The only real gripe against the game is that the control isn’t as intuitive as it can be. There are many options in a given situation, and the game still relies on the same context-sensitive menu system, which is a bit cumbersome.

The game’s multiplayer mode adds a lot of replay value, though. This and the excellent presentation make Syphon Filter one of the best games on its series and one of the best games available on the PSP.

Bully is the type of game that only a company like Rockstar Games could pull off. It’s undeniably well produced, pushes the envelope as to what is possible in videogames, and remains unquestionably fun.

Its excellent presentation and quick missions make it a perfect fit for the PlayStation Portable. There’s a rather steep learning curve, especially if you are new to the series, but it is worth diving into.

The scope and magnitude of Call of Duty and particularly this expansion are most important. Gray Matter Studios did upgrade the engine a bit as explosions and other particle effects (like smoke and dirt) are more vivid this time around.

Resistance 2 is a fantastic game. It’s one of the best shooters available on the PlayStation 3 and one of the console’s strongest exclusives.

The gameplay is stellar, something that is only made better by the kick-ass graphics.

The level design is solid in Pandora Tomorrow, although the PS2’s levels are hampered by simpler, less-detailed designs than its Xbox counterpart.

The game manages to take the best features of the series, shrink it into portable form, squeeze every ounce out of the PSP, and deliver a compelling experience.

Patapon is a wonderful experience. It’s a rare novel idea that only comes along so often and shows the potential of the PSP.

Ultimately, all of Guitar Hero World Tour’s components come together extremely well.

Fight Night round 3 doesn’t radically change the series but the gameplay is so incredibly solid that the game is still heavily recommended.

When it is all said and done, though, Tales of Symphonia will provide Gamecube gamers fifty to eighty hours of solid, battle-happy role playing goodness.

Vice City Stories won’t make you a believer in the franchise if you didn’t understand why people play Grand Theft Auto so avidly. However, for the millions of us that do, having a new story and an excuse to spend more time in Vice City is more than enough.

The game’s resource management, battles and particularly factions are wonderful and provide much depth to the game without ever overdoing it.

As a single-player game, alone, GRAW 2’s four-to-five hour campaign is short even by new-gen standards. However, when you toss in multiplayer and keep in mind that the original GRAW is still one of the most popular Xbox Live games, the game becomes a much better investment.

Skate’s intuitive control scheme won’t be for everyone but those that give it a shot will experience some of the most fulfilling gaming moments of any sports game.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is undoubtedly the best game in the series. The amazing soundtrack, superb wireless guitar, subtle tweaks, and excellent online multiplayer are exactly what fans have been wanting from the series.

Guitar Hero 5 is the ultimate party game. The solid, addicting Guitar Hero gameplay has been made even more accessible and compelling with all of the new additions Neversoft has added for this version.

If you're a fan of the franchise, genre, or good games, you owe it to yourself to pick this game up.
