    Genesis Alpha One
    The graphics are good, if a little bland, and even though the movement feels too fast for my taste, it also succeeds at being a solid shooter. I think it’s safe to say that the three-man team behind Genesis Alpha One has done an excellent job of succeeding at pretty much everything they set out to do. It’s no small feat to make a game that does so many things this well, so the game is assuredly worth checking out.

    Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair
    Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is a really strong platformer with good level design and excellent visuals. Certain aspects of the game don't mix well together, but it's a good time overall.

    Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector
    Aside from some doubts about the balance and the AI, and some Warhammer-specific quibbles, Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is a great Blood Angels experience.

    Minoria is another strong game from Bombservice. Although it isn't necessarily better than their last, it's an enjoyable experience with great controls, good art, and an interesting story.

    Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One
    With a strong narrative and exceptional investigation mechanics, Sherlock Holmes Chapter One manages to one-up its predecessors. Sadly, it also doesn't reach its full potential, though we can hope that future titles are more in-depth.

    WWE 2K19
    WWE 2K may have been a B+ franchise for a long time, but WWE 2K19 has shown that its creators have learned from past shortcomings. In many ways, we’re seeing the culmination of half a decade’s worth of trials and tribulations, leading to one of the best offerings in the series. As Roman Reigns would say: “Buh-lee dat!”

    Star Wars: Squadrons
    Overall, Star Wars: Squadrons should delight even the most jaded among the community. Doing a bombing run in a Y-Wing is among the best experiences I’ve ever had in VR. The game has a little bit of everything for everyone, and it should especially be embraced by those who still remember fighting among the stars more than two decades ago.

    American Truck Simulator: Washington
    Experience the natural beauty of the Evergreen State Washington, from its Pacific Coast beaches to snowcapped mountain ranges and bustling cities such as Seattle and Spokane. Washington is covered by large amounts of forestland, alongside many other diverse biomes. It is also home to some of America's largest industries and businesses and is the leading producer of many fruits and vegetables.

    Earth Defense Force 5
    Earth Defense Force 5 is very familiar, but it's the best game in the series and a huge amount of fun. Fans of action games will find a whole lot to enjoy with this one.

    The warm drinks you brew are as warm and satisfying as the atmosphere this game induces. Coffee Talk Episode 2 continues to be a relaxing and enjoyable drink-making game, while also having intriguing stories and interesting characters.

    Total War: Three Kingdoms - A World Betrayed
    Although there are some questionable mechanics and odd issues on the side, Total War: Three Kingdoms - A World Betrayed manages to excite and challenge you, all while adding refreshing features via a free update. If you only need to choose one Total War: Three Kingdoms DLC, A World Betrayed definitely surpasses Mandate of Heaven and Eight Princes.

    Ultimate Fishing Simulator
    If your specs are up to par, I’d definitely recommend picking this up if you enjoy fishing whether virtually or in real life. It has a few rough edges, but this is still an all-around great fishing sim.

    Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 is fast, flashy fun that fans of 2D action platformers will almost certainly enjoy. Just make sure you play the first game, otherwise, you'll likely be totally lost.

    A solid, speedy, brutal, and surprisingly lengthy campaign combine with an intriguing map-making facility to make Doom a pretty easy recommendation. The multiplayer may not grab you, but there's plenty of content here without it.

    Ori and the Will of the Wisps is aesthetically brilliant and offers familiar challenges with a new twist. An expansive world filled with interactive NPCs gives you plenty of game for your buck, making this a must for newbies and die-hards alike. Implementation of anticipated patches would bump this score up to a 9.

    Judicial administrator for the Court of an all-powerful Imperial Overlord is one hell of a premise and driving force for an RPG. Tyranny pulls it off, thanks to Obsidian’s reliable attention to world design and a dedication to ambitious, branching choices.

    Life is Strange
    A beautiful, heartbreaking, and surprisingly dark Telltale-esque adventure that betters pretty much every Telltale-esque adventure that's come before it and has enough twists to make it unique. Life is Strange has a few flaws, but that shouldn't dissuade you from hopping on this emotional rollercoaster. And it's okay: you're allowed to cry.

    Boxed In (2017)
    I’ve had a thoroughly enjoyable time playing Boxed In but it could do with another game mode of some sort, but at the cheap price of £4.79, it’s well worth the money. Boxed In is challenging and it has me coming back for more to beat my scores. Well worth a look if you have a Vive or Rift.

    Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
    Ancestors is a great step forward for the survival genre. It has all the pieces you'd expect, including water and food requirements but also a few unique ones. All of these tie into the game in a much better way than in most other survival games. Plus, its narrative of guiding humankind through its early evolution in prehistoric Africa makes for a great story to play in a beautiful place to do it.
