Stories: The Path of Destinies is quite the compelling curio; a seemingly routine hack and slash affair at first, it soon elevates its calibre with some satisfying ARPG style action, entertaining writing and a wonderfully non-linear multi-faceted narrative. It’s just a shame that a multitude of bugs and performance issues tarnish the experience.

Season Two of Minecraft Story Mode doesn’t open with a bang, but it is a pleasing start all the same. A fresh bunch of characters give the story some pep, and the warm, family-friendly peril continues to be a pleasant time. It won’t win any awards for originality, but this season opener does a nice enough job of selling the remainder.

Kingdom Come Deliverance is a commendably ambitious open world RPG steeped in a real sense of place and grandeur. That said, the experience remains one that is housed inside a beautiful, though imperfect world in which if you can tolerate its shortcomings, you'll find a great deal to do and enjoy.

Planet Of Lana is a captivating narrative adventure, with a stunning visual design and cinematic focus that will leave you desperate for a photo mode, or hoping a new technology will appear that lets you jump right into the games world, and experience the wonderful vistas of Lana's home planet alongside her and Mui. The gameplay however doesn't include enough variety to keep things interesting all the way through to the credits, even with a short runtime. But if you're someone who leans more towards the narrative in a game anyways, then Planet Of Lana's touching story, charming characters and (once more for emphasis) beautiful and stunning art style, you absolutely must play Planet Of Lana.

Lords of the Fallen has a lot to offer for fans of the genre as well as newcomers. While a few choices break up the ambiance, the learning curve is much more welcoming to newcomers of the genre without losing a lot of the challenge.

A solid first entry in the series. If you’re a Supercross fan then you’ll easily get knee deep into the excellent track editor and have good fun hurtling around its muddy tracks.

Beyond Blue is an educational game that delivers its lessons in a very relaxing manner. Players spend most of the game swimming around and looking at fish, and that’s totally fine. Though it doesn’t nail the story, that’s not really the point – the documentary footage is informative and interesting. Beyond Blue is well worth the time for those curious about the depths of the sea, and the subtle ecological lessons it teaches are valuable enough to overlook its shortcomings.

A short and satisfying dungeon crawler with a litany of skins and crazy weapon designs to unlock and slash at a variety of enemies with. Co-op makes it a great family game when you combine it with how easy the game is. It may be a little long for how simple it is, but there is still a great five-to-eight hour experience here.

You can always depend on the indie game scene to try new things, and Withering Rooms is no exception. A thoughtful implementation of the rogue-like formula into a horror scenario makes for a great combination. Combat offers an up-and-down experience that leaves an imbalance between magic and melee, especially since melee leaves you suffering cheap shots from time to time. Despite the snags along the way, Withering Rooms adds its own ideas into the genre, making this a must-buy for any fan of the spooky stuff.

#Blud is chock-full of charm, character and great writing. While being quite linear, there are things to find, explore and see. The combat evolves at a nice pace and some of the bosses are massive and enjoyable to take on. A few minor issues aside, there is a lot to like in this witty, bright and brash adventure. Plus, who doesn't like clubbing vampires with a hockey stick? I certainly do.

At just over five hours long with scope for additional playthroughs depending on whether you're sympathetic to Petrian regime, rebel against it or fall somewhere in-between, Road 96: Mile 0 belies its budget price with a surprisingly choice-stuffed narrative that doesn't match the broad calibre of Road 96 but is nonetheless still worth playing all the same.

Little Nightmares III is generally a successful sequel thanks to its refined mechanics and the integration of co-op to its particular brand of horror experience. If you've played previous Little Nightmares games, you can rest assured that Little Nightmares III will bring you another deformed slice of horror you'll be eager to lap up. However, the formula of Little Nightmares hasn't changed and although it all works wonderfully well and you shouldn't try to fix what the wrench cannot, Little Nightmares deserves something more ambitious in the future. For right now though, fill those baleful boots and enjoy this unhinged third course.

I enjoyed exploring Regis III and uncovering the various mysteries that it holds. However, while the gameplay is simple and basic, The Invincible excels in its fantastic writing and performances from main characters, Yasna and Novick. As I played through the game, I was driven deeper and deeper into its narrative until the big reveals were finally unleashed.

A faithful port of the original. GTI Club+ does what it says on the tin, nothing more, nothing less.

Shadows of the Damned plays homage to its film inspirations through an obscure and mature presentation, but the actual game mechanics lack the same sharp punch as the artistic direction.

A gentle and relaxing vet simulator for young kids, with a fair bit of content stretched out over quite a few hours wrapped up in a loveable and bright veneer. If it hooks them, they'll love the playhouse vibes and pet stroking and ignore the repetition and grinding to upgrade the clinic which would normally bother adults.

Shift Extended is a quirky and addictive platform-puzzler, though sadly doesn't provide much more than an hour's worth of entertainment.

Able to be entirely completed in just a few hours, it's certainly fair to say that Star Wars: Tales From The Galaxy's Edge Enhanced Edition is more of a morsel than a banquet and yet, it still feels compelling because of how lovingly authentic the universe of Star Wars has been replicated here. Though folks who aren't fans of Star Wars won't quite get quite so much from it, Star Wars: Tales From The Galaxy's Edge Enhanced Edition nonetheless earns its keep as an attractive showcase of what PSVR2 can do, all wrapped up in the delectable veneer of a galaxy far, far away.

Some great tracks, but value is determined by how many of them you've already downloaded.

Smash Hits is just a glorified track pack, but at least it's a damn good one.

Though RNG issues can render it punishing and solo play is not hugely captivating, For The King nonetheless states a decent case for itself as a tactical, fantasy multiplayer board game that everybody can enjoy. Get the snacks in, get the friends in and away you go.

Though King's Bounty II's presentation is certainly crumbly in ways that would only be endearing to folks partial to PS3 level jank, there still remains a compelling RPG and turn based strategy hybrid here. Bolstered by non-linear storytelling, deceptively deep world building and the sort of accessible strategy that embraces genre newcomers and stalwarts alike, King's Bounty II is a deeply appealing effort that does ample justice to its namesake.

There is a lot to enjoy about The Bridge Curse 2 The Extrication from its well written story and characters to the unique monster designs. Its just a shame those monster designs lead to a lot of boring run and hide sequences. Those who enjoyed the first game or even the movies of the same titles will surly find a lot of love here.

Mugen Souls Z is a fun RPG that doesn't try to be serious. As such, it leaves the storyline convoluted, messy, and boring to sit through. If you have the patience to get through it though, then the combat system, character customization and all the extra goodies more than make up for it.

Captures the Ghostbusters spirit without taking too many gambles.

Like Resistance: Fall of Man, The Order: 1886 comes early in a console lifecycle to set new visual benchmarks and give us creative, compelling fiction. As a game, it’s significantly less ambitious.

World of Tanks stands out from the majority of free-to-play games by being tactically deep and generally quite different to the norm. There’s nothing new for existing players, and there’s a lack of game modes that could impair the longevity of your time with it, but World of Tanks is a fine blend of simulation and competitive multiplayer that’s well worth checking out.

A scrappy but accomplished take on the whole Metroidvania shtick, Bard’s Gold marries tactical platforming action with great progression systems to create an effort that is highly worthwhile for fans of the genre.
