The weird mix of platforming and pinball works wonderfully well which is completely unexpected. The result is an entertaining title which sets itself apart due to its distinctive visuals and while the physics can get a bit wonky from time to time, the amount of content is considerable. An original title and a lot of fun guaranteed.

The main characters, the story, the choices, the moral dilemmas, the audio, the overall experience...it all comes together in one fantastic package. Quantic Dream's Detroit is not only the studio's best game, it also raises the bar for the genre.

Conan Exile's gameplay is a lot of fun whether you're playing by yourself or with other people. It's also extremely addictive which makes the game worth your time. It provides a decent challenge with a lot of different features and the developer promises to incrementally add new content which is great news. The game could benefit from some optimization since the game suffers from considerable frame drops and other technical glitches which negatively affect your enjoyment.

Although Tacoma's unique method of storytelling in itself should make it worth playing, the urgency of the narrative is never really felt. Without the highs and lows, it all falls a bit flat. The puzzles are great fun but the game length does leave something to be desired. The graphical glitches during use of the elevator pull you out of the experience entirely which is a shame.

The roguelike space shooter from ROCKfish games successfully blasts its way onto the PlayStation 4. Everspace successfully merges concepts from big hitters such as Elite Dangerous, No Man's Sky and FTL: Faster Than Light and it's procedurally generated universe never gets old. It can get a bit grindy from time to time and the lack of VR support is somewhat of a bummer. Nevertheless, sci-fi lovers in particular will get a lot of enjoyment out of this.

The concept of cooperative racing where you need to paint lanes in order to get a speed boost is pretty original. The game would be way more fun though if your AI opponents wouldn't be as dumb as they are. Trailblazers can also get a little bit frustrating due to some strange course design decisions.

The game revives the classic beat 'm up genre which makes this game a fun title for lovers of this particular type of game. If you like a your games to kick you in the teeth with a high level of difficulty, you can't go wrong with Raging Justice either. That being said, the game doesn't stand out enough in any particular area to make it an instant classic. Good fun if you like this genre.

Shooting at everything that remotely resembles the Zed is entertaining enough in VR although repetition rears its head after a short while. The coop action is capable and audio-visually the game is fine although it never really stands out in anything it tries to accomplish. Teleportation as a means to move around is a bit of a bummer and the fact that you automatically drop some guns is something you'll never get used to. The puzzles are far too easy. Killing Floor: Incursion is a okay shooter but it doesn't distinguish itself enough from the crowd.

A game that needs to be played in an old school manner and -ironically- is all the better for it. The story is the main focal point and luckily the game does not disappoint in this department. In fact, we feel everybody should experience it - it really is that special. From an audiovisual standpoint there is nothing worth noting in particular but don't be deceived: Forgotten Anne is an original and beautiful title that deserves every minute of your time.

Guns of Icarus is a hell of a lot of fun when playing online because of the required teamwork. There's plenty of ships to choose from which provides some highly needed variation. Audio-visually the game is a letdown and the AI is very dumb. The game also suffers from plenty of bugs that really need fixing sometime soon if you want to keep enjoying it. Apart from these gripes however, the game is still pretty entertaining.

This updated 4K version of the 2013 release is great fun. The handcrafted graphics will blow your mind and the game does a great job of fusing together different genres. Online or local 4-player multiplayer is an absolute treat and hat's off to Vanillaware for enabling cross generational cross play features. The story is a bit stale and the online component is only made available after a couple of hours of single player campaign, which is a weird decision. This game is highly recommended provided you don't have either the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita version.

The game successfully fuses different genres together. Each new adventure presents you with randomly selected levels which do a great job of conveying the sense of survival. The longer you spend with the game however, the more its flaws become apparent. Luck plays a big part in whether or not you'll survive a little bit longer and the level of difficulty is anything but consistent. When repetition sets in after a while, you'll soon want to forget going to Canada altogether.

A solid arcade baseball game that has a lot more depth than you'd initially expect. It is very accessible at the same time, which makes it a fun title for hardcore fans of the sport and casual players alike. The addition of an online mode is great since that feature was missing in the original release. Besides that, this sequel is mainly more of the same.

A very capable farming simulator that offers enough entertainment value for long sessions while still having deep mechanics. From a technical standpoint it's all pretty bare bones; the graphics are average at best and the physics are very limited. The game does feel very complete and because of the great tutorial you'll understand everything that goes into managing your own farm in no time. Love farming? Then you'll like this one.

Time Carnage shouldn't be faulted for its technical aspects since those are absolutely solid. Where the title does fall flat on its back is in the generic design - it lacks any standout feature to make it distinguish itself from the ocean of available stationary VR wave shooters. Boredom sets in a couple of minutes after picking up your motion controllers and that can never be a good thing. Skip this game and choose one of the many (better) alternatives available on the PlayStation VR platform.

