi fan I can't give this game lower than a 5, I still enjoy this game and custom soundtracks is a plus. If you've never played this game before find a different version. If you're a diehard CT fan, it's worth a try.… Expand
