Dripping with atmosphere, Mafia offers a strong story with engaging characters, great voice-acting and an intriguing setting. The game does fine in the gameplay department as well, but strafing feels a bit clunky and there's quite a bit of screen-tearing to spoil your fun. You'll still have a good time, though.

Not quite a worthy addition to the survival genre, mainly due to its excruciatingly slow combat system and a rather large amount of technical issues. It's a shame, cause if you persevere, you'll find quite a lot of dept hand atmosphere in Windbound.

Jack is back, with a story fans will love, a welcome return of the original voice cast and surprisingly deep gameplay. The graphics are plain ugly though and the price tag rather steep, especially if you consider the game's short length.

Traditional point & click gameplay with a healthy dose of trial-and-error... Darkestville Castle is definitely worth playing. Its funny story alone should be experienced. At times, though, the game's a bit too clumsy in its execution to warrant a higher score.

Fans of the source material will appreciate the effort put into this, though the game's slow and counter-intuitive controls will probably leave even them with a bad taste in their mouths.

If you're a fan of Marvel's superhero universe, you'll frequently feel like a kid in a candy store. But after a while even the most diehard Avengers groupie will have to admit that the game gets rather repetitive... and suffers from a number of technical issues to boot.

Descenders isn't exactly the prettiest or most varied game out there. But as a virtual downhill experience in this day and age, you can't do much better than this game.

Vicarious Visions delivers what everyone wished for and then some. Offering classic gameplay with some necessary tweaks and innovations, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is a phenomenal experience, worth playing for fans of the old games and newcomers alike.

An intriguing world and challenging, varied gameplay make for a worthwhile experience. If you're a fan of the Soulsborne games, you'll most definitely like this. There are, however, some annoyances, chief among which the low number of savepoints and slow walking speed of your character.

FIFA Street, this ain't. Street Power Football is nothing more than a series of mediocre minigames, and none of them feel even remotely like you're playing football. Add less than stellar animations and a steep price tag, and you'll realize Street Power Football just isn't worth your hard-earned money.

The whole thing's drenched in the moody atmosphere of the TV show, which in and of itself makes sure any fan of the series will feel right at home. The unique spin on tactical gameplay is also very much worth experiencing.

Some bugs and the inconsistent batting mechanic can cause quite a bit of frustration, though it never breaks the experience. Challenging, yet accessible, the actual gameplay turns out to be a lot of fun. The ability to create your own courts is a nice extra.

Forget simulation, Project CARS 3 goes in a different direction and provides a more arcadelike experience. While this will definitely be a letdown to longtime fans of the franchise, in and of itself the game nevertheless manages to be great at what it tries to do.

A great atmosphere and challenging puzzles make Creaks quite the enjoyable experience. You'll have to endure clumsy controls and a rather mundane story, though.

A decent improvement over its predecessor, with a bulky career mode and enjoyable multiplayer. The controls are still hit-and-miss, though. Overall, still not enough to lift this fighting game out of the mists of mediocrity.

There's a lot to like here. The grimm, mysterious atmosphere, for one. Ron Perlman's lived-in voice-overs, for another. On top of that, the intense shootouts are often incredibly enjoyable. All of this makes the flawed technical execution all the more disappointing. Bugs and glitches, as well as an annoying camera, keep West of Dead from reaching the lofty heights it aims for.

A skating game never had better and more realistic controls. Unfortunately, the world you're skating in feels bare-bones and often just empty. The lack of an overarching goal turns playing into a chore after a while. It's a real shame, because Skater XL's actual gameplay shows a lot of promise.

A strong sense of atmosphere and occasionally enjoyable combat go a long way toward making a game great. When you add disappointing graphics, a severe lack of variation and a number of flat-out boring sidequests, however, this just isn't enough to justify the price tag.

An enjoyable hero shooter, especially with a couple of friends in your party. Not every mode is successful, though... and whether Rocket Arena will stand the test of time remains to be seen.

The entire concept will still bring a smile to your face, especially when you consider the drastically improved graphics. The game is severely outdated, though, which is mostly noticeable when you're actually playing it. This could - and perhaps should - have been better.

Maid of Sker is at its best in its opening hours, when the sightless enemies are still threatening and the dark halls of the titular hotel loom large. After a while, though, you get used to the main offerings, while any attempts at creativity have mixed results.

Tannenberg isn't the best looking, most impressive sounding or most accessible game on the market. It is, however, a lovingly crafted, mercilessly authentic take on World War I combat that will leave any history buff breathless.

Ghost of Tsushima isn’t perfect, due to a clumsy lock-on system and repetitive mission design, though at times it comes damn close. It’s a truly beautiful adventure with a strong lead character, deep combat and an engaging world. Definitely worth picking up.

Lots of charm and lots of content, still worth the investment if you’re a nostalgic soul, looking for a fresh dose of bikini bottom action. Some aspects - the amount of texture pop-in, to name one - undeniably feel a bit dated, though.

Big environments make for superb hunting grounds, if you’re willing to overlook the repetitive nature and many unrealistic aspects of the game. We weren’t.

A lack of modes and the presence of bugs keep this hyper-realistic simulation game from truly soaring. It’s worth the investment, though - especially if you own a steering wheel controller.

The newest virtual F1 iteration will keep you playing for a long time, thanks mainly to its deep, yet accessible gameplay and the added splitscreen feature. The MyTeam mode is worth mentioning as well, because it’s a great addition. Less impressive are the graphics and audio design (some commentator bugs and interviews); these aspects of the game leave some room for improvement next year.

Being Iron Man looks, feels and plays great, even if long loading times and a steep learning curve kill the joy a bit. One of PS VR’s most engrossing titles, nevertheless.
