Repulze may not be as feature packed as some of its rivals, but the focused gameplay and stunning visuals ensure that speed lovers will extract full entertainment value from it.

There's a few problems here and there, but for the most part Sdorica - Sunset is well worth checking out.

Banzai Rabbit doesn't try to conceal its source of inspiration, but the end result is a fantastic recreation of Konami's classic Frogger – albeit one with a few regrettable camera niggles.

Still, the payment structure doesn't get in the way of the raw, petrol-stinking enjoyment too much. If you're a funny of pointlessly gritty cop-bashing Fast and Furious nonsense, then this is well worth checking out.

A brash, bright shooter, Major Mayhem is a brilliant way to waste an hour. It's just a shame there isn't more to get your teeth into.

Though it can be a little slow, Sunless Sea is a cracking exploration game with a dark, gothic undertow.

An improvement over its predecessor in almost every area and as such the new lord of free-roaming gangster simulations – there's nothing to match it on PSP. But the narrative feels a little undercooked.

The crown prince of the American football game, Madden is showing no signs of weakness as he enters his eighteenth year at the top. It may not justify disposing of 07, but this is a great time for newcomers to join the party.

Animal Farm stays true to George Orwell’s masterpiece but incorporates its own fun twist into the classic. I haven’t found out if I could end the game by drinking alcohol with the humans just yet as the book did, but I’d really like to see if the animals would look from pig to man and man to pig and not be able to tell the difference.

Expelled! is a quirky whodunit-esque adventure where every choice you make will determine your fate. The repetitive loop might get tiring at some point, but thankfully, the story is still compelling enough to make you want to go through it over and over again. Or, at the very least, you can take pleasure in watching your enemies take the fall - literally and figuratively.

Coromon is a worthy addition to the monster-catching genre, however, there is no getting away from the fact that TRAGsoft has dumbed down the standard gameplay a bit with its free-SP recovery and Potential system. You can ignore a lot of these, but some people will be turned off by this visage of ease. I loved these changes and found the game quite good fun with its delightfully retro design, and given that you can play up to the third town for free, what have you got to lose?
