While I’m on the subject, why haven’t video games gotten any better at portraying women fairly? The rest of our culture has seemingly improved in this regard, but the gaming subculture seems to be getting worse and worse.

A lot of fun and the depth of features is beyond compare. Easily one of the most immersive football titles made to date.

From a simulation perspective, the game suffers because there is no way to control the pace of the fight. The jab and the straight cross have very little effect on the computer so you are forced to get in close and throw uppercuts and hooks the entire time.

PureSim has some of the best graphics for a text-based game. The interfaces are beautiful and look like they have been worked on. The game screen is by far the best.

With all of the features and fun that Slugfest has, the game has a problem with longevity. After you have unlocked all of the extras there really isn’t much else to play for.

This game suffers from a terrible case of rubber-band AI and forces you to finish first to move on. Had this not been the case it could have been another instant classic.

Outlaw Golf is a golf game that relies too heavily on gimmicks and forgets about simple things that should be standard in a golf game (simulation or arcade) like the lie affecting the ball.

No story line in single mode is another turn off, but multiplayer is a blast.

It has great ideas but executes it horribly.

Poor control with one camera angle does not make a great game. You can have all the features in the world but if you don’t enjoy the gameplay then it was all for not.

Even with the flaws, this looks and feels like baseball and I look forward to playing it, and for me that is the mark of a good game.

Not as deep as "Out of the Park," but some people might like a more simple game. If you are looking to sim a bunch of seasons a night and not worry about drafts and other little things, then Baseball Mogul is for you.

I’m sorry to say but FIFA World Cup 2002 is game to catch consumers when they get cup fever rather a game to provide the ultimate World Cup experience.

I enjoyed playing the game but the re-playability with only one player is limited, unless you really like the challenge of unlocking teams and stadiums.

By far the best racing game I’ve ever played on a console.

The gameplay in this game would rate over a 90 but the lack of a good camera angle hampers that score.

There’s no doubt that World Rally Championship is the best rally game on the PS2 to date, but it will also disappoint as many people as it impresses.

Not fun. If you are looking for a baseball game that involves any thought process more complicated than, “throw the ball, hit the ball”, I suggest you look elsewhere.

This is the perfect game to play when you have a buddy or two over and want to get in a quick 30 minute beatdown of them.

EA Sports Big has once again delivered the big air, big stunts, big hits, and big competition we have come to know and love them for.

RalliSport could very well be the racing game of the year. The only reason it doesn't go into our Hall of Fame is for the lack of customization and a little more "sim" options.

Yes Knockout Kings 2002 might be more considered a button masher/arcade game than a strategic sim, but bottom line, it’s one enjoyable game.

The best baseball game around period. Graphics can only do so much and this simulation is top notch in gameplay and delivery. If you are an avid baseball fan you need to check out this game.

Visual Concepts has started their series on the Xbox in outstanding fashion. If you are looking for the best the series has to offer, I suggest you go out and get this game.

The game just looks fantastic...a great game, but not an excellent representation of baseball.

If the developers can put as much emphasis on gameplay as they do in the franchise mode, this series might actually become something noteworthy.

The nice thing is, unlike FIFA, you don't see the spectacular move all that often, so when you do you really appreciate it even more.

A great playing and pretty game to look at. Yet, this game could have been so much more with the addition of a career mode.

The single player will eventually get repetitive after going through Hold the Court and City Circuit modes but if you are into multiplayer this is a can’t miss game.

I know that I'll be racing N02 online for quite some time, and it's the new crown jewel of online racing sims.

The fun factor in this game is through the roof.

This game may have a Bulldog face that only it’s mother may love, but once you get past the mediocre graphics you will love it too. It’s magnificent gameplay on the field and customizable options off it, make it the console baseball game to beat.

This game is for the long multiplayer sessions with friends looking for something less challenging game than your standard simulation.

Replay Value is absolutely zero.

The only thing I could say is that I wanted to go off and play "Track n Field" to get my Olympic fill.

