Great graphics and a catchy (if familiar) soundtrack contribute to the overall excellent game atmosphere.

Funny and challenging, Stunt Star: The Hollywood Years will prove a worthy download for fans of the physics-based genre, but the intense difficulty of the later levels limits its appeal.

A ferociously intense, multiplayer-focused real-time strategy game that's hugely entertaining, despite the lack of online play.

A grind-heavy card battler, with high production values, and even higher costs if you want to play to a decent level.

A charming building game that's full of potential. The core systems and menus are just too much like hard work for all but the most dedicated of virtual grafters, though.

Bold and imaginative, Shapist brings shape sorting into the modern age with impressive panache. It may prove too challenging for more casual puzzlers, though.

A generously proportioned, cleverly made, if familiar physics-puzzler with a particularly sweet glaze on top.

A tactile combination of Threes! and match-three puzzler gameplay, SideSwype is perhaps a little too streamlined for its own good.

A touch disjointed, but always captivating, this cinematic Charlie's Angels in space has modern sensibilities, smarts and attitude/

A game that never lives up to its central idea, Haunt the House: Terrortown is spoilt by clumsy controls.

A reasonably well put together wrestling game, but there are some pretty frayed edges that keep it from being great.

No, it won't be to everyone's tastes, but if you're a fan of board games then there's definitely a lot to love here. And if you're a fan of baseball you might understand some of the things the game says to you. Either way there's a good deal of fun to suck out of Bottom of the 9th. Don't write it off if you don't fit into both, or either of the camps, it's designed for. Just go with it, and you might be pleasantly surprised.

Those who previously complained about the title's lack of touch screen will be thoroughly satisfied this time around. Mind you, if you've played it already, there's not that much point grabbing it again. Despite the fact Max: The Curse of Brotherhood isn't a fantastic game, it is a great platformer/puzzler which does shine up nicely on the Switch.

Before you dismiss Dragon Quest Tact as another gacha game that brings nothing new to the table, it’s worth a try to download and see if it’s your cup of tea. You can also take advantage of the very first “Scout” chance you get for ten pulls - rerolling or retrying again and again helps you nab S-Rank monsters right from the get-go. I personally lucked out with three S-Rank pulls from the draw pool, and yes, they’re worth every tap.

The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story is a live-action mystery adventure where you'll have to solve murders to piece together a centuries-old case. The narrative is incredibly intriguing, but it can be a huge slog to get there especially for an on-the-go gamer. Be sure you've got the patience to power through if you're looking to get into this game.

Soul Calibur is a fantastic fighting game, which is harder to recommend than it should be thanks to a high price tag and the omission of any multiplayer modes.

Pudding Monsters is cute, creative, and eminently playable. But it's a bit too familiar, and a bit too easy, to be a truly essential puzzler.

An open-world battle racer with more crash-bang-wallop than a brass band in a bar-room brawl. It just needs a smidgen more dev to realise its full potential.
