Killzone 3 is one spectacular game - sure, it's really only doing the basics in terms of gameplay, but it does it in the balls-to-the-walls, damn-the-expense, ultra-intensity manner that only a top-shelf, big-budget, mega-spectacular can.- NZGamer

Frustratingly, there is a perfectly good game lost in there somewhere. It should be a polished, sleek and enjoyable ride. But, the whole things plays like such a rusty old clunker that if you found it on the side of the road, wouldn't even be worth breaking up and selling for spare parts.- NZGamer

Levels are fun to play, with a good variety of play mechanics and ever escalating challenge that keeps you pushing for a ridiculously large improvement in your skillbase, only to find an even harder chunk of gameplay around the corner.- NZGamer

If you're a first person shooter fan, and you have an iPad, and you care much more about blasting mindless aliens with a shotgun than being immersed in a riveting story, then Nova could well be for you.- NZGamer

Overall, Around the World in 80 Days offers an hour or so more playing time than Call of Atlantis – and is very similar; however it's not quite as much fun.- NZGamer

Casual gamers: if you're looking for something a little different - with bags of character, that will challenge your wits and reflexes (and test your patience!), then this is well worth a look-see.- NZGamer

I can't quite say that this is the worst Kinect launch game, but it's right up (read: down) there.- NZGamer

It's a clever concept, and the game offers surprising depth once you get past the repetitive 'weak enemy' battles of the first half hour.- NZGamer

EXTREME Sheepdog trials is certainly unique, but I am unsure whether the activity required videogame translation. For enthusiasts (if they exist) only.- NZGamer

The AI can be a bit dense in the team games, though, which end up feeling rather shallow and pointless as a result. Again, the hollow disappointment of finding so few random games to play will rear it's ugly head here and this, as a result, is likely to be the point at which you stop playing it.- NZGamer

The feeling that DCUO is a brand-new game, that hasn't quite ironed out the wrinkles, is palpable.- NZGamer

There are plenty of similarities between the latest and previous incarnations, but PopCap have achieved their brief of introducing innovative ideas while maintaining the classic Bejeweled gameplay we know and love.- NZGamer

Everything about this game is either bog-standard and forgettable (audio and graphics fall under this heading) or broken and un-enjoyable (nearly all of the actual gameplay).- NZGamer

At no point in the adventure do you ever suspect you're playing a cellphone game, nor do you feel like the experience is ever less than it can or should be. It's fun to play with a cool (if formulaic and linear) tale to tie the various levels together. If you're at all interested in Kingdom Hearts and have a DS, there's no reason to leave this one on the shelf - just make sure you've played through Birth by Sleep before you do!- NZGamer

Sonic Free Riders might look like just another board racing Kinect game, but it's a league above others like CrossBoard 7 in terms of depth and replayability.- NZGamer

It's an enjoyable game, and I have had the songs stuck in my head for a few days after playing it. If you're a fan of Glee, and enjoy having a sing along at home, you will most likely enjoy this.- NZGamer

Still, the game is kind of brilliant. More importantly, and I can't emphasize this enough, when you first play it, or see someone you know play it, it is the funniest thing you will see in your life.- NZGamer

Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet is pretty short and very easy, and like any game aimed at the younger market you go in reluctant to pay full price and still come out the other side feeling a bit ripped-off.- NZGamer

While ultimately echochrome ii is a sparse puzzler where you point a light source at a cluster of coloured blocks, it is so lovely, so seamless, and so enjoyable to play (not to mention bloody difficult at times), I'm adamant if you are going to purchase a Move this Christmas, echochrome ii is an absolute must-have.- NZGamer

As a movie franchised game, it is better than most but the lack of variety and often difficult controls stop it from being a classic game.- NZGamer

The raw ingredients for a fun, fast-paced, high-adrenaline racer that the Kinect sorely needs are all in place. But sadly CrossBoard 7 is ultimately let down by a lack of fine-tuning in the motion-control and gameplay department.- NZGamer
