Boiling Bolt is a very ordinary PC shoot 'em up ported to PS4. Badly.

Active Soccer 2 DX is what happens if you copy a twenty year old game but forget to put in any pride, professionalism or playtesting. It’s better than Kick Off Revival though. And that’s what we in the business call the faintest of praise.

Feeble Light is Panda Indie Studios' worst game by some margin and feels like a poor imitation of their other shoot 'em ups.

8 to Glory is a unique bull riding title but one that offers little more than eight seconds of gameplay. Real life fans won't appreciate the basic rhythm action game mechanics and everyone else will be wondering where the rest of the game is.

We gave The Perplexing Orb: Bounce N' Roll the benefit of the doubt when we reviewed it but this sequel isn't just similar, it's basically the exact same game. With all the same problems as before and even less of a lifespan. It's a bit of a rip-off and we just can't support it.

Generic presentation and paper-thin gameplay mean that you'll be bored of this tired, retro run and gunner even before you nab the trivially easy platinum trophy.

An amateurish Survivors-like that'll last you less than an hour and will provide you with pretty much no enjoyment at all.

Island Flight Simulator doesn't do very much and what it does it doesn't do very well.

Sky Ride is an incredibly vacant experience. It lacks the basic features that you would expect a game in 2017 to have and does nothing to make up for it. You only get one game mode, one map, no menus and a predictable loop that repeats with no variety. It is incredibly shallow for the price and certainly not as exciting as it may seem on paper. Best to avoid this one.

Post War Dreams is a 2.5D run and gun shooter which doesn't do much but manages to do all of it badly. Aside from some okay graphics, there's nothing here for the developer to be proud of.

Physics-based silliness aimed at streamers and people who are amused by dismembered limbs and random deaths. Avoid otherwise.

Street Racer Underground somehow takes the concept of street racing and makes it entirely uninteresting. This game is badly conceived and the implementation is even worse.

Waves Out! Tries to evoke a sense of nostalgia with its simplistic party game concept and retro visuals, but just ends up feeling dated. The single player is vacant of challenge or ideas and the multiplayer doesn’t fare much better. One to miss.

NeverEnd then is a repetitive game with poor controls and bland graphics. As a dungeon crawler the movement is too slow and your attacks are ineffectual and unresponsive. There is little to recommend here, but on the plus side the game isn't actually broken. Unfortunately this is a powerfully bad game and not something I could suggest you pick up.

Casual Challenge Players' Club is a pool game with no AI, bad physics, poor presentation, almost non-existent campaign and, most unforgivably, it lacks any spin controls which is a move we didn't even see happen in the '80s when playing pool games on the Spectrum. This has to be the worst game in this genre.

Hex Tunnel is an unoriginal idea barely executed and then utterly ruined by some of the worst graphics we've seen in the last three generations of gaming.

The Five Covens is a student project that would be too expensive if it was priced at a fiver rather than the frankly laughable £10 it’s actually up on the PSN store for. Bad controls, bad camera, bad mechanics. Bad. We played it so you don’t have to. Spend your money on something else.

From the muddy, jagged visuals to the slow and poorly paced gameplay, Agony would suit as another circle of hell. It’s horrifying, but certainly not in the way it was intended to be.

Ultra Mission is a top-down shooter that just doesn't offer anything. It's all well and good playing the 'retro' card but this game would have underwhelmed as much in 1982 as it does in 2022. You can't ignore forty years of innovation in this genre and claim it's a love letter to it.

Joe’s Diner is about as dull in gameplay as its dimly lit environment. It’s about as by the numbers as a game about a haunted eatery can get. There are no thrills here, no scares and no reason to spend money on this game, let alone for the insulting price tag it currently has. Avoid or the grumpy spirit of native American Chieftain will get you.

Just Ignore Them may be trying to be a psychologically charged horror point-n-click title, but the only truly terrifying thing about this game is that it will steal two hours of your life that you will never get back. Cute pixel visuals betray the theme, haphazard puzzle solving frustrates and even clumsier dialogue makes for a bad time all-round.

Eekeemoo: Splinters of the Dark Shard may look good at first glance but it is the ugliest of beasts underneath. If the broken, mashing combat or the uninspired gameplay don’t get you then the horrible, unending repetitive soundtrack will.

In movie terms, if Resident Evil 4 is Citizen Kane of all Spanish-speaking, zombie-shooting survival horror games, this isn't even the straight-to-DVD rip-off. Valley of the Dead is the year one film school homework project filmed on an old iPhone by students who are failing the course.

Despite being made in 2019, Pacific Wings is objectively worse than some of the worst shoot 'em ups made in the early '80s. Which is the only interesting thing about this joyless but mercifully short excuse for a game.

Grand Prix Rock’N Racing is a burning wreck of a racing game. Devoid of excitement, enjoyment and technical merit, it feels like you are driving a car that has been filled up with bricks. Bricks that will later be used to beat you about the head and neck.

Firefighters – The Simulation is a terrible game in every regard. Its laughable to call this game a simulation, in fact its laughable to call this a game. I experienced no enjoyment in playing this and I doubt anyone else would either.

With only two tracks and a non-exaggerated game completion time of ten minutes, suggesting Ion Driver is a barebone experience would be an understatement. This initially attractive racer does nothing to further the futuristic racing genre, or do anything to make an impact beyond the nagging feeling of disappointment which permeates throughout. The experience is plagued by bugs, poor collision detection and far too many broken promises to count. Avoid.
