    Firefighters: The Simulation is a long way from being a great game, and in the state that its in now, I wouldn’t even call it a good game. But if you can look past its flaws, you’ll find a framework for something quite fascinating. I just hope that updates, or maybe a sequel, eventually do that framework justice. I’d love to see what a truly finished version of Firefighters: The Simulation would look like.

    Firefighters – The Simulation is a terrible game in every regard. Its laughable to call this game a simulation, in fact its laughable to call this a game. I experienced no enjoyment in playing this and I doubt anyone else would either.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Die Idee dahinter das Feuerwehrleben zu simulieren kann eigentlich nur gut werden. Oder doch nicht? Naja, das Spiel "Firefighters: The Simulation" auf der PS4 war nicht sonderlich gut. Die Grafik war nicht gerade atemberaubend und dass obwohl die PS4 dazu fähig war bessere Grafik darzustellen und der PC-Ableger diese auch hatte. Das Spiele-Konzept war auch nicht gerade der Renner: Man hatte nur begrenzt Zeit, um zu einem Einsatz zu fahren (es ist zwar logisch, dass man nicht so lange brauchen soll, aber bestraft werden sollte es auch nicht). Ich bin nämlich mal durch einen Bug bei einer Leitplanke steckengeblieben und konnte nicht mehr weiterfahren. Außerdem ist die Physik der Fahrzeuge sehr, sehr schlecht. Das Einzige, was ich loben kann, ist die Funktionsweise der einzelnen Geräte (aber das sollte auch selbstverständlich sein, wenn man einen Feuerwehr-Simulator baut). Alles in allem ist der Titel zwar vielversprechend (genauso wie das Cover), aber das Spiel an sich konnte nicht ganz so überzeugen.… Expand

    You start with the service truck and you make your way up the ranks to new vehicles by completing tasks around the open world…
    And it feels like youre actually doing a job..
    It’s slow... you have to do the monotonous things like clean your truck when its dirty, make sure youre stocked up on fuel...
    Go to areas and deal with the same hazards…
    And all of this is actually a good thing in terms of this feeling like an actual simulation…
    However the mechanics and the gameplay are no good…
    The game is ugly... it has pop in issues…
    Items like bushes are solid while you can drive right through people and cars…
    solving the issues are slow…
    when you drive into water or run out of gas your shift auto ends and you lose all of your points you racked up…
    There are no epic rescues of people or even cats going on…
    Just a bunch of pointing and spraying if youre lucky.. Otherwise you’re doing sample collecting...
    There’s also a bit of a game breaking bug here because of the weird solid issue going on…
    My truck got stuck in the map.. I couldn’t back up... theres no way to reset your car...
    I thought maybe I’ll back into the menu... and to my surprise the game didn’t autosave so I lost all of my progress and that was it for me…
    So im not even sure if backing out and going back in would’ve fixed it…
    Fire Fighters The Simulation is pretty good for feeling like you’re doing a 9-5 job…
    But there was an extreme lack of effort to turn this into an actual modern day game
