A sharp not-shooter with some interesting ideas that's well worth checking out.

Fowlst takes two, obvious sources of inspiration and shamelessly slaps them together. The result is a game that is clearly reminiscent of both Downwell and Flappy Bird while still feeling like its own thing. There are times where its run-based nature can feel a little overly repetitive, but this roguelike arcade game is still a hoot.

Fowlst is the type of mobile game I’m always happy to see more of. It’s simple and accessible, but also nuanced and difficult. It’s meant to be played in short bursts, but also rewards players who stick with it over time. It’s this (not quite) perfect little bite-sized, self-contained piece of arcade-y fun.

Fun game to play on the bus! it's kind of like flappy bird, super meat boy and an old space shooter game but different enough to stand on its own. 10/10, first game I don't regret buying. Expand
