A sharp not-shooter with some interesting ideas that's well worth checking out.

A slick and entertaining puzzler that doesn't quite live up to the brilliance of its predecessor.

SUP has some fun ideas, but unless you like to do some serious grinding to achieve anything, you might find yourself getting bored pretty quickly.

Under Pressure is everything a second episode should be: interesting, deep, and action-packed. It may not be perfect, but it's a vast improvement on episode one which was trying too hard to be a great first episode. Under Pressure just shrugged, kicked its feet back, and cracked open a beer.

It's not the freshest game out there, but there's enough in Super Nano Jumpers to keep you entertained.

Disgaea 5 Complete is an inaccessible, ugly, and grind heavy strategy RPG that asks far too much of you to get anything out of it. Unless you already love the franchise, we'd strongly urge you to stay clear.

Arms is an excellent spin on the fighting genre by Nintendo that suffers from control issues and a lack of single player.

Ultra Street Fighter II does a great job of providing the signature fighting experience on the go, but falls short of being a no-brainer due to iffy exclusive Switch content and a hefty price tag.

This is a deliciously tactile, malleable game. One of its levels is full of more ideas than most games on the App Store can cram into their entire run time. Plus it's beautiful. So very, very beautiful. I can't stress enough how good Monument Valley 2 is. It builds on what came before - in a very real way, it's a sequel about sequels. And its story about legacy cements ustwo's own position as one of the greatest developers working on mobile.

It captures the essence of Crazy Taxi perfectly, but Gazillionaire ruins the experience by straying too far from the clicker formula.

Oh...Sir! The Hollywood Roast is still as enjoyable as its predecessors, only with more movie references and less Monty Python jokes.

The Walking Dead: A New Frontier brings back the 'family values' feel desperately missing since Season One, but still fails to avoid Telltale's typical quirks and downfalls.

It's relatively mindless hack-n-slash fun in short bursts, but Iron Blade suffers from targeting problems and too much grinding.

Wonder Boy is full of wistful retro charm, and an absolutely essential purchase on the Nintendo Switch eShop.

VOEZ plays wonderfully on Nintendo Switch, and offers a premium package where the mobile version required you to buy many songs separately. That might work for you though, if you wanted to keep the cost of entry low. The only slight disappointment with this version, is that you can't play it in docked mode. Sure, that would have been difficult to do given that it's a touch-based game, but it would have been nice to have had a version running that used the right Joycon as a Wiimote. It's not the end of the day though, and if you're a fan of rhythm action games VOEZ is one well worth checking out for its beauty, innovation, and wealth of content for that low price.

The endlessly creative Minecraft works best as a portable game, making this (almost) fully-featured Switch port one of the best versions of the game.

There are a few problems here, but none of them are big enough to detract from the fun you'll mostly be having.

The whole thing is complete nonsense. But it's the sort of thing you'll want to pop in to every now and then. It's no Pokemon GO, not by a long shot, but it is a fun diversion from an otherwise awful world.

The whole thing is tough, make no bones about it, but it's a rewarding experience all the same. It won't be to everyone's tastes, but if you like your shooters with a growl on their grizzled old faces, then there's a lot to like here.

There's a solid idea at the core of CATS, but it's not going to be to everyone's liking.

The game features a lot of buildings, units, and upgrades to unlock, but there's no real end goal in sight. This would be greatly aided by some semblance of a story or some more robust competition, but that is sadly lacking.
