Coromon is a worthy addition to the monster-catching genre, however, there is no getting away from the fact that TRAGsoft has dumbed down the standard gameplay a bit with its free-SP recovery and Potential system. You can ignore a lot of these, but some people will be turned off by this visage of ease. I loved these changes and found the game quite good fun with its delightfully retro design, and given that you can play up to the third town for free, what have you got to lose?

Par for the Dungeon is an incredibly fun time, and for the most part manages to find the right balance of challenge to frustration. There are a few levels that feel a little unfair about the exact angle you need to hit a wall, and the monetization is a bit iffy, but you can overlook that pretty easily when stacked against what a great time you will have. Pikuniku is a seemingly simple game packed full of clever ideas and smart design. It does a lot with very little, and makes for a delightful puzzle-platformer in doing so. It's single-player mode can feel a bit meandering and frustrating at times as you struggle to make any meaningful progress, and its co-op is brilliant but just a little too short. But despite all this, it's a game that platformer fans simply must play. It's sheer brilliance wrapped in a silly, cute package, and it's by far one of the smartest platformers on Switch to date.