While not revolutionary as other "Sim" games it does a great job of what it is supposed to do...a fun experience.

Looks and plays sort of how I envisioned a meld of "NBA Live" and "NBA2k2."

While this game is incredibly deep in a lot of areas, it falls just short in delivering an addictive must have snowboarding title.

When you continually get dunked on, or miss “gimme” jump shots, frustration sets in and you start to wonder if it is me or the game? I am having a lot of fun finding out though.

There is some room for improvement in the AI and the features, but when it comes to creating the illusion that you are really playing football, this is the game.

Where's the Ultimate Warrior, Ric Flair, Dave Boy Smith, Hakeem the African Dream, Bushwhackers, Killer Bees, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Big John Studd, Andre the Giant, and others?

It's both fun and completely ridiculous at times. It's fun because you can move the ball and score big, but as time goes on, even on the Hall of Fame level with the IQ and CPU sliders maxed out it is still too easy to move the ball.

Few arcade type racing titles are created with the entertaining gameplay and great presentation this game possesses...Unfortunately it lacks length.

The individual control of this game is unmatched. Player movement is lightning fast and incredibly responsive.

A snowboarders game. Graphically it's not going to blow your mind, but with a deep career mode and wicked tricks you will get your money's worth. Plus, this game is more about snowboarding than "SSX Tricky."

The game doesn’t double fault, but it sure does have a bunch of 'lets'.

It doesn't matter who's on the boards but the ball always seems to go to the nearest offensive player.

If you loved Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 or 2 on any other system, and you are a PS2 owner, this is a must have.

What's missing is fun, while Madden plays the closest representation of football (still a ways to go), it needs to interject the passion of the NFL into the game.

I believe the career mode could take a lesson from Madden. It seems the sponsers would be more fun if the negotiations were more like the free agent signings in Madden.

Simply put the biggest problem with this game is that even on the All-Pro level it’s just too easy.

The game play is very solid. The game is very fluid as you make a string of passes to the left and right to get over the try line for a "try". The kicking game is also very well done...If you are not knowledgeable about Rugby, do not buy this game!!!

Very addicting--I couldn't put the controls down.

The best thing to do would be to take the ExtraTime stadiums, scenarios mode and gameplay and merge it with FIFA's incredible play by play and graphics.

This game has gotten a serious bad rap!...Once I tweaked the settings, I thought this game played as good as any hockey game that I’ve seen.

Gameplay is a definite mixed bag but I think there is more good than bad, and it's a great game, if you can get past the quirky bugs.

This game really needs to be SEEN in ACTION to fully appreciate what an outstanding effort EA put forth in this game.

The fighting system is horrible. When is the last time that Jaromir Jagr fought Sandy McCarthy? Yeah that’s going to happen!

This is the very first basketball game in which I have ever, and I mean ever been able to get realistic numbers while playing a full game using 12-minute quarters.

Not only looks amazing, but it plays an excellent game of the sport as well.

If playing pool in real life were as awkward and non-intuitive as Real Pool is, then I probably would never play in real life, either!

Replay value like no other game that I’ve played to date.

I really wanted to like this game. I just can’t. The game feels rushed and is totally uninspiring.

I think that they have, and not only have they finally gotten a button mashing game on the right track, they found a way to present it in a fashion where the player can not only enjoy the game, but have you coming back for more in the long run.

The gameplay is nothing special, but not terrible either. The graphics and audio however are well below what we should expect on this system.

No longer is the NHL series just an arcade game. Finally, us die-hard hockey fans have a simulation/game to be proud of.

Definitely justifies the purchase of a PS2.

I love the draft idea and the impact that a GM can have on the finances of the team. However, the unrealistic simulated stats are a huge roadblock right now, but all that repairing that requires is some tweaking by the programming team.

The game does have its flaws and a robust feel to it, but knowing the dedication of the .400 software team and their timely updates and dedication to the franchise, I am eagerly awaiting the second edition.
