inFamous is a weird game – it’s entertaining and well developed, but lacks polish. Even though it’s really enjoyable, for the most part, it’s great but feels rough around the edges.

It's overly complex, cliquey and not exactly the kind of thing you expect to see running on a PS3. [Issue#182, p.78]

Undisputed is gorgeous to look at, it’s incredibly deep, and it’s one of the most addictive fighters we’ve played in ages. Yuke’s deserves high praise, and that is exactly what we intend to give it.

Its skillful mix of old-school platforming and 3D gameplay is unique enough to set it apart from the competition, just don't expect to be totally blown away. [Issue#179, p.74]

Given half a chance, Sacred 2 will swallow your life. You’ll find a highly enjoyable experience here – if a little rough around the edges. But it’s compelling stuff nonetheless.

Possibly the worst game of this generation. It’s broken, infused with ill-judged and unfunny humour, and devoid of any enjoyable gameplay. You’re better off playing GTA IV while reading Nuts.

Patapon 2 is still pretty good fun and definitely not like many other video games out there. If you can match the beats and you don’t get too frustrated when you miss one then you’re in for a great tactical rhythm-based game.

Perhaps the greatest achievement here is the way the gameplay evokes the sensation of being Wolverine.

Strikeforce serves as a refreshing direction for the series, one that will that will no doubt attract a few new fans. However, it can be unfairly punishing, so make sure you’ve got some mates to lend a hand.

While it's not impossible to see why this series is so popular, each iteration fails to differentiate itself enough, and its poor gameplay, woeful design and awful sound repeatedly fails to impress. [Issue#176, p.92]

Ugly in every sense of the word. There’s almost nothing remotely likeable about Godfather II, and it’s glitchy and scruffy. One of the poorest EA games in a long time.

The whole point of this carnage, of course, is to survive as long as possible and rack up enough points to dominate your leaderboard of choice. It’s as old-school a premise as any game can have, but at least Burn Zombie Burn’s comedy weapons make the whole thing jolly god fun as a bonus.

A brave attempt to tackle the strategy genre in a new way, but Stormrise is still left wanting in every area. If you’re looking for a brand new RTS, check out the more conventional Red Alert 3 instead.

A fun, and occasionally tense videogame, Red Alert 3 welcomes genre newcomers and casual gamers alike. However, C&C fans and real-time strategy stalwarts that get to grips with the controls may find the action a little bit lightweight.

Resistance: Retribution comes off feeling like it’s stuck between the PS3 and PSP, not knowing which way to go. Get past its faults and there is some solid shooting to be had, but we can’t help but wonder what it could have been.

Due to the arguably archaic control scheme and the co-op aspect, Resi 5 isn’t for everybody. Then again, we love it, and we’ve been playing Resident Evil for over a decade; if you’re one of us, then Resident Evil 5 will suit you perfectly.