It's been a long time coming but Owlboy has finally landed on PlayStation 4 and we are more than glad it did. The music is phenomenal. Gameplay is varied and entertaining and the boss fights especially never cease to amaze and surprise. Towards the end of the game the challenge does become a bit too steep occasionally but don't let that stop you from playing this game because Owlboy is worth every minute of your precious time.

Porting the game to the PlayStation 4 after a successful PC Kickstarter project pays off relatively well. Although the controls aren't really suited to the DualShock controller the story managed to captivate us. The game is challenging and the voice-acting is solid. Combat can sometimes be a drawn-out borefest and the game suffers from repetitiveness somewhat but generally you won't mind since it still manages to entertain.

Kratos has returned in a beautiful new adventure. Forget all previous iterations, this game sets the new franchise standard in which story, combat and exploration are expertly interwoven in spectacular fashion. The game looks and plays stellar while the voice acting is of mind-blowing quality. Atreus is a great addition and together with the new approach to gameplay the latest PlayStation 4 God of War game feels like a breath of fresh air. An unmissable must-play.

World of Warriors is a pretty entertaining title which excels in coop gameplay. Tactical gameplay isn't really required since button bashing your way through the game works just as well, although this quickly results in repetitive gameplay. The choice in lots of different characters negates this repetition somewhat but ultimately it never really excels in anything. A forgettable title which soon wears thin.

Island Time VR's mascot Carl (voiced by Kinda Funny's Greg Miller) can't save this game from mediocrity. The game doesn't belong on PlayStation VR as it painfully reminds us of the platform's well-known technical limitations such as limited tracking capabilities and limited control options. The game often feels unfair because of the lackluster controls and when repetition sets in, you wish you were playing something else instead. The price for PlayStation users is higher than the PC version with no optimization to show for it which is inexcusable.

A fun release with a huge amount of tracks which will entertain franchise fans for a long time to come. The difficulty is pretty steep though which means that this game isn't suited to casual of players looking for a quick fix. If you're familiar with this franchise and if you're skills are up to snuff then you will have a great time playing DJMax Respect. Graphically the game is bit unambitious though, which makes for a pretty boring setting.

The original was a perfectly good game and this remastered version doesn't bring anything new to the table. Neither does it improve the original in any way, shape or form. The technical issues combined with the repetitive gameplay dull the experience. Other issues we encountered were faulty controls and a less than optimal user interface. In the future, all of our gripes might be solved by some major updates but as it stands this game is a mess.

Far Cry 5's setting is stellar and good for a tremendous amount of entertaining gameplay. Whether it be the main story, side missions or random activities, you won't get bored anytime soon in Montana's Hope Country. The game does owe a lot to its predecessors but ups the ante creatively in many respects. Also, the Seed family is a phenomenal group of antagonists.

The game offers a unique and interesting setting which as a whole offers a very satisfying experience. The story is a puzzle in its own right which elevates the game to a level it would not have attained otherwise. The game simply takes hold of you and doesn't let go. The puzzles are a bit on the easy side though and the length of the game leaves something to be desired as well. In the end, these points of concern don't really matter because you'll like this game regardless.

Hazelight redefines coop with this game, a unique and creative title in many different ways. The split camera is something we haven't seen before and in terms of gameplay there is plenty of variety to be found here. Both characters are very colorful and interesting and as a consequence the story is great. And although the main story seems to cave in little by little as you progress, the game concludes with a bonafide bang. A Way Out is unique, original and very special. We only wish that there were more games like it.

This party game is great fun regardless of your age and the entry barrier is very low. However, the game quickly becomes repetitive since the amount of content in the form of different types of mini games is lacking given the price of admission. Typing with a controller - and you'll be doing lots of that- doesn't work properly and is extremely frustrating. Sandbox mode is way too limited and that is a shame.

Clearly the best PlayLink title to date with enjoyable and original mini games, great support for your smart phone and a beautiful visual style to accompany the hilarious gameplay. As with any PlayLink title, this game is best experienced with friends since the AI can sometimes make some weird, irrational choices.

Although the story is sometimes a bit vague and predictable, the puzzles are anything but. This game is a looker with a fantastic atmosphere and there is plenty content for you to experience. If you played and loved titles such as Portal or The Talos Principle this title is absolutely recommended.

This game is so much better than all previous iterations and every aspect of this title is so well executed that the game as a package is, well, unmissable. Great mini games, fantastic humor, an awesome story, exhilarating combat and a plethora of technical improvements. We could go one forever about the things that Yakuza does right. The bottom line is this; Yakuza 6 is hands down the epitome of the franchise and a great excuse to get into this franchise if you haven't before.

Don't be deceived by first impressions , The Long Reach is a very mature and impressive adventure thanks to some powerful storytelling and some great story twists. The atmosphere makes this game a real joy to play. Even though some of the puzzles are a little bit far-fetched, it doesn't detract from the overall experience. Absolutely worth it.
