The revamped HUD works a treat, and the convenience factor of not having to install a huge number of mods is also a major plus.- NZGamer

While the Console Sims 3 paints its picture with broader brushstrokes than its PC counterpart, it still captures all that's great about this series. The customisation, irreverent humour, bizarre character creation options, and online exchange features are all here, with good design and time-suckingly great gameplay.- NZGamer

Regardless of your particular alignment on the question as to the value proposition, Skylanders is a very well executed and fun game. It's appropriate for the entire family and delivers a compelling new hook that isn't just the same stuff re-skinned for a new generation.- NZGamer

The game is very playable and is an absolute bucket-load of bloody fun. And who doesn't fancy joining the undead for a night, or sending a few of the blood-sucking freaks back to their graves for good?- NZGamer

City Living gives us a township full of life that’s easy and fun to explore. With new ways to do jobs and fun interactions with neighbours, this is one expansion any Sims lover should add to their collection.- NZGamer

Lost Odyssey’s turn-based combat is a bit of a mixed bag, with both its good and bad points. While the five mortals learn skills as they level up, the four immortals can only learn skills and magic spells by equipping an accessory or ‘linking’ with a mortal.- NZGamer

When the last zombie limbs fall, the additional multiplayer modes are passable in the face of cooperative play in the story mode – dual wielding is great too. The only thing letting this down are the frame rate dips. This is a great single and multiplayer title, worth a rent at the very least.- NZGamer

WWE '13 offers a lot more of what we want (and less of what we don't) than last year's release. It features a lot more customizations, a larger roster, and superior story mode. It feels more polished. This is the game WWE '12 should have been.- NZGamer

We can't ignore the fact that the gloss is entirely absent. There's a fun game underneath the garish surface and there's plenty of it, too. Can you handle the fact that the graphics look like they didn't go any further than the Prototype stage? If you can and you like the sound of incredibly high-energy action where you get to chuck cars at helicopters, snap it up.- NZGamer

No Going Back is a fitting end to the second season of The Walking Dead. It's well written, expertly paced, and comes to a conclusion that is surprising, distressing, and pays a clever homage to Season One...But therein lies the rub: Season Two is good, and great at times, but it never reaches the lofty heights of its predecessor.- NZGamer

But without the Circle Pad Pro, it's a bit of a bumpier ride - albeit a more portable one. The four face buttons now control the camera, which is vastly inferior, and makes a lot of difference. Seriously, Nintendo can't come out with revised 3DS hardware soon enough.- NZGamer

There’s an interesting mix of characters and environments to keep the gameplay fresh, and the soundtrack is a delight. It doesn’t hold up so well as a single-player experience because of the repetitive nature if you have to do everything yourself, but it’s a great party game with some friends.- NZGamer

Some of the original game's grandeur and visual impact may have been lost in its transition to the small screen, but much of the original charm remains. The story is engaging and you're guaranteed many, many hours of playing time.- NZGamer

Although it’s no Final Fantasy X (which still remains the greatest of all time) Tales of Xillia is definitely a worthwhile purchase if you’re a fan of RPGs, and provides everything you’d expect from a story-driven game.- NZGamer

The story that The Pillars of the Earth tells makes it worth sitting through a few tedious puzzles and the odd bug. This is just the first part of three planned, and I can’t wait to see how the rest of the game plays out.- NZGamer

This is definitely the weakest iteration of Vegas 2; if you have a PS3 or 360, it’s easy to recommend those versions over this one, even if the controls aren’t quite as tight.- NZGamer

I walked away from Unravel thinking not about those moments of frustration, plentiful as they are. All I could think about - and still keep thinking about - is the beautiful adventure I’d been on with Yarny, all culminating in one of the most captivating, lovely, heartwarming endings I’ve seen.Truly, Unravel is a special game.- NZGamer
