The actual gameplay doesn’t deviate much from your typical beat-em-up, which becomes monotonous and repetitive at the end of the game’s nine or so hours.

While there is nothing particularly wrong with it, it just doesn’t do much beyond what is expected in terms of actual gameplay.

While its choice of platform is question, if you were dying to have play a strategy RPG on the road, you don’t have to wait any longer.

Rainbow Islands Revolution makes great use of the touch screen, aside from being a fun and addicting puzzler.

When it is all said and done, Scaler isn't much more than your functional, slightly-but-not-much above average platformer. For $20, there are certainly worst buys and the game would complement perfectly "Ty 2" and "Tak 2" for a platform-hungry younger gamer.

The only reason you'll finish this game is for the story. I know it right off the bat. The gameplay is lame and uninspired. It is way too easy and the level design is extremely linear.

Obscure doesn’t attempt to do anything different. Hydravision is comfortable with crafting a respectable survival horror game and Obscure fits that profile well.

When it comes down to it, King of Fighters: Maximum Impact isn’t a particularly memorable fighting game on its own merits.

Unless you're tired of World War II games or really require your flight games to have extremely realistic controls, there is a lot to like in Heroes of the Pacific.

The gameplay is very similar to previous games. If you haven’t played any, that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

On the GBA, Jimmy Neutron: Attack of the Twonkies doesn’t distinguish itself as much as it does on the console versions. Nonetheless, the game remains a solid platformer with enough variety to keep the game interesting.

Samurai Shodown V isn't the best looking or most refined fighter available, but it does work well enough including a fully functional online mode.

And1 Streetball has some good ideas like the pulling off juke moves with the analog stick but unfortunately some technical errors are too much to ignore.

Lair is a tough game to rate. One on hand, the game is absolutely gorgeous and easily justifies the thousands of dollars spent on the latest home theater equipment. On the other hand, the gameplay is so fundamentally broken that it’s difficult to imagine anyone sticking with Lair through its ending.

Its portrayal of the card game is fun in its own away and pretty accurate, as well. If the whole monster fighting thing eluded you, chances are that Duel Masters isn't going to change your mind.

Heroes of the Pacific isn’t really a sim in any stretch of the word. That said, the game plays well, has a pretty good online mode, and provides a satisfying single player mode.

Only the most diehard Pokemon fans should ever consider picking this game up. The gameplay isn’t especially interesting, the game makes poor use of the Nintendo DS hardware, and the presentation is seriously outdated.

The gameplay is tight enough and the presentation is good, ensuring that fans of The Incredibles will get their money’s worth. For everyone else though, there are better NDS titles available.

It is fun for the same reason that something like Serious Sam is fun to play: the simplicity of it all. Fans of previous games may be a little turned off by the new arcade-like gameplay, though.

Best $10 game of all time? Probably.

The single-player modes are marred by questionable AI which removes much of the intensity and in effect, fun, of playing the game.
